Developer soliciting player feedback for five potential changes to weapons and vehicles.
the poll:
http://blogs.battlefield.com/2014/01/bf4-balancing-feedback/

if you care check it out. i think they have bigger fish to fry than weapons/vehicles.

but if i must.:

assault:
had no weapons against tanks/vehicles. not even a painting aiblity. assault should be your pushers the people attacking objectives on the front line. they should have some power against vehicles.. the ability to paint(a target) should be an attachment.

I've heard of so many bugs being in the general gameplay, I can't believe DICE is worried about weapons and stuff, A friend of mine told me that on a few levels the game refuses to load after a cut screen you just have to exit and restart your last checkpoint, stuff like that.

the bugs on xb1 are mainly stability/connection issues... since the jan 15 patch a few things have gotten worse. mainly the 0 death glitch.. where you can die from a player with 0 health.

personally for me.. i have roughly 200hours logged in on xb1.

helicopter are very over powered... especially if you can get a player or 2 that are willing to run repair. if you have a good driver/shooter and 2 guys running repair you can do major damage and basically stay in the air. this could be altered where you need to be on the ground for repair... or make it where an rpg/anti air missile can drop a helicopter with 1 hit which is a bit more life like than how the game i setup now.

lmg(light machine guns) are very bulky and take forever to reload they seem very weak for the size personally.. i would say up the lmg damage to 40/50 but reduce the movment.... since a machine gun is belt fed or box fed(in real life) this would be a bit more accurate. riht now you can run and gun with a lmg like its an ar15..

one of the biggest upgrades/additions dice could do..: aboility to have different ammo.. armor peircing,nato,tracer... ect ect.. i think this could make certin guns game changers. especially for guns like ar15's and pdw.. i would love to see a explosive round. i am not saying for every gun..

scale back the sniper rife... the effective damage is to high for distance shots. i am ok with 300-600yd 1 shot kills.. but when snipping across map the same shot should have a ton of velocity drop. and drop the 40x zoom scope. on mpas like parcel storm when the wind kicks up and the storm is in full effect wind should play a factor.

one thing dice needs to really address... kills thru objects... this probably frustrates me more than anything.. i understand objects take damage but if you are useing a pillar for cover and its concrete you shouldnt be able to be killed unless you pop out and get piced off..

Yeah.I had my own share of issues on the game. The primary issue that I have is that it keeps on freezing on me especially when I'm on a co-op with friends. Some of the weapons really have some issues, most of them are overpowered and a lot of them take a long time to reload.

update went live today.. its 1.23gb update...

CPU/GPU performance and monitoring

Tweaked and improved CPU multi-core utilization to try and avoid stuttering and low framerate due to stalls that happened on some CPU and OS configurations.
Users can now configure and control themselves how many CPU cores should be used in the game with the new “Thread.MaxProcessorCount” settings in User.cfg.
“Render.DrawScreenInfo 1” now also shows information about which CPU and GPU is in the system, how many GPUs & CPU cores are used and which renderer (DirectX 11 or Mantle) is active
Added new “PerfOverlay.FrameFileLogEnable” command that records frame times on CPU & GPU and logs out to a .csv file
AMD Catalyst driver 13.12 (or later) is now recommended instead of 13.9
Enabled tile-based compute shader lighting optimization on Nvidia for improved GPU performance (already active on AMD GPUs)
Improved performance with rendering and spotlights for all GPUs, primarily in in-door environments

DMR Balance Tweaks

Increased the damage of all DMRs across all ranges. Specifically, damage has been increased at long ranges to allow three-hit kills against unarmored opponents. Additionally, reduced the penalty to accuracy for sustained DMR fire, allowing more rapid follow up shots in combat. The amount of the damage increase varies from weapon to weapon, according to its intended range, rate of fire, and damage. We will continue to monitor the effectiveness of DMRs in combat, and determine if additional action is needed to make DMRs a viable mid to long range weapon.

Other items

Greatly reduced the risk of crosshairs disappearing, which would also result in hit markers disappearing
Added a headshot icon on the killcard. This should help identify instances where players are correctly killed by one shot
Fixed an issue in Squad Deathmatch where the “Win/Lose” text was overlapping
Fixed an issue with players using an exploit for the SOFLAM
Fixed an issue with players using an exploit for the MAV
Fixed the gameplay code to properly track the FOV (Field of View) changes in the options menu
Fixed an issue where chat would break when entering "false" or "true" in the chat window
Fixed an out-of-helicopter glitch in Air Superiority where players could spawn on the ground and play as infantry
Fixed the misaligned crosshairs on the T90 MBT
Added setting to tweak joystick dead zone
Various minor crash fixes

absolutely huge update.. which means i will be playing it tonight like every other night... if your going to attemp a bf4 play... add me.. and put on that headset team up and gets get to the grind.

just as i suspected... drm's are all the rage.... till yesterday you didn't say many at all... now 3/4 of the map is running dmr's... overpowered and the reload is faster.. dmr's are now powerful rifles which makes rifles pointless... most dmr's have 8 or so more damage than average rifle.

Good for the DRM users and bad for those who are used to rifles like me.

its just been a flood of drm's the last 2 days... i am sure it will die down when people go back to pwd and such..

dmr's are definitely op, it kind of ruined the game for me, in total i really did not like the game that much t all

I hope to see changes on the next patch, they have to start balancing the weapons.

i think the real issue is more distance over damage. ive been killed by a assault rife at a distance that makes no sense.. i cant say its a lucky shot because it dosn't seem the bullet drop/velocity has anything to do with weapons other than snipers .. maybe drm's but with a reload speed and lack of single shot scout/snipers are almost pointless.. the only benefit is the 40x zoom scopes if you can position yourself far enough.

next issue i see falls into anti tank/vehicle damage. the critical hit with say a javelin or rpg ect ect is very tough almost dosn't happen. critical hits seem to be vehicle specific... i think it should be position specific. an rpg to say the rear of a tank is more of a critical than side/front..
basically what i am saying if you have the ability to do active armor pop smoke.. and can equip both if you want.(call it a defensive approach) or you can equip 30mm,coax rounds, and have a (offensive approach) and many combo's in between.. their should be weak spots along with strong spots.
i also think the c4 is a bit strong... i guess with 3/4 packs its fine but i have seen single c4 take a big vehicle out.
