Xbox 360 Halo Reach - How good is it?

This will be first Halo game since Halo 2.
Is it really good?
I picked it up because it's free with gold right now.

I'd say Reach is actually my favorite out of the entire series other than Halo 2. The game is very hard, the hardest in the series.

Hardest eh? Well that's pretty good to hear, most modern shooters don't give me much trouble..

Old topic, but not many in this section, but it is not my favorite, but is still a great game to play with friends.

Well I am certainly a little bit biased, because the whole Halo series just happens to be up there with my all time favorites, but this is a great game. I think that it all really depends on the person as to which Halo they would prefer, but my guess is that if you are a fan of the series then this one will fall right in line. It is a little more difficult, like @heavensdevil mentioned, but I am not sure if it is the hardest. Anyways, thanks for sharing.
