Original Xbox I never owned an Xbox - did I miss out on much?

You should be able to play the original Xbox games on your 360 console so I do not think that you really missed out on much the only thing that you need to ensure though is that you pick up some of the titles that were on the Xbox that were really good so that you can play and really have a great time playing them.
 
Most of the best titles also came out on other consoles. Microsoft really didn't double down onto exclusives until the 360 era.
