The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, better known simply as Skyrim, is the fifth installment in Bethesda’s Elder Scrolls franchise. Defined by open worlds and almost complete player freedom, Skyrim defines modern role-playing video games. Skyrim is single-player and takes place in, well, Skyrim. The player takes on the role of the Dragonborn and goes about saving the world in the main storyline, all while doing just about anything he or she wants with the rest of the world.

Skyrim contains the usual 50 achievements, plus an additional 25 achievements spread through 3 downloadable add-ons (Hearthfire, Dawnguard, and Dragonborn). Getting 100% of the achievements is not overly difficult, but will require a large time investment. For example, I don’t know just how many times I spent 4+ hours doing nothing but crafting items, selling items, and organizing my houses’ inventories. That being said, the game can be completed in a single playthrough, and the guides below will explain just how to get all 75 achievements. They are broken into section by:

  • General Tips for 100% Achievements
  • Skyrim Achievements

You can find the achievement guides for Dragonborn, Hearthfire, & Dawnguard here:

While Skyrim is an immense open world game, the quests are fairly easy to follow and the dungeons are extremely linear. The best way to make use of the quest guides below is to read them as you go through the quests themselves (I have left them vague intentionally to limit the spoilers). Speaking of spoilers:

***NOTE: There will be some necessary spoilers in the guides for each quest achievement, so read at your own risk. These guides are intentionally vague to keep spoilers to an absolute minimum, but some still slip through. If you wish to figure out puzzles for yourself, many of the quest guides are not for you. If you are looking for a guide for a specific achievement and don’t want to spoil anything else, I suggest using the Find function and typing the name of the achievement.

General Tips for 100% Achievements

There are a couple different ways to go about getting all the achievements. You could create multiple characters and concentrate on different things with each one, but this guide is about efficiently getting everything. With that in mind, I highly suggest creating one character to get all the achievements. The race doesn’t really matter, but I went with a Nord so that I’d fit in with the general rabble in the game.

First, follow the game through the main quest-line first, this way you get the general story without too much interruption, plus you’ll get a lot of the achievements along the way.

Second, go through the civil war quest-line. Again, this will get you a complete story and some more achievements.

Third, go through the Thieve’s Guild, Dark Brotherhood, College of Winterhold, and Daedric Artifact quest-lines. This will get you some more stories and a bulk of the achievements. Order does not matter here, so pick the one that seems most interesting. The Thieves Guild will take the longest to complete, while the Dark Brotherhood and College of Winterhold are comparatively quick. The Daedric Artifact line only nets two achievements for 15 quests. If you miss any part of the line you’ll need to create a new character to try again.

Fourth, if you have all the DLC, go through the Dawnguard and Dragonborn quest-lines, as they are both a lot of fun and will get you a total of twenty achievements.

By the time you get through those steps you should have most of the achievements, and you’ll probably be close to level 60, possibly even 70 if you mixed up your play style as you went. When you level, make sure to increase all three stats (Magic, Health, and Stamina) with an end-game perspective. I boosted Stamina very high so that I could carry a lot and not have to worry about constant trips to town to sell junk. Health was my second primary, as I didn’t want to die because of a stupid mistake and have to repeat long chunks of game. The reason magic was my lowest, capping out around 200, is because you can cast anything in the game for free if you enchant your equipment correctly. By the time you’re casting high level spells you should have a high level of enchanting as well. You can enchant yourself a full set of armor that will make two schools of magic completely free, making the magic stat useless! Your decisions may be different, but I highly suggest thinking about what stats you increase and when before you do so.

Finally, go through and finish any achievements you haven’t completed yet. You’ll have plenty of money by this point, so the Hearthfire quests can be completed with ease. The last one you will likely get (assuming you have all the DLC) is Legend, as legendary dragons don’t start spawning until you’re level 75+. While levels come quick early, by the time you hit 50 levels are going to slow to a trickle. To get to 80 you’ll need to max every skill out, so be sure to mix up your play style and boost those neglected skills! Thankfully, with the Dragonborn DLC, you will have an option to refund all the skill points in a tree at the cost of one Dragon Soul, so leveling new trees will be easier.

For detailed information on quests that aren’t listed in this guide, I highly suggest the official Elder Scrolls wiki page. The community there has compiled a TON of information on everything the game has to offer, so you will be able to find any missing info and more detailed walkthroughs there. Be warned, they have not taken the same care to avoid spoilers that this guide has. You can find the Elder Scrolls: Skyrim wiki here.

Skyrim Achievements

The Way of the Voice.jpg THE WAY OF THE VOICE (20G)
Complete “The Way of the Voice”
This quest is part of the Main Story quest line and will be given after completing “Dragon Rising”. Your goal is to reach the Greybeards.
  • Travel to Ivarstead by taking the mountain road east past Helgen (where the game began).
  • Cross the bridge in Ivarstead towards the mountain and follow the path of stairs. This is a long walk and there can be some challenging enemies, so take your time.

Once you’ve learned this shout Arngeir will tell you your training is complete, the quest completes, and the achievement is yours.

Diplomatic Immunity.jpg DIPLOMATIC IMMUNITY (20G)
Complete “Diplomatic Immunity”
This quest is part of the Main Story quest line and begins after reading the note in “The Horn of Jurgen Windcaller”.

  • Go to Solitude and meet with Malborn in the Winking Skeever tavern.
  • Give Malborn any equipment you want for the quest. This includes armor, weapons, potions, picks, and ANYTHING else you want.
  • Meet Delphine again, this time at Katla’s Farm in Solitude. Put on the party clothes she gives you and take the carriage to the Thalmor Embassy.
  • Enter the party, talk to Malborn (tending bar), and create a distraction. An easy distraction is to talk to the drunk on the bench and get him a drink. After he has his drink he’ll make the distraction for you.
  • Speak to Malborn during the distraction and he will lead you through some locked doors to your equipment. Grab everything from the chest and equip your items.
  • Go through the embassy, killing the Thalmor guards as you go. Follow the indicator on your compass and you’ll find the exit. Kill the guards outside and enter Elenwen’s Solar.
  • Kill everyone inside, grab the items from the chest (make sure to flip through the pages of the books to activate the next objective), then head into the dungeons.
  • Kill everyone again, then either grab the documents from the chest, torture the prisoner, or release the prisoner for the needed information.
  • Once the information is learned, two guards will appear with Malborn. Kill the guards, loot the key, and escape through the trapdoor.
  • Kill the frost troll in the cave and exit.
  • Return to Riverwood to get your remaining gear from the chest in Delphine’s secret room. The quest completes and the achievement is yours.

Alduin's Wall.jpg ALDUIN’S WALL (20G)

  • Take Esbern to Riverwood (use fast travel to save time) and talk to Delphine.

  • Work your way through Karthspire. Lower the bridge by turning all three pillars to the Dragon symbol.
  • In the room with many pressure plates, walk across the plates with the Dragon symbol to avoid damage. Pull the chain and continue on.
  • Activate the plate in front of the large stone face, and after the cut scene head into Sky Haven Temple.
  • Listen to Esbern talk about the wall. The quest completes and the achievement is yours.

Elder Knowledge.jpg ELDER KNOWLEDGE (20G)

This quest is part of the Main Story quest line and begins after completing “The Throat of the World.”
  • Talk to Arngeir or Esberm about the Elder Scroll and you will be directed to The College of Winterhold.
  • Enter the college by passing the gatekeeper’s test, persuading her, or telling her you are dargonborn and showing her a shour. Enter the main door to the college and go through the door to The Arcaneaum.
  • Talk to Urag gro-Shub (an Orc) and ask him about the Elder Scrolls. He will give you two books. Leaf through both and you will get another quest. Talk to Urag again and tell him that “Ruminations on the Elder Scrolls” are incomprehensible. He will direct you to the author: Septimus Signus.
  • Go to the location marked and talk to Spetimus Signus about the Elder Scroll. He will direct you to Blackreach and give you the necessary items to get the Elder Scroll.
  • Head for Alftand (southwest of Winterhold, in the snow mountains). Travel through the tunnels and the subsequent Dwemer Ruins and enter the Alftand Animondulory.
  • Travel through the Alftand Animondulory and enter the Alftand Cathedral.
  • Travel through the Alftand Cathedral until you reach Sulla and Umana. Kill them both and continue to the Dwarven Mechanism. Use the Attunement Sphere and follow the stairs down and enter Blackreach.

  • Go through the golden doors in the Tower to enter The Oculory.
  • Climb the ramp to the very top and place the Blank Lexicon on the Lexicon Receptical. Now press the button on the right a couple times until the button left of the middle pedestal activates. Press that button a few times until the button on the far left glows. Press that one and some crystals descend from the ceiling and split open, revealing the Elder Scroll.
  • Grab the scroll. The quest completes and the achievement is yours.

The Fallen.jpg THE FALLEN (20G)
Complete “The Fallen”
This quest is part of the Main Story quest line and begins after completing “Alduin’s Bane.” It is suggested that you have the civil war questline completed before this quest, otherwise you will have to complete the additional “Season Unending” quest.
  • Complete “Season Unending” if you haven’t finished the civil war quest line yet.
  • Learn the Call Dragon shout.
  • Travel to Whiterun and speak to the Jarl there to set up a trap for a dragon.
  • Go out onto the balcony behind the Jarl’s throne and use Call Dragon to summon Odahviing.
  • Don’t waste arrows or health by trying to fight the dragon, he’s invincible for now. Instead, lure him into the balcony and spring the trap.
  • Speak to Odahviing and accept his offer to be flown to Skuldafn.
  • Release the dragon and speak to him again to be carried to Alduin’s portal. The quest completes and the achievement is yours.

Dragonslayer.jpg DRAGONSLAYER (50G)
Complete “Dragonslayer”
This quest is the final part of the Main Story quest line and begins after completing “Sovngarde.”
  • Cross the bridge and use the Clear Skies shout three times with the heroes to clear the mist.
  • Kill Alduin.
    • This fight isn’t much harder than any other dragon fight. The easiest way is to use Dragonrend whenever you can, hide behind some cover, and shoot him with arrows. You have the assistance of three heroes here, so Alduin should fall quickly.
  • Once Alduin dies and you return to Skyrim the quest completes and the achievement is yours.

Take Up Arms.jpg TAKE UP ARMS (10G)
Join the Companions.
Travel to Whiterun and enter Jorrvaskr. Speak to the people inside until you are directed to the Harbinger, Kodlak Whitemane. After the conversation, go outside and fight Vilkas (only non-enchanted weapons or fists may be used, no magic). Complete the errand quests that you are directed to run and the achievement is yours.

Blood Oath.jpg BLOOD OATH (10G)
Become a member of the Circle.
This quest is part of the Companion’s quest line. You must complete the quest “Proving Honor” to become a member of the Circle.

  • Speak to Farkas and agree to meet at Dustman’s Cairn.
  • Travel to Dustman’s Cairn (southeast of Morthal) and meet Farkas.
  • Travel through the linear dungeon (through Dustman’s Crypt) until you reach the word wall (Fire Breath).
  • Prepare for a major fight. When you’re ready, grab the fragment and fight off the large number of Draugr that attack you.
  • Exit the dungeon and return to Jorrvaskr to be inducted into the Circle. The quest completes and the achievement is yours.

Glory of the Dead.jpg GLORY OF THE DEAD (30G)
Complete “Glory of the Dead”
This quest is the final part of the Companion’s quest line and beings after completing “Purity of Revenge.”
  • Go to the Skyforge to attend the funeral.
  • Enter Kodlak’s room to retrieve the last shard of Wuuthrad (found in the end drawer).
  • Take the fragment to Eorlund.
  • Enter the Underforge to meet with the Circle. Get Wuuthrad from Eorlund and travel to Ysgramor’s Tomb (northwest of Winterhold).
  • Equip Wuuthrad and activate Ysgramor’s statue to open the way forward (note: you can take Wuuthrad back immediately without the passage closing).
  • Go through the linear dungeon until you reach a large chamber with a fire in the middle. Activate the fire to place a witch head in it. This will start a battle with a spirit beast.
  • Defeat the beast and talk to Kodlak. The quest completes and the achievement is yours.

Gatekeeper.jpg GATEKEEPER (10G)
Join the College of Winterhold.
Travel to the College of Winterhold and speak to the gatekeeper on the bridge. There are three ways to gain access to the college: cast the spell that the gatekeeper requests (you can buy it from her if you do not know it yet, though you must have enough to magicka to cast it), pass a speech check, or tell her you are Dragonborn and demonstrate a shout. Follow the linear directions the achievement will be yours.

Revealing the Unseen.jpg REVEALING THE UNSEEN (10G)
Complete “Revealing the Unseen”
This quest is part of The College of Winterhold quest line and is available after completing “Good Intentions.”
  • Talk to Mirabelle Ervine about the Staff of Magnus. She will direct you to Mzulft.
  • Head for Mzulft (north of Riften).
  • Follow the quest indicator into the ruins. Continue through the dungeon until you meet Paratus and reach the Oculory.
  • Use Flames and Frostbite to realign the mirrors in the Oculory. Once aligned, speak to Paratus. A map of the world shows up and, through a series of conversations, the player is directed back to the College.
  • Upon arriving, speak to Savos Aren and cast a fire spell at the barrier to continue. After some more conversation the quest completes and the achievement is yours.

The Eye of Magnus.jpg THE EYE OF MAGNUS (30G)
Complete “The Eye of Magnus”
This quest is the final part of The College of Winterhold quest line and is available after “The Staff of Magnus.”
  • Travel to the College of Winterhold and equip the Staff of Magnus. Use the staff on the maelstrom to clear it away. Continue on into the College and face Ancano.
  • Fight Ancano, using the Staff to deactivate the Eye when it starts coming apart.
  • Once Ancano is dispatched, speak to Tolfdir to complete the quest and the achievement is yours.

Taking Care of Business.jpg TAKING CARE OF BUSINESS (10G)
Join the Thieves Guild.
Travel to Riften and speak with Brynjolf in the marketplace between 8:00am and 8:00pm to start the quest “A Chance Arrangement.” Follow the instructions and, succeed or fail, the player will be given access to the Thieves Guild.

Darkness Returns.jpg DARKNESS RETURNS (10G)
Complete “Darkness Returns”
This is the final major quest in the Thieves Guild quest line. You’ll need to follow the line through nine other quests before starting this one.
  • Travel to the Twilight Sepulcher (west of Falkreath).
  • Speak to the Nightingale Sentinel standing watch just inside.
  • Follow the Pilgrim’s Path through the five challenges and return the Skeleton Key to Ebonmere.
  • Listen to the speech by Nocturnal and speak with Karliah.
  • Choose a Nightingale Role, the quest completes, and the achievement is yours.

One with the Shadows.jpg ONE WITH THE SHADOWS (30G)
Returned the Thieves Guild to its former glory.
To get this achievement you will have to upgrade each piece of your Thieves Guild armor, so make sure that you DO NOT sell or lose any piece. Once you’ve completed 5 quests from Delvin and/or Vex in each major city you’ll get a major quest for that city. Complete four cities to upgrade all of the armor and the achievement will be yours upon upgrading the final piece.

With Friends Like These....jpg WITH FRIENDS LIKE THESE… (10G)
Join the Dark Brotherhood.
This is the first quest in the Dark Brotherhood quest line. You’ll need to complete “Innocence Lost,” after which the player will receive a note from a courier imprinted with a black hand. Once you receive the note, sleep in any bed and you will be kidnapped and will wake up in an abandoned shack. Listen to Astrid and then kill any combination of the three bound people in the shack. Once you’ve killed one (or all) of the prisoners the achievement is yours.

Bound Until Death.jpg BOUND UNTIL DEATH (10G)
Complete “Bound Until Death”
This is part of the Dark Brotherhood quest line and is available after completing “The Silence Has Been Broken.”
  • Travel to Solitude to assassinate the bride.
  • You can use any of the offered methods to kill the bride.
  • Escape Solitude and return to Astrid. The quest completes and the achievement is yours.

Hail Sithis!.jpg HAIL SITHIS! (30G)
Complete “Hail Sithis!”
This is the final quest in the Dark Brotherhood quest line and is available after completing “Death Incarnate.”
  • The quest, like most others in the Dark Brotherhood line, is very linear. Follow the instructions, assassinate the target, the quest completes, and the achievement is yours.

Taking Sides.jpg TAKING SIDES (10G)
Join the Stormcloaks or the Imperial Army.
Complete the first quest of the Civil War quest line for either the Stormcloaks (kill an ice wrait) or the Imperial Army (clear Fort Hraggstad) and the achievement is yours.

War Hero.jpg WAR HERO (10G)
Capture Fort Sungard or Fort Greenwall.
Complete the quest of the Civil War quest line for either the Stormcloaks (The Battle for Fort Sungard) or the Imperial Army (The Battle for Fort Greenwall) and the achievement is yours.

Hero of Skyrim.jpg HERO OF SKYRIM (30G)
Capture Solitude or Windhelm.
Complete the last quest of the Civil War quest line for either the Stormcloaks (Battle for Solitude) or the Imperial Army (Battle for Windhelm) and the achievement is yours.

Sideways.jpg SIDEWAYS (20G)
Complete 10 side quests.
There are more than 30 side quests in the standard Skyrim game. Ones that count towards this achievement are:
  • A Return To Your Roots
  • A Scroll for Anska
  • Ancestral Worship
  • Evil In Waiting
  • Forbidden Legend
  • In My Time of Need
  • Infiltration
  • Kyne's Sacred Trials
  • Laid to Rest
  • Lights Out!
  • Missing in Action
  • No One Escapes Cidhna Mine
  • Promises to Keep
  • Repairing the Phial
  • Repentance
  • Rise in the East
  • Rising At Dawn
  • Siege on the Dragon Cult
  • Silenced Tongues
  • Tending the Flames
  • The Blessings of Nature
  • The Book of Love
  • The Forsworn Conspiracy
  • The Golden Claw
  • The Heart of Dibella
  • The Lost Expedition
  • The Man Who Cried Wolf
  • The Pale Lady
  • The White Phial
  • The Wolf Queen Awakened
  • Unfathomable Depths
Complete any 10 of them and the achievement is yours!

Hero of the People.jpg HERO OF THE PEOPLE (30G)
Complete 50 Miscellaneous Objectives.
The easiest way to get this achievement is to play a long game of tag with children in one of the towns or major cities. Every time you are tagged you get a miscellaneous objective. When you tag someone, you complete that objective and get another one. This goes on indefinitely, so keep going until you get the achievement!

Hard Worker.jpg HARD WORKER (10G)
Chop wood, mine ore, and cook food.
This achievement can be completed all at once in the Embershard Mine, which you’ll pass right after the game’s intro (assuming you head to Riverwood as the quest directs). Pick up a pickaxe and activate on of the ore veins, grab a woodcutters axe and activate a chopping block, and grab some uncooked food items and activate a pot or spit to create a cooked dish. Complete all three and the achievement is yours!

Thief.jpg THIEF (30G)
Pick 50 locks and 50 pockets.
Picking 50 locks will come easily over the course of the game. The best way to go about picking 50 pockets is to steal very cheap things from people. Make sure you’re sneaking behind someone, open their inventory, and scroll through their items until you find the cheapest thing there. Take it and exit the menu. Do this 50 times, plus picking 50 locks, and the achievement is yours.

Snake Tongue.jpg SNAKE TONGUE (10G)
Successfully persuade, bribe, and intimidate.
If you have trouble getting this, throw some points into your speech skill. Select each option in dialogue once and the achievement is yours.

Blessed.jpg BLESSED (10G)
Select a Standing Stone blessing.
After the game’s intro, follow the path and keep an eye out for the standing stone symbol to appear on your compass. You will find a set of three stones by the river on your way to Riverwood (Thief, Warrior, and Mage). Select one and the achievement is yours.

Standing Stones.jpg STANDING STONES (30G)
Find 13 Standing Stones.
You’ll need to discover all 13 standing stones spread across Skyrim. You do not need to activate the stones, only discover them. They are (with a brief description of their location):
  • The Warrior Stone: see “Blessed” for location description.
  • The Thief Stone: see “Blessed” for location description.
  • The Mage Stone: see “Blessed” for location description.
  • The Lover Stone: east of Markarth, north of Kolskeggr Mine.
  • The Apprentice Stone: northwest of Morthal, South of Solitude.
  • The Atronach Stone: between Windhelm and Riften, in the marshland by the river.
  • The Lady Stone: west of Riverwood, on an island in Lake Ilinalta
  • The Lord Stone: northeast of Shrine of Mehrunes Dagon, east of Morthal, southwest of Dawnstar, northwest of Whiterun, in the mountains.
  • The Ritual Stone: east of Whiterun, between Whiterun and Valtheim Towers.
  • The Serpent Stone: north of Windhelm, east of Winterhold, on Serpentstone Island.
  • The Shadow Stone: south of Riften, in the small mountain range.
  • The Steed Stone: directly north of Statue to Meridia, west of Solitude.
  • The Tower Stone: directly west of The College of Winterhold, between Winterhold Hold and Dawnstar.

Citizen.jpg CITIZEN (10G)
Buy a house.
If you have the Hearthfire DLC you will get this while working on those achievements. If not, the first available house will likely be in Whiterun after you become Thane, and will cost you 5000g. Buy the house and the achievement is yours!

Wanted.jpg WANTED (10G)
Escape from jail.
This can be done in any major city, but is easiest after you’ve raised your lockpicking skill up (both in the game and your own skill). Commit a crime in any hold, talk to a guard, and select the “take me to jail” option. All of your items will be taken from your inventory with the exception of one lockpick. Most jails have two exits, so pick one and pick the lock. Once you’ve successfully picked the lock the achievement is yours, so either fight off the guards (high magic skill is important for this), run for your life, or load up your latest save prior to being arrested.

Married.jpg MARRIED (10G)
Get married.
If you don’t have any DLC, this achievement is simple:
  • Buy an Amulet of Mara from Maramal for 200 gold
    • Maramal is found in Riften, either in the Temple of Mara or the Bee and Barb.
  • Equip the amulet and speak to an eligible person. After aiding a person with a (generally) quick quest the option to marry will usually be available. Ask and the person will accept.
Once you attend the ceremony in Riften the achievement is yours!

Artificer.jpg ARTIFICER (10G)
Make a smithed item, an enchanted item, and a potion.
This can be achieved right at the beginning of the game:
  • Talk to Alvor in Riverwood to get free materials to smith an item. Run to Whiterun and enter the alchemy shop.
  • Buy a couple ingredients and combine them until you get a potion.
  • Head to Dragonsreach (the castle in Whiterun) and find the wizard’s chamber. You can either buy a soul gem from him or steal one of the ones lying around the room. You’ll need two other things: an item with an enchantment (found in most dungeons) and a matching item without an enchantment (weapon for weapon, chest piece for chest piece, etc). Disenchant the enchanted item, then put the enchantment on the unenchanted one.
Do all three and the achievement is yours!

Master Criminal.jpg MASTER CRIMINAL (20G)
Bounty of 1000 gold in all nine holds.
Wait until you’re a higher level and have discovered all nine holds. The easiest way to do this is to kill a guard in front of witnesses (automatic 1000 gold bounty) and run away. Do this in each hold without paying off any of your bounties and the achievement is yours!

Golden Touch.jpg GOLDEN TOUCH (30G)
Have 100,000 gold.
This will take a while, but you will get there naturally while playing through the entire game. Early on you’ll need to watch your carry weight, so I go by the rule of only picking up items that have a value at least two times their weight (weight=10, value=<20). As you level up Alchemy you will earn a lot from selling the potions you make. The hardest part of this is actually finding enough vendors to sell your wares to. You can either wait in a shop for 48 hours so the keeper’s money replenishes, or run around all over Skyrim selling items. Either way, you’ll be doing a lot of travelling/waiting, but in the end you will have more money than you could possibly spend (plus the achievement!).

Delver.jpg DELVER (40G)
Clear 50 dungeons.
You’ll have to go all the way through 50 “dungeons” to get this one. To check if a dungeon is cleared already, look at it on the map: any dungeon that has already been counted as cleared will say “cleared” under the name. If you just want to check your progress you can find the total number of dungeons cleared in the character menu. The following all count as “dungeons”: camps, caves, dragon peaks, dwarven ruins, forts, giant camps, nord tombs, and towers.

Skill Master.jpg SKILL MASTER (40G)
Get a skill to 100.
You will have to max out one skill, which is a lot easier to do than it sounds. The easiest one to do this with is Smithing, as you just need to continue creating armor. Iron Daggers are the cheapest to make in the standard game. However, if you have the Dawnguard DLC, you can make a near infinite amount of Dwarven arrows to boost your skill, it just takes a bit of patience and farming:
  • Go to any dwarven ruins and collect all the scrap metal you can find.
  • Take the scrap metal to a smelter and turn it into Dwarven Metal Ingots.
  • Cut enough firewood to match the amount of ingots you have.
  • Create Dwarven arrows at a forge.
Each quiver of arrows boosts your Smithing level substantially, and arrows are weightless so your encumbrance will disappear in the process. The arrows can be sold for a decent profit as well, making this a decent way to bolster your wallet as well.
Either method you choose, once you get Smithing (or any other skill) to 100 the achievement is yours.

Explorer.jpg EXPLORER (40G)
Discover 100 locations.
You should get this pretty easily while playing the game, even if you fast travel a lot. The best thing to do if you run up short is just go run around an area on your map that lacks location markers. There are over 300 locations in Skyrim, so you’ll have plenty of exploring to do even after you’ve earned this achievement.

Reader.jpg READER (20G)
Read 50 Skill Books.
You will get this achievement while playing through the game if you’re going for %100 completion. Every time you go to a library, scroll over the books. If any of them have a value higher than 5 gold, read them. You don’t need to flip through the pages, but most books with a higher value will either start a quest or give you a skill point. Get a skill point from a book 50 times and the achievement is yours!

Daedric Influence.jpg DAEDRIC INFLUENCE (10G)
Acquire a Daedric Influence.
You only need to get one Daedric Artifact for this achievement. See “Oblivion Walker” for guides on each artifact.

Oblivion Walker.jpg OBLIVION WALKER (30G)
Collect 15 Daedric Artifacts.
There are 16 Daedric Artifacts that count towards this achievement, but only 15 can obtained during any single playthrough. Some of them ARE MISSABLE, so make sure you look over the guide before your start each quest. Expert.jpg EXPERT (25G)
Reach level 25.

Master.jpgMASTER (50G)
Reach level 50.
If you’re aiming to %100 Skyrim, you will likely reach this before you finish %50. If you’re having trouble reaching this, make sure to switch up your play style and use different skills as much as possible. The crafting skills, combat skills (archery, 1-handed weapons, 2-handed weapons, destruction magic), and thief skills are all quick ways to level up. Make sure that, whatever skills your concentrating on, you have the appropriate standing stone activated to boost your learn speed.
