Dawnguard is the first downloadable add-on for Skyrim. Released in June of 2012, Dawnguard included a vampire-centered quest line, the ability for the player to take on the vampire lord form, perk trees for vampire lords and werewolves, as well as a plethora of new shouts and weapons.
The Dawnguard DLC included 10 possible achievements:
Achievements: Skyrim Dawnguard
AWAKENING (20G)
Complete “Awakening”
This is the second quest in the Dawnguard quest line and is available after completing “Dawnguard.”
BEYOND DEATH (20G)
Complete “Beyond Death”
This quest is part of the Dawnguard quest line and is available after completing “Chasing Echoes.”
KINDRED JUDGEMENT (40G)
Complete “Kindred Judgment”
LOST TO THE AGES (30G)
Complete “Lost to the Ages”
SOUL TEAR (20G)
Learn all three words of Soul Tear.
After defeating Durnehviir in the Sould Cairn you must encounter him again. He will teach you the shout “Summon Durnehviir.” Use this shout three times to learn all the words to Soul Tear and the achievement is yours.
AURIEL’S BOW (20G)
Use the special power of Auriel’s Bow.
The bow is received at the end of the quest “Touching the Sky.” As soon as you get the bow, equip is with the Sunhallowed Arrows and shoot an arrow into the sun to receive the achievement.
WEREWOLF MASTERED (20G)
Acquire 11 werewolf perks.
Access the werewolf perk tree by opening the menu while in werewolf form. You will earn perk points by devouring human corpses in werewolf form (or more slowly by devouring any corpse after Savage Feeding is unlocked). Note that you will have to complete the quest “Totems of Hircine” in order to unlock all of the perks. Unlock all 11 and the achievement is yours.
VAMPIRE MASTERED (20G)
Acquire 11 vampire perks.
Similar to Werewolf Mastered, the vampire perk tree is accessed by opening the menu while in vampire lord form. You will earn perks by killing enemies with the vampire lord’s drain life spell. Unlock all 11 perks and the achievement is yours.
A NEW YOU (20G)
Change your face.
You’ll need to join the Thieves Guild to gain access to The Ragged Flagon. Inside you’ll find Galathil, “The Face Sculptor.” Speak to her and pay her the 1000 gold to re-sculpt your face. You cannot change your face if you are currently a vampire or a Vampire Lord.
LEGEND (40G)
Defeat a Legendary Dragon.
This will likely be the last achievement you earn in the entire game. Legendary dragons start to spawn between levels 75 and 80. Finding one is the difficult part, one you find one the fight goes the same as any other dragon fight.

AWAKENING (20G)Complete “Awakening”
This is the second quest in the Dawnguard quest line and is available after completing “Dawnguard.”
- Travel to Dimhollow Crypt (directly north of The Lord Stone).
- Follow the linear path through Dimhollow Crypt, killing any vampires and Death Hounds that you see.
- You’ll pass through a large cavern with a door and lever to the left.
- You’ll reach a room with four doors. The one to continue on is on the left.
- Continue along the path and into Dimhollow Cavern.
- Continue along Dimhollow Cavern’s path, fighting off the enemies and the vampire boss as they appear. After the boss, go over the bridge and press the button on the pedestal. Press the large brazier into position (their contents will light on fire). This causes the floor to lower and Serana to be revealed. The quest completes and the achievement is yours.
BEYOND DEATH (20G)Complete “Beyond Death”
This quest is part of the Dawnguard quest line and is available after completing “Chasing Echoes.”
- Follow the quest indicator on your compass to reach the ruins and speak with Valerica.
- Follow the markers to the three destinations and destroy the Boneyard Keepers.
- Defeat Durnehviir.
- Obtain the Elder Scroll (Blood).
- As soon as you emerge from the Soul Cairn the quest completes and the achievement is yours.
KINDRED JUDGEMENT (40G)Complete “Kindred Judgment”
- This is the final quest in the Dawnguard quest line and is available after completing “Touching the Sky.”
- Follow the directions based on the alignment you chose.
- Either path eventually leads to Castle Volkihar and a final confrontation.
- Defeat the boss, the quest completes, and the achievement is yours!
LOST TO THE AGES (30G)Complete “Lost to the Ages”
- Find a copy of “The Autherium Wars” (you can find a copy in Dragonsreach in Farengar’s lab) and read it to begin the quest.
- Travel to Arkngthamz, southeast of Markarth.
- Work your way through the ruins.
- Tonal Lock puzzle - shoot the targets in this order: bottom left, bottom right, top left, top right, bottom center. This opens the door to continue on. Any other order spawns enemies.
- Continue to follow the instructions through the ruins to find all the Aetherium Shards.
- Complete the massive battle in the Aetherium Forge.
- Use the Become Ethereal shout to cross the lava.
- Choose an item to be forged. NOTE: you can only choose one item. After the item is forged the quest completes and the achievement is yours.
