...It'll have porn. According to an article on eteknix, SugarDVD announced it's porn-streaming services will be available on the next-gen Xbox. Apparently, this service is available on the current Xbox and many other consoles as well, I had no idea. I just happened to come across this article and thought I'd share it here to see what you guys think about this. I would have linked directly to the article but I haven't been a member of this site long enough to post links yet.
 
Well, finally! It's not like they are selling drugs or something, it's just porn! Not going to harm anyone with a few innocent videos.
 
I agree with you, it doesn't bother me. I was just a little surprised though because I didn't know such a thing existed. Apparently it's even available on the Wii, haha, who knew! I think it's kind of funny the companies like Apple who try to pretend it doesn't exist, especially for adults. But the more surprising thing is people actually pay for it on their 360, don't they have computers where that sort of thing is free... to each his own though!
 
I think kids will be for it, but parents won't for obvious reasons. There will most likely be complaints from mostly grown ups. I however am not for it, not that I'm a parent or anything. I just think that porn is more accessible on the Internet than on consoles like the Wii.

I guess it all just boils down to personal preferences though. Extra features never hurt anyone especially if it's an option.
 
Well, I know it's a pay service so only kids with credit cards could access it anyway, which I don't think will be too likely. Yeah, they're better off just firing up the computer when mom and dad aren't around haha. Now that I think about it a bit more, the website that posted the article probably just wanted attention with a "PORN ON THE NEW XBOX!!" article, when in fact you read into it farther and every console can do it now anyway, and no one seems to be concerned one way or the other about it.
 
hey, the internet is for porn. haha I remember this being a little bit of a thing back when the wii was just released with the browser channel but no one really cared about it then either. That being said I'd be really surprised to see a vivid entertainment app being advertised on the next gen dashboard hahaha

Well, everything that you can access through an internet browser is available on Xbox 360 now with the Internet Explorer App.

Yeah, I realized way after I posted that that was probably the case. I haven't ever messed with the browser on there. In fact, I totally forgot it was on there. Does it support Flash? I'm curious how they serve video to it.
 
I really don't like this if it is true. I wouldn't want the younger, innocent kids to accidentally (or even intentionally) be able to watch porn. I doubt if Microsoft is on board with this. Maybe they'll move to block it.
 
Well, whenever I sit at my 360, I always think to myself "You know what this game console is missing? The ability to stream adult content!"

I'm not sure why they thought this was a necessary feature, but I'm sure some (everyone without admitting it) will use it.
As mentioned, the addition of Internet Explorer gives access to all this stuff anyway, so what difference does it make?
 
I don't really care either way, but parents are definitely not going to be happy about that... If they even know about it in the first place. Chances are kids won't mention it or won't even know about it till later, and then it's too late. Still, I'm sure there are going to be complaints coming through after release.
