A lot of people have told me that Jaspers are more reliable so I am opting to have mine.

My biggest concern is, is it illegal? I don't want to be banned on Xbox Live.

"Jasper" is just one of the many 360 motherboards revisions (the first and oldest one is "Xenon"). The Jasper motherboard is the most reliable one for Phats, since it's also the last motherboard revision they made for Phats. Now, the Slim's motherboards are "Trinity" and "Corona". The Trinity motherboard is the first revision for Slims, so it's the oldest for Slims, and the Corona is the second and latest revision for Slims. Corona is also the only motherboard currently in production, apparently.

So yeah, there's nothing illegal about Jaspers. Jaspers are basically just the latest version of the Phat 360s, as I've explained above, so nothing wrong with them!

Thank you very much for confirming that and the great information you provided.

I thought Jasper were some illegal modification as some of my friends told me. I guess they do not know what they are talking about.

The only reason that Jasper are considered illegal right now is that they are the best ones to hack and run burned copies of games. When people try to get a Jasper nowadays, most likely they will try to hack it.

Oh I see. So Jaspers have stop production, and you said they are the best ones to hack and my friends said it was illegal. Thats why a lot were looking on to buy Jaspers. They want to modify. Now I really got the point why.

I saw one Jasper sold online for 600 bucks. Thats way too high for the price right now. And now I know why they are so on to it.

I feel that you are talking about modded xbox's. Jtag's are not illegal, but they are against the code of conduct. You will be banned. And modding is not suggested.
