Bioshock Infinite Achievement Guide
Introduction
Bioshock Infinite is the third title in the amazing Bioshock franchise. The Bioshock Infinite story starts a few decades before the original Bioshock timeline in 1912 in a floating city also known as Columbia. You will play your game as Booker Dewitt: an honorable man with lots of debts behind his back. Characters, landscapes and game principles have nothing in common with the dark corridors of underwater city shown in Bioshock 1 and 2 but the bright weather and smiling faces is not exactly what you are going to enjoy. The whole city is about to vanish in revolutionary spirits and you, being a loner, will be forced to find yourself between the devil and the blue. Though, this journey will become unforgettable for you: unique machines, floating buildings and strange technological ideas won’t make you feel careless even for a little moment. Also, you won’t be alone in your journey and amazingly beautiful and honest young girl Elizabeth will join you to guide through the City of broken dreams and lies.
In general unlocking the whole set of 50 achievements won’t be a hard thing to do. On the complexity level I won’t give them more than 4 points out of 10. Though, there are a few achievements (as always) that will require you to be very and very attentive and very and very persistent. For instance, unlocking “1999” achievement will make you hair grey and you will swear like a dock worker until things become complete. Luckily, all 50 achievements can be unlocked offline and you do not have to search for any companions in order to finish the game with 1000G points. The game is really interesting to play and it might take you from 16 and up to 30 hours to get things done. But if I were you, I would spend as many time as possible on Bioshock Infinite because its plot (well, especially the plot) is worth every minute spent with.
The greater part of the achievements mentioned will come to you rather naturally but there are a few that can be easily missed. For example:
- Hazard Pay (you will have to kill 10 enemies utilizing environmental hazards);
- Heartbreaker (you will have to kill a Handyman by only shooting his heart);
- Infused with Greatness (you will have to collect every Infusion upgrade in a single playthrough);
- Scavenger Hunt (you will have to complete the game in 1999 mode without purchasing anything from a Dollar Bill vending machine).
On the top of that, the difficulty you play on will affect some of the achievements. For example, achievements like “Tin Soldier”, “Saw the Elephant”, “Stone Cold Pinkerton”, “Stone Cold Pinkerton” and “Auld Lang Syne” directly depend on the difficulty you play.
Well, below are the achievements for Bioshock Infinite, along with the number of achievement points you’ll receive and a summary on how to get each achievement.

Tin Soldier (10)
Completed the game on Easy difficulty or above.
If you are not familiar with FPS (First Person Shooters) but still want to play Bioshock Infinite, it is highly recommended to choose this difficulty. Enemies won’t harm you seriously and dying in the game will be quite a challenge.

Saw the Elephant (25)
Completed the game on Normal difficulty or above.
Playing on Normal adds some challenge to the game process but still seems to be relatively easy. Enemies will be harder to kill and won’t expose themselves easily to your bullets. It is recommended to complete this game on Normal difficulty if you know what FPS (First Person Shooters) are but you do not play them much and have a lack of shooting practice.

Stone Cold Pinkerton (50)
Completed the game on Hard difficulty or above.
Playing this game on Hard difficulty will be challenging so get used to the word “Restart” because you will see it a lot. Enemies will be pretty hard to kill and getting different items, including ammo and gear, won’t be that easy. Though, if you attempt to complete this game on Hard difficulty, after the very last mission you are supposed to get all three achievements connected with the difficulty played including the previously mentioned “Tin Soldier,” “Saw the Elephant” and, of course, “Stone Cold Pinkerton.”

Auld Lang Syne (75)
Completed the game on 1999 mode.
If completing Bioshock on Hard difficulty is not challenging enough for you, then there is something special waiting for you. Completing the game on 1999 mode is almost impossible because it will require you to be very patient and very careful. 1999 mode has its own rules and if you think you can break them – think again.
In order to enter the 1999 mode, you will have to enter the good old Konami code. So, when in the main menu, enter the following code in the exact order:
On the D-pad press Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right “B” and “A”.
This will unlock the “Should Auld Acquaintance...” and will make the 1999 mode available from the menu to be picked. Of course, you can start playing it the very same moment you unlock it but it is recommended to complete the game on either Normal or Hard difficulty first. This will help you to get a better feeling of the game itself and unexpected enemies running out from behind the corner won’t be that unexpected in your second playthrough.
Now, before you enter playing the 1999 mode, here are a few vital tips you need to keep in your mind.
1. Dying in 1999 mode isn’t cheap. If you get killed, you will have to pay from 75 and up to 100 silver coins to restart from the checkpoint. No coins – no respawns. But, the good news that you won’t be sent to the very beginning of the game: just to the very beginning of the section you were currently on. This saves the situation a bit but not as you would expect.
2. Unlike any other difficulty mode, even if you dealt 90% of damage to the Boss enemy but still died, it will respawn with the full health and you will be forced to start killing him all over again.
3. In 1999 Mode you won’t have any Aim assistance. While I enjoy playing without it anyway, some gamers might find it very disturbing.
4. Tougher enemies will become even tougher with more health and a lot better accuracy.
5. I know it sounds obvious, but you won’t be able to change your difficulty while playing in 1999 mode.
6. You will have some serious problems managing you resources, so make sure you play carefully and do not waste your ammo or vigors here and there.
7. You will take 200% of the regular damages and at the same time will deal only 50% of your own damage to the enemies.
8. Shield recharge delay will be 6 seconds and its rate will last for 4 seconds.
But that is not all. While playing in 1999 Mode, it is recommended to go for another achievement also known as “Scavenger Hunt.” Your task here is to complete the game in 1999 mode but without spending a single coin on the Dollar Bill vending machine. While it does sound like and easy task, you will very likely approach those machines automatically. Also, you need to realize that without those machines you won’t be able to purchase ammo or other goodies, so saving bullets for better occasions is advised. If it’s possible to melee kill enemies – do that without any doubt. To save the situation a bit you should definitely loot any possible container for ammo and other goodies. This is the only way to survive longer in Bioshock Infinite.
It might be a good idea to use your sniper rifle and take down enemies from the distance. This should help you to avoid any direct contact with the foes and will keep you safe from their melee attacks. Though, their shots from machine guns might get dangerous as well, even when being shot from the distance. As for the gear, here’s what I would recommend to ease your pain. By the way – you can change it from the pause menu.
Head: Ammo capacity, Storm or Quick Handed.
Shorts: Pyro, Blood to Salt or Scavenger Vest.
Pants: Last man Standing or Urgent Care.
Boots: Kill to Live or Vampire's Embrace.
Also, try to find as many Infusions Bottles as possible. This will help you to survive a lot longer (after proper investment, of course).
In general, your fighting strategy should be as careful as possible. Don’t risk where there is no need to and do not do stupid things. Move carefully, clear every location by killing enemies from the distance, use any possible environmental hazards to help you out, drop enemies from the edges, use melee attacks to save ammo and remember not to waste bullets cause this can turn out to be a disaster. In everything else – you are free to create your own fighting strategies and act the way you feel comfortable.
Though, I would like to share some strategies on fighting some bosses. This won’t totally solve the problem but will definitely make it as easy as possible and that means a lot in 1999 Mode.
Fighting Handyman
Handymen are giant human-robotic enemies with big arms and big hearts. The weakest part of every Handyman is its heart, so it is highly recommended to concentrate your precise shooting on the beating power. But to make your shooting even more effective, here’s a gear recommended in fighting with those giants:
Gear
Hat: either Sheltered Life, that will make you immune for any kind of damage when you restore your health with food or health packs, or Hill Runner’s Hat that increase movement speed when the shied is down.
Jacket: Shock Jacket gives you a 50% chance to shock for 2 seconds when stuck.
Pants: Head Master increased critical hit damage by 50%;
Boots: Handyman Nemesis increased Handyman damage by 50% and, of course, when fighting Handyman this is more than just useful.
Weapon:
While in most cases I would recommend to use a sniper rifle (and, of course, you still can), a Shotgun works great as well. But you do understand that using a shotgun means that you will have to fight in close combat with the Handyman. It might get tricky but if you attack during the Murder of Crows effect, you shouldn’t have any problems. Just remember to dodge and move around as often as possible.
Vigors:
In most cases I used Murder of Crows. It keeps the Handyman occupied for a few seconds and makes him very vulnerable at this point exposing his heart for your precise shooting. In combination with the Handyman Nemesis Boots you will take down the foe pretty quick.
Strategy:
When you see a Handyman (or he spots you), use the Murder of Crows vigor on him. This will make the enemy to pause for a couple of seconds distracted by the crows. Well, it is a perfect moment to strike, so come as close as possible and shoot twice in Handyman’s heart. Get back a little and then send another flock of crows on him and shoot two more rounds in his heart. Evade and use this pause to reload your shotgun. Repeat the procedure mentioned as many times as necessary until the Handyman falls down dead. If during the battler the Handyman reaches you after all and hits you with his melee attack, a perfect combination of Shock Jacket and Hill Runner’s Hat should save the situation.
Fighting Lady Comstock
Gear:
Hat: either Sheltered Life, that will make you immune for any kind of damage when you restore your health with food or health packs, or Hill Runner’s Hat that increase movement speed when the shied is down.
Jacket: Shock Jacket gives you a 50% chance to shock for 2 seconds when stuck.
Pants: Angry Stompers allow you to deal 2x damage when you get really low on health and trust me – that is going to happen pretty often.
Boots: Tunnel Vision increases your aiming by 20% and hip firing decreases damage by 20%.
Weapons:
Depending on your strategy and location, you will have to fight the enemy either from the distance or in close combat. So, it is recommended to use both a Shotgun and a Sniper Rifle.
Vigor:
Shock Jockey projects electrical charges and will stun the enemy opening a window for a strike.
Strategy:
At the very beginning of the battle Lady Comstock won’t be such a dangerous enemy as the resurrected dead will be. So, it is recommended to leave the woman for desert and concentrate your attention on the weaker enemies. Your next fighting strategy is rather simple but happens to be effective and this is exactly what we need. Use your Shock Jockey on resurrected dead and when under the effect, shoot them with your Sniper Rifle (aiming for the head, of course). The trick is that if you kill the resurrected dead while they are under the influence of the Shock Jockey vigor, Lady Comstock won’t be able to resurrect them again. If you see Lady Comstock getting really close to you, take out your gun and shoot her for a couple of times. This will make her to retreat. Once you’re done killing the resurrected dead, Lady Comstock will start following you around and will use an area of effect attack. Try to avoid this attack as strong as possible and when you have a good window – shoot the lady. Repeat this strategy until the woman is dead.
Completing the Final Scene
Songbird is a 30-foot winged creature, very powerful and very scary. Fighting it won’t be easy. So, here’s what you might need to make things easier and win the final fight with honor.
Gear:
Of course, it might be anything you find through the natural progression but the items mentioned below have actually made everything a lot easier.
Hat: Sheltered Life Hat allows you to stay invulnerable when gaining health from snacks and health kits. There is nothing more useful than that.
Shirt: Pyromaniac gives you a 50% chance to burn nearby enemies. At the same time your enemies take 400% damage over three seconds which is totally insane.
Pants: Urgent Care increases shield recharge rate by 2x and also decreases shield recharge delay by 1 second. In the final battled every single second is vitally important.
Boots: Overkill gives you the following abilities: if you kill someone with excessive damage, it will stun the nearby enemies giving you a lot better opportunity to strike again take a lot less risk for their counterattack.
Weapons:
Well, it’s all up to you as long as it deals heavy damage to your enemies.
Vigors:
Again – this is all up to you but I’ve found Murder of Crows and Possession the most effective vigors in the last fight.
You might be surprised, but Murder of Crows was not upgraded even once but still worked great in setting traps and weakening enemies in large packs. Of course, you can invest money in making it better but if you do not have any or simply want to spend them on something else – don’t worry, Murder of Crows will still work great.
Now, as for Possession – it was upgraded with Possession Aid. This upgrade allows you to use your vigor on both robots and humans. Considering the fact that you will be dealing with both, this makes some decent sense and will not only help you to feel yourself comfortable during the fight, but will also help you to get the whole group of enemies to fight on your side.

Should Auld Acquaintance... (10)
Unlocked 1999 mode.
In order to unlock 1999 you will have to get back in time and in the Main Menu type the good old Konami combination. Shortly after the code is entered, you will get a prompt saying that you cheat code has been accepted and now you can show how great your gaming skills are. So, here’s the code itself (remember to press the buttons in the exact same order mentioned below):
On the D-pad press: Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right “B” and “A”.

Industrial Accident (5)
Killed 20 enemies with a Sky Hook Execution.
It is very unlikely for you to miss this achievement unless you kill enemies instantly and from long distances. Almost at the very beginning of your sky journey you are going to obtain a Sky Hook. Being used as a tool, Sky Hook helps you to travel the sky rails and get from one part of the floating city to the other pretty fast. But, when on the ground, it can also be used as a melee weapon and, I have to say, pretty good and reliable melee weapon.
But, before you start swinging with your Sky Hook as with your sword, you need to remember one thing: in order to unlock this achievement you are not supposed to melee kill your enemies – this won’t count as an execution. What you really have to do is to drag your enemy’s health to the lowest possible point. When your opponent will be one or two hits away from dying, a Skull Icon should appear notifying you about the possibility to execute him/her with your Sky Hook. In order to perform the execution move itself, you will have to press and hold the “Y” button. Hold it until the execution animation begins and comes to the end (trust me – it looks awesome). By all means, dealing with heavily-armored enemies will take more time and it is recommended to combine both fire weapons and melee attacks to get things done faster.
Unlocking “Industrial Accident” achievement can be completed through your natural progression but if you want to have it faster, you can use the good-old kill and reload method. Start playing the game from a checkpoint, find a few bad guys (the easier they are to kill – the faster you are going to unlock this achievement) and execute them with your Sky Hook. When you’re done – simply reload from the checkpoint and repeat what you’ve done before the required number of times. Yes, all your executions are summed up and if you performed (for example) 3 executions on your first load, when you start playing from that checkpoint once again, you will get the 4th, 5th and 6th executions correspondingly. It is highly recommended to go for this achievement as soon as possible when your enemies are still easy to kill. By the way: I managed to unlock it right after I saved Elizabeth through my natural progression and there was no need in save/load tricks.

Aerial Assassin (5)
Killed 20 enemies with a Sky-Line Strike.
It appears that Sky Lines can be used not only for getting from one part of the city to the other quickly but also for killing weaker enemies if they happen to be walking nearby. When on the Sky Line, just keep traveling from one place to the other until you see an enemy in front of you. Wait for Booker Dewitt to slide closer to him and when he appears to be really close – press the “A” button for a Sky-Line Strike. This action will likely kill any weaker enemy instantly. Though, you might wanna be careful with the heavier fellows. Perform this kind of action 19 more times (20 in total) and collect your 5G points. By the way, if you do not want to walk around and search for the bad guys standing on the right spots, here’s what can be done:
- Load the Chapter that goes under the name “Comstock Center Rooftops” (it happens to be near the very first magnetic hook section);
- Make your way to the location you are supposed to go;
- After you jump to the last hook – look on the ground and you should see an enemy right below the Sky-Lines;
- This a perfect opportunity to go for the achievement mentioned;
- Aim for the bad guy and when you find yourself close enough to him – press the “A” button to perform a Sky-Line Strike;
- When done – reload the game from a checkpoint and repeat everything described above;
- After you do that for at least 20 times – you will get the pop up message.

A Real Pistol (5)
Killed 25 enemies with the Broadsider Pistol.
Unlocking this achievement should not be a complicated thing and you are very likely to get it through the natural progression. All you have to do is to kill enemies with the Broadsider Pistol. You can use any other possible weapon or fighting strategy beforehand but the last breath should be taken with a Pistol Bullet. If you have any difficulties killing enemies or locating a Broadsider Pistol, use either Murder of Crows or Shock Jockey vigor before shooting the target (or targets). Also, to make the killings easier, you can upgrade your gun. Broadsider Pistol’s maximum upgrade will cost you $1077.
Of you are not interested in walking around and unlocking this achievement the natural way, you can leave it all behind and try to complete things the other way round. Start from the checkpoint with pretty enough enemies to kill. Eliminate them with your Broadsider Pistol and when done – reload the checkpoint to repeat the killing scheme.

Passionately Reciprocated (5)
Killed 150 enemies with the Founder Triple R Machine Gun or Vox Repeater.
Through your natural progression you are very likely to use the Triple R or the Vox Repeater more than just often. These are great weapons that can take down enemies fast and effectively. By the way: if you want this achievement to become yours, you will have to pick one of the weapons mentioned. If I am not mistaken – it is not possible to unlock “Passionately Reciprocated” using both to kill 150 enemies. Well, at least it didn’t work for me. The best and the fastest way to complete the achievement mentioned is to combine both Vigor attacks and the Triple R or the Vox Repeater shooting. If you want to make your guns even more effective – do not forget to upgrade one of them (or both) to the possible maximum. Well, upgrading the Triple R Machine Gun will cost you $1375 while upgrading the Vox Repeater will take $1992 from your pocket.
Of course, you can use the save/reload checkpoint method in order to unlock this achievement but I am not sure that this is the way to go. First of all – killing 150 enemies is not killing 20 fellows. Also, you are very likely to unlock it through your natural progression. Though, there is one more method that will save the situation and will help to unlock the achievement. Just progress through the game until you reach the Memorial Gardens Chapter. In this area you are going to meet a Ghost boss that is not only hard to kill but also uses his powers to spawn enemies. Well, this is one of those times when spawning enemies can be used to your advantage. When the battle starts, concentrate on killing enemies with either your Triple R Machine Gun or Vox Repeater. At the same time – leave the Ghost Boss alone. Well, you can use suppressing fire to make things a bit more comfortable and less dangerous but still – do not kill the Ghost Boss! No, I’m serious – just don’t. Because the very same second you will kill the boss, he will stop spawning enemies. Plus, there is a certain limitation for every battle with the boss after all. Each time he will spawn around 50 enemies and when you kill them all – you will be able to progress further on. Oh, I’ve totally forgot to mention that there will be 3 fights with the Ghost Boss and each fight will spawn about 50 enemies making it 150 bad guys in total. So, as long as you keep the main guy alive and keep on using one of the weapons mentioned – you will very likely unlock this achievement by the end of your third fight. You can also use checkpoints to repeat the fights if necessary. One of the main reasons why I am offering this solution is that unlocking “Passionately Reciprocated” here will give you an opportunity to concentrate on unlocking other weapon related achievements through the game leaving more space for completing the whole list in one playthrough and as fast as possible.

Street Sweeper (5)
Killed 50 enemies with the Founder China Broom Shotgun or Vox Heater.
In order to unlock this achievement, you will have to use one of your Shotgun equivalents be it the Founder China Broom or the Vox Heater. Both shotguns can be improved with a certain number of upgrades. The whole set of upgrades for the Founder China Broom will cost you $1326 while the Vox Heater will force you to spend $2327 in total. Being a powerful weapon, killing 50 enemies with both shotguns won’t be a problem at all. Just on the contrary – they will make your way through almost any situation a lot easier. Also, when combined with Vigor attacks and other fighting strategy and tactics, you will very likely unlock “Street Sweeper” sooner than expected. By all means, it is recommended to use both shotguns at close range distances, especially when you make your way through the corridors or narrow passage and where enemies are likely to attack you rather from the close range than from the distance.

Big Game Hunter (5)
Killed 100 enemies with the Founder Huntsman Carbine or Vox Burstgun.
In order to unlock this achievement you will have to shoot 100 enemies with either the Founder Huntsman Carbine or Vox Burstgun. Both guns can be easily identified as M1A carbine equivalents due to the specifics of their working principles. Of course, as any other weapon, both guns can be improved with a few upgrades. But if you want to upgrade Founder Huntsman Carbine to the possible maximum, you will have to spend $1531 while upgrading the Vox Burstgun will cost you no less than $2340. As far as the specifics of this weapon identifies it as a range weapon, it is recommended to use it appropriately, shooting from middle range distances and higher.

Loose Cannon (5)
Killed 25 enemies with the Paddywhacker Hand Cannon.
In order to unlock this achievement you will have to kill 25 enemies using Paddywhacker Hand Cannon. Paddywhacker Hand Cannon is also very often identified as the magnum pistol equivalent and has an amazing ability to kill enemies with style. You can upgrade it with some bonus features to the very maximum if you invest $1902 in the canon mentioned. The best way to use it is against weaker enemies: they won’t be able to stand the power of the gun and will die almost instantly. This achievement can be unlocked through your natural progression. However, there are a few methods that will make your task easier and will open an opportunity to unlock it faster.
For that matter you will need a few things and one of them, of course, is the Paddywhacker Hand Cannon. I am pretty sure that you will get it while exploring the world around but I am a good person and would like to share with you the precise location of the gun mentioned. Just before entering Plaza of Zeal, you will see a guy standing nearby. Talk to the guy and after a short conversation make sure you look on the table that should be right in front of him. On that very table you will find the Hand Cannon. This weapon can hold up to 6 cartridges in one round and Booker can carry with him at least 24 extra bullets. Of course, if you invest a few bucks in some upgrades, Booker will get an opportunity to carry even more ammo with him. When in the battle, it is recommended to combine using Paddywhacker Hand Cannon with the Shock Jokey vigor. This ability will stun the enemies and with the help of Hand Cannon you will have an opportunity to perform a few headshots.
Another great place to complete this achievement is the level where you will open the Tear to the alternative Columbia and by saying “tear” I mean the Quest. If you made it to the tear and entered it to start the quest, you will appear in the room. This is the very same room where you’ll find dead Chin. From here make your way upstairs to the prison. When out there, in one of the cells (the very first one to the left) there will be a Paddywhacker Hand Cannon with 27 bullets at your disposal. When you pick up all the ammunition, make your way back through the projector room. Once you get on the stage (and this is important) you will be ambushed by about 6 or 7 enemies. Deal with them using your newly obtained Paddywhacker Hand Cannon. It will take no more than two shots to take down an enemy or just one shot if you aim for the head. When you kill them all, talk to Elizabeth and from here you can either move to the next location or press the “Menu” button and restart from the checkpoint. First of all – it will help you to unlock the achievement faster, secondly – you won’t run out of ammo and thirdly – you will be aware of the ambush and those fellows won’t scare you at all. Plus, it should take from 4 to 5 playthrough to complete the task which shouldn’t take more than a few minutes. As a pleasant bonus, on your way back to the stage, you can enter the room with lots of carbines in it and, certainly, go for another achievement also known as “Big Game Hunter”.

On a Clear Day... (5)
Killed 30 enemies with the Bird's Eye Sniper Rifle.
Bird's Eye Sniper Rifle is definitely a long range weapon and should be used to take down enemies from the distance. Well, as long as you are not supposed to kill the bad fellows with the headshots, you can pretty much unlock it by simply shooting in any part of the body as long as it kills the guy. Though, aiming for the head will make a lot more sense being a powerful and amazingly effective way to send someone to the dead. Bird's Eye Sniper Rifle can be acquired from Elizabeth when you both reach the Hall of Heroes plaza. With the rifle mentioned you will be shooting back at the enemy snipers. The very same moment you take down 30 targets – you will get the pop up message saying that you’ve unlocked the achievement. Also, to make the Bird's Eye Sniper Rifle even more effective, you should spend a few bucks and upgrade it to the possible maximum. In order to do that you will have to spend $1640.
As well as with any other weapon, you can use checkpoint and save/load method to rush the achievement and get it as fast as possible. Probably, the very same location where you acquire the rifle will be a perfect place for taking down targets and unlocking “On a Clear Day...” achievement. Though, it is not obligatory. On the top of that while going for this achievement, you can attempt to unlock the other one known as “Bolt From the Blue.” It requires you to kill 5 enemies with a headshot while riding a Sky Line. It might get tricky when using a scope but if you aim for the head on some steady and straight parts of the Sky Line, you are very likely to get things done properly.

Here Little Piggy (5)
Killed 30 enemies with the Founder Pig Volley Gun or Vox Hail Fire.
In order to unlock this achievement you will have to kill at least 30 enemies with either Pig volley or Hail Fire. Both weapons can also be treated as fair 1912 year equivalents for M75 grenade launcher. Considering the weapons specifics, I am pretty sure that you are not likely to have any problems completing this achievement fast and effectively. Both Founder Pig Volley Gun and Vox Hail Fire work effectively in combination with different abilities and on the top of that you can upgrade your guns to the possible maximum and make them even more powerful than they are right now. For that matter you will need $2320 to upgrade Founder Pig Volley Gun and $2190 to improve the Vox Hail Fire.
While this achievement can be unlocked through your natural progression, you can rush for the achievement and unlock it in the “Good Time Club” area in Fink Industries. After you kill your very first Handyman, you will be able to enter the location mentioned. Now, to the very left from the stage you are going to find a Tear with the Founder Pig Volley Gun. Almost the very same moment you pick up the gun, watch for the curtain on the stage. They will rise revealing 6 fellows that will start approaching you instantly. Well, use your gun to take them down and after these 6 guys are dead – restart from the checkpoint and do the very same thing again. It should take no more than 5 restarts to hit the 30 kill mark.

Master of Pyrotechnics (5)
Killed 20 enemies with the Barnstormer RPG.
In order to unlock this achievement you are supposed to kill 20 enemies with the Barnstormer RPG. The Barnstormer RPG is a 1912 mechanical equivalent for a real rocket launcher. Taking down enemies with this monster won’t be a problem at all. However, you might wanna upgrade the Barnstormer RPG to make it even more powerful. For that matter you’ll need $1919. Using this weapon against weaker enemies will make you closer to the targeted achievement because with this power a single shot will kill them instantly. By the way – if it’s possible, try shooting at the group of enemies. Considering the power – shooting in the middle of the group is very likely to take down at least 3 weaker enemies. The only issue you might have is the ammo as far as you won’t be able to carry more than a few rockets with you.
For that matter you might be interested in unlocking this achievement using the save/load method but first of all – you will have to find the Barnstormer RPG itself. A perfect place from completing the achievement happens to be in the Good Time Club. Get inside and make your way upstairs through the door. When inside the room, you are very likely to find the required RPG to your left. After you pick it up, a few enemies should appear from behind the curtain. Take them down using your newly obtained “instant killer.” After you’re done – go to the “Main Menu” and restart the game from your last checkpoint. This will help to unlock the achievement almost instantly. By the way – killing machines will also count as killing enemies and will be added to the total number of kills performed by the Barnstormer RPG.

Seasoned to Taste (5)
Killed 30 enemies with the Peppermill Crank Gun.
The Peppermill Crank Gun is nor a regular weapon and is dropped by the Motorized Patriot also known as the Mechanical George Washington. The Peppermill Crank Gun can also be treated as a 1912 alternative for the Gatling Gun. Though, you can carry it with you meaning that the powers of thousands bullets will always guide and secure you through any possible troubles. So, to unlock this achievement you will have to kill at least 30 enemies. This shouldn’t be a problem, especially if you plan to use both firearms and abilities in your fights. In good traditions of Bioshock Infinite, you are going to run into a big enough group of enemies almost the very same moment you obtain your very first Peppermill Crank Gun. By all means take care of this group and, if you feel like completing this achievement as soon as possible, use the save/load method to run into the same group of enemies again and deal with them for a few times. If you want to get back in time and complete the achievement, the best place to do that is either in Chapter 8 (Hall of Heroes Gift Shop) or Chapter where you are supposed to fight the First Siren. When playing Chapter 8, you won’t be forced to kill your first Motorized Patriot and on the spot where it was supposed to appear, you will simply find the gun itself. Now, progress through the game and fight the approaching enemies. As for the Chapter with your first Siren, a tear for a crank gun will be on the elevated section of the back wall. After you pick up the gun – rush into the fight and deal with the upcoming enemies. You can reload this part of the game from the checkpoint if you find it convenient and comfortable to play.

Well Rounded (10)
Used all 8 Vigors against enemies.
While the action and shooting part in Bioshock Infinite is simply amazing, Bioshock wouldn’t be a Bioshock in its actual meaning without the special abilities also known in this game as Vigors. All in all there are 8 Vigors at your disposal and you are very likely to find and obtain them through your natural progression. On the top of that, some of the Vigors are story related and can’t be missed while others can be unlocked or purchased via “Veni! Vidi! Vigor!” machines. I, personally, unlocked the whole 8 without even trying and through my natural playthrough. Here's the list of all 8 vigors available in the game. For a lot more detailed information, please check "Bioshock Infinite: The List of Bioshock Vigors ("Well Rounded" Achievement)" post.
- Possession
- Devil’s Kiss
- Murder of Crows
- Bucking Bronco
- Shock Jockey
- Charge
- Undertow
- Return to Sender

Vigorous Opposition (50)
Killed 75 enemies either with a Vigor or while the enemy is under the effects of a Vigor.
As you already know, there are 8 different Vigors at your disposal. You can use either one of them, a few of them or as many as you can simultaneously to unlock this achievement. Your task is to kill 75 enemies while using a Vigor. It should come to you through your natural progression. Probably, the biggest advice here is to use your Vigors in those locations and conditions when they suit the most. Also, the good news is that your enemies do not actually have to be killed with the Vigor (but that also counts) but can also be under its influence. For example, one of the most effective ways to get things done is to use Shock Jockey or Murder of Crows. Both vigors will keep the bad guys occupied (one will stun then and other will make them wave their hands while fighting with the crows) and until their effect fades out – use your fire weapon, melee weapon or even vigors to your liking and kill those fellows. The very same moment you reach 75 kills – you will get the pop up message saying that you’ve unlocked the achievement.

More for Your Money (25)
Lured 3 enemies into a single Vigor trap 5 times.
As a matter of fact, it happens to be a lot easier than you expect. Your task is to lure 3 enemies into a single trap and then repeat this strategy for 4 more times making it 5 in total. Though, these should not be the very same 3 enemies lured into the very same trap 5 times in a row. But, if you manage to do that – be my guest and show your best.
Now, in order to set a trap, you should press the “LT” button and hold it until a trap icon appears. After that choose a spot where to place the trap and release the “LT” button. Some of the most suitable vigors for this matter are Murder of Crows and Devil's kiss. Probably, Murder of Crows is even the best. But no matter how great the vigor, you will still have to find at least 3 enemies to complete this achievement. When you find yourself in a suitable location with 3 enemies moving in a group, set the trap in their way and either hide to avoid being shot or step back from the trap a bit. When your foes run into the trap, it will count as +1 towards your achievement. Well, here you can either restart from the checkpoint and repeat the very same action at least 4 times or progress through the game and just keep on setting traps luring enemy trios into them. When you’re done, the pop up message will appear on your monitor notifying you about the successfully unlocked achievement.
To make thing a bit easier, you can use Undertow to push enemies into your traps. Also, you should try to set two traps in one place so that both traps are activated simultaneously by your enemies. It should count as +2 towards your achievement which is kind of nice. Another interesting idea on unlocking this achievement is to use Murder of Crows trap with the “Storm” hat from your gear.
As for locations, really, there is a plenty of those all over the floating Columbia. If you want to unlock this early in the game, do that in the Hall of Hero’s. There will be a door with 3 enemies hiding behind it. Set your Murder of Crows Vigor trap right in front of the doors and lure the bad guys into it. When done, restart form the checkpoint and repeat your strategy.
Here’s another location and another Vigor that can be used to set a trap and move towards the achievement. For that matter you will need to load “The Atrium” Chapter. Set the trap right in front of your starting point. Bucking Bronco worked great for me here but it can be anything as long as it can set decent traps. After you’re done, run directly in the middle of the room and wait for the alarm to go off. When it does, at least 3 enemies will start chasing you. When you see them running after you, run back to the hall and let them step into your trap. Well, restart from the checkpoint and repeat it 4 more times.
This, probably, is the easiest way to unlock the “More for Your Money” achievement as far as enemies will lure themselves into the trap. For that matter load the mission with the “Good Time Club” in Fink Industries (you are supposed to enter this location right after you finish your very first Handyman). Set a trap in the middle of the stage right in front of the curtains (which trap – it’s all up to you but Murder of Crows worked great for me) and step back or side behind something. When the curtain rises up and at least 6 enemies get on the stage, they will get into the trap and will make you closer to the desired achievement. Wait for its effect to end and reload this mission from the checkpoint to repeat your strategy. This place can also be used for unlocking lots of other achievements especially those connected with the Volley Gun and RPG as far as there are tears with both guns inside. Though, any achievement that is somehow connected with killing enemies can be unlocked here.

Combination Shock (50)
Performed all 8 of the Vigor combinations.
Unlocking this achievement is rather simple. The only thing you need to keep in mind is that you will have to have all the 8 Vigors in your hands. You are not supposed to have them all at the same time but completing “Combination Shock” will be available only after completing “Well Rounded” achievement which requires you to gather the whole set of 8 Vigors. As for the achievement itself, here are just a few simple rules that should make things a lot easier:
- make sure you switch between Vigors fast;
- you need to strike enemy with the second Vigor before he dies (otherwise – it won’t count);
- make sure that the next vigor you switch to is the exact vigor you want to use.
The good thing is that if you are doing it right, the achievement tracker will pop out every time you kill your enemy the way you should. And now – the list of Vigor combinations:
1. Possession and Shock Jockey;
2. Possession and Devil's Kiss;
3. Devil's Kiss and Charge;
4. Murder of Crows and Devil's Kiss;
5. Murder of Crows and Shock Jockey;
6. Bucking Bronco and Devil's Kiss;
7. Bucking Bronco and Charge;
8. Undertow and Shock Jockey.
In order to equip other Vigors, you should press and hold the “LB” button. If you want to see Vigor Combinations in action, please, check out the video below.

- Hazard Pay (you will have to kill 10 enemies utilizing environmental hazards);
- Heartbreaker (you will have to kill a Handyman by only shooting his heart);
- Infused with Greatness (you will have to collect every Infusion upgrade in a single playthrough);

Pants: Head Master increased critical hit damage by 50%;
Boots: Handyman Nemesis increased Handyman damage by 50% and, of course, when fighting Handyman this is more than just useful.

- Load the Chapter that goes under the name “Comstock Center Rooftops” (it happens to be near the very first magnetic hook section);
- Make your way to the location you are supposed to go;
- After you jump to the last hook – look on the ground and you should see an enemy right below the Sky-Lines;
- This a perfect opportunity to go for the achievement mentioned;
- Aim for the bad guy and when you find yourself close enough to him – press the “A” button to perform a Sky-Line Strike;
- When done – reload the game from a checkpoint and repeat everything described above;

- make sure you switch between Vigors fast;
- you need to strike enemy with the second Vigor before he dies (otherwise – it won’t count);
- make sure that the next vigor you switch to is the exact vigor you want to use.
The good thing is that if you are doing it right, the achievement tracker will pop out every time you kill your enemy the way you should. And now – the list of Vigor combinations:
1. Possession and Shock Jockey;
2. Possession and Devil's Kiss;
3. Devil's Kiss and Charge;
4. Murder of Crows and Devil's Kiss;
5. Murder of Crows and Shock Jockey;
6. Bucking Bronco and Devil's Kiss;
7. Bucking Bronco and Charge;
8. Undertow and Shock Jockey.
In order to equip other Vigors, you should press and hold the “LB” button. If you want to see Vigor Combinations in action, please, check out the video below.
