Clan membership

Are you a member of an Xbox Live Clan? If so, do you know the other members personally, or are they just other Xbox Live players that you've never actually met before? Personally, I don't do a lot of online gaming, so I'm not a member of a Clan, but my husband, his brother, their two nephews and some mutual friends all had a Clan together for a while before disbanding it.

I am not in a clan, but sometimes get online and play with friends. Did they really like it? Do you play other clans that you don't know?
