Open Fortnite, go to Settings (the gear icon). Go to the Audio tab (looks like a speaker). Make sure these are set: Voice Chat: On Voice Chat Method: Open Mic (unless he prefers push-to-talk) Voice Channel: Party or Game — try switching this if it’s not working Then restart the game to be safe
