create your own themes?

I've read a lot of comments on various websites and message boards complaining about Xbox themes. Has anyone created their own custom themes? Was it fairly easy to do?

I know you can upload a personalized picture (my hubby did a graphic on his computer), but I've never considered bothering with the whole background. I found a good resource for those who are interested in doing this, though: Make Your Own Xbox 360 Themes!
