So, I got one of those R4 cartridges for the DS a while back and I've been loving it, or specifically the homebrew apps you can download for you DS and do so many things it's not even funny. It gives you loads of options that Nintendo doesn't offer, like a facebook application for the DS, different media players, painting programs better than the ones Nintendo offers and TONS of drum machines and other music-y software.
My current favorite is SniffBox, it detects wifi networks in your vicinity and using the floating packets it determines the pitch and intensity of the notes a network gives off and turns them all into a melody. It's really fun walking down the street a listening to the tune change as you pass different networks and they become stronger, weaker, fade and intertwine with others.
