Favorite Mario Kart Game?

I know that this may be an unpopular choice, but the most fun I've ever had playing a Mario Kart game was Mario Kart 64. I can still remember spending hours playing the multiplayer with my friends. Besides the racing, the battle arena was pretty fun as well. Nothing better than blasting turtle shells at your friends.
