Gears of War Judgement: How to get 3 Stars in All Missions Solo on Insane Difficulty

Introduction

By all means, playing this game in cooperative mode is a lot more interesting and fun than one could imagine. At the same time, there can be a plenty of reasons why playing in cooperative is not for you. But, no matter the reason, the problem still remains: How to get 3 Stars in All Declassified Walkthrough Solo on Insane Difficulty? Now, it won’t be easy and you can’t expect something like this to be a one day play. That is why we have a text guide for you that will very likely make things flow faster and better. Of course, it doesn’t mean that you should follow every step written: being creative, sometimes, saves the game and turns you into a winner. But in lots of cases being creative will kill you at the first place. So, as long as you follow the basics and do thing that are not described below but they seem to be effective – that’s a good way to go.

Now, as it was mentioned in the previous posts (and I am pretty sure that you’ve noticed it yourself), you won’t be able to play on the Insane difficulty just from the spot. In order to unlock the Insane mode you will be forced to complete the game at least ones. It doesn’t matter what difficulty you are going to play: as long as you start the game and get to the very end – it will work just fine. But, of course, Casual is recommended as far as it is the easiest one.

As you start playing the Gear of War Judgment on Insane Difficulty, make sure you activate every Declassified Mission you come across. If you miss at least one – your attempt won’t be counted as successful. Though, the good news is that you can always replay levels from the beginning and/or checkpoint and if by any chance you miss the mission – get back and complete it again, and again and again until you get 3 Stars in every Mission. If you die during the mission, you will be forced to activate and restart it from the very beginning unless you reached the checkpoint.

The reason you came here is to get 3 Stars in every mission and in every Chapter. Yes, it won’t be easy but with a certain attitude and persistence you will be able to get what you came for. Technically, you get 3 Star Rewards not for completing Declassified Missions but for completing levels in the most effective possible way: executing enemies and killing them with headshots does count towards the achievement. Probably, the most surprising thing is that when you activate the Declassified Mission, you will make a lot more enemies to spawn. At the same time, killing those enemies will raise your chances to get a 3 Star Reward. In other words – the more effort you give – the better your chances are to get the best of it. If you are not sure what missions have been completed or if every mission was completed with 3 Stars, please, select Chapter status from the Main menu.

One of the main reasons why you should play Solo is the amazing opportunity to be protected by the AI teammates. You see, they happen to be better even when compared with the real players. Of course, playing with a friend is great but playing with AI soldiers gives you the next pluses:
-They will always shoot the enemy no matter what;
- They do not know what Hiding means;
- They do not die – they are having rest (as a matter of fact – AI do not die and can be revived which gives you a lot better opportunity to progress through the game with the amazing fire support);
- They can take a lot more damage than you, meaning that from time to time you can use them as the cover. I know, I know – not humane at all but on the other hand – they are not human!
- And the last but not the least: they have the unlimited amount of ammo and no matter the mission requirements, will keep on shooting and proving you with the fire support. This is vitally important in some chapters.

As it was mentioned already, this guide is aimed to give you a general understanding of the game and is rather a recommendation than a requirement. Some basic rules have to be kept while others are pretty flexible and mostly depend on your game style and strategy. There are many ways to complete each mission and still get 3 Stars as a reward. In this guide we will give you the less painful and the most rational way to get things done. In other words – a greater part of the missions you will be hiding in rooms, behind different covers and a greater part of the work will be done by your people. This is not a bad thing and happens to be either a pleasant discovery that makes playing Solo even a bit easier.

From the very first mission you should convince yourself that dying in Gears of War Judgment is more a necessity than a careless behavior (though, the last one is not recommended). You will die and will die a lot. Just deal with it and get used to press the restart button as often as required. However, it doesn’t mean that you should forget about being strategically advanced and simply run on the enemy whenever you think it will work. At the same time you should not count on checkpoint a lot because these won’t happen a lot on your way. Only the most complicated and hard to complete Missions happen to have them but still – not as often as you would like them to.

It does not matter what kind of weapon you are going to choose as long as it works great for you. As always, this tactical advantage totally depends on your strategy preferences and environment you play in. In some cases sniper rifles will be your best friends, in other cases close combat weapons like shotguns will be the only option. One of the best choices, however, happens to be the Chainsaw gun: it has very little recoil, pretty decent firepower and, what is really important, so desired ability to execute enemies. If you have an opportunity to equip you character with this gun or pick it up during the battle – do that with no hesitation because this weapon is a real savior and has answers for most of the questions. Also, do not forget about grenades and other explosives (if any). But, do not just waste those anytime you have an opportunity and rather eliminate the whole group of enemies than throw at someone or something in particular. And the last but not the least – enjoy having fun with the turrets. These are great helpers and will do a great part of the job together with your team. However, do not let them do a lot as far as this might endanger your chances to get a 3 Star reward at the end of every mission.

CHAPTER 1: Baird's Testimony

Mission 1: Old Town
Declassified Mission: Dark Wretches replace normal wretches

As far as this will be your very first Declassified mission, do not expect it to be hard. Also, on the very first Declassified mission you will be told all the basics of these things and explained why it is important to complete them and what they will give you instead. As for the mission itself, you will encounter the enemies spawned by the activation by a burning tree. As you’ve probably guessed, already, in this Declassified mission you will be fighting with Wretches. There will be more than just enough of those but trust me – there is no need to feel scared. The only thing to remember here is that Wretches will explode after you send them to the world of dead, so make sure to keep the distance. After they start spawning, I would recommend to go back a bit and hide behind the car. By all means – it is a lot easier to survive when shooting from behind the cover. Also, if you happen to have some grenades – do not leave them for the future and throw those explosive “fruits” into the group of enemies. Killing the bad fellows with style should definitely make you closer to the 3 Star Reward.

Mission 2: Riverwalk District
Declassified Mission: Finish before hammer of dawn strike in 4:00

If you feel relaxed and excited after the very first Declassified Mission – don’t be because the second one will already become a little challenge and some kind of testing for your fighting abilities. One of the main downfalls of this mission happens to be the timer that will limit you in actions. But don’t worry – we will walk your through this hell. After you activate the mission, run forward and cross the bridge to the other side. As you go up the stairs, check to your left and you will see a mortar there. You should definitely use it in your future fighting strategy. So, make sure you take care of the mortar and she will take care of the enemies approaching from the front. As always – try to shoot off enemies from the distance, if possible. When they are close – Chainsaw is the best answer for every question. As you progress through the mission and get to the turret gunner, run forward and find a proper cover behind the wall. Providing your character with a proper cover will make things easier. First of all – you will be able to shoot down enemies from the distance and second of all – you will be able to throw grenades at the enemies and take no damage when they explode. In other words – hiding behind this car is a perfect opportunity to control the crowd. But considering the running timer – do not spend too much time in here and go to the top of the area. When there – hide behind a good cover in the very back of the area. It is not recommended to get on the turret as far as your death will be pretty instant. But, try to do your best and help the AI to take down the Locusts. At a certain moment you will see a door burst opening. When this happens – get away from the line of fire as fast as possible. When the mission marker shows, shoot a couple of enemies from the distance to minimize any casualties and rush to the door. There is no need to act heroic here.

Mission 3: Museum Gardens
Declassified Mission: Use Hammerbursts, Sawed-Off Shotguns, and One-Shots only

As you’ve, probably, guessed already, you won’t be able to complete this Declassified Mission with the guns you like but only with the guns listed above which are Hammerbursts, Sawed-Off Shotguns and One-Shots only. Though – if you enjoy playing with at least one of those – a big plus to your taste and good for you. Hammerburst is a powerful weapon but, unfortunately, happens to have very bad recoil. Well, this is just something to keep in mind and if you plan on using this gun more often, do not forget to aim lower from the place you want to send your bullets as far as it will definitely go up enemy’s body. By the way – the area is literary crowded with the healing kantuses, so when the battle starts, it might be a good idea to move forward keeping it to the right side and taking down any kantus enemies that will appear on your way. Also, do not forget about the One Shot enemies that will try to snipe you with every suitable condition. So, when you are done here – make your way to the enemy’s sniping point. Here you will have the one shot and the whole onslaught of enemies. Make sure you do the right thing. Though, do not get overexcited and keep an eye on the tickers that should appear rather sooner than later. Oh, and the good news is that if the approaching enemies form a line, you might wanna try to go for a multi kill.

Mission 4: Great Hall
Declassified Mission: Nemacyst will join the ground attack

The 4th Declassified Mission in this Chapter is pretty straight forward and you are not supposed to have any problems completing it nice and easy. However, one of the most important strategy moves should be your placing of the turrets. Make sure you set one on the right and one of the left wing. Those mechanical miracles will take care of the flying enemies. These enemies are pretty dangerous because they enjoy kamikazing players and if not taking care of – at a certain moment they can simply kamikaze you or your teammates. In this mission enemies come in waves. Complete them all and get to the next mission.

Mission 5: Kashkur Wing
Declassified Mission: Lancer wielding cyclops drones in the area.

As you start the mission, you will see a turret across the way shooting at you. Try to avoid its heavy fire and run to the right side. Keep following the right wing until you reach two guns. I do understand that a shotgun looks like a decent decision but instead take the sniper rifle and run back to the place where you’ve started the mission. Now it’s just about time to take care of the already mentioned and kind of annoying turret. Snipe off the turret and keep shooting at the enemies providing your squad with a covering fire. Aiming for the head is, of course, the most effective way to kill an enemy and earn some extra points. When you’re done, grab some grenades that you will find at the starting point and then equip your character with a Shotgun and a Shield. As far as another wave of Locusts will attack you, both items will show their effectiveness in the following battle. Also, do not forget about the grenades from your inventory and use them to take a group or two of those Locusts as they come at you. Keep an eye on the wretch enemies as well. In the back of the area you will find a room. Use it as a cover and defend yourself until every single enemy is dead.

Mission 6: East Wing
Declassified Mission: Stop locust from destroying Nassar Embry's Armor

Declassified Mission in East Wing is pretty easy to complete: your task is to protect the Armor that will be at the very beginning of the section. Just make sure that not a single foe comes close to the armor. Enemies will approach in two waves:

Wave # 1:
First of all grab two turrets and place them in the gaps by the armor. After you do that – run to the other side of the area and grab one more turret. Bring it back to the Armor and place in the last third gap by the armor. Also, do not forget to pick up the Boomshot and keep it in your hands as long as possible. A greater part of this job will be made by the turrets but it doesn’t mean that you just have to sit back and watch them protecting the armor: shoot off the most dangerous enemies and from time to time, when it’s safe, come closer to the turrets and repair them to keep the show going. If enemies come in groups – grenades will solve the problem.

Wave # 2 (Checkpoint granted):
After the first wave ends, you will have a few moments to take a breath and prepare yourself and the area you are in for the next one. Of course, it won’t be as easy to complete as the first one but it doesn’t means that things will get impossibly hard to achieve. First of all – grab the Onxy container and refill your Boomshot to 6 shots. It is always important to be locked and loaded. If you still happen to have a few spare seconds, make an attempt to grab a few extra grenades. They will be on the right higher area not far from the stairs behind you. This wave will be pretty hard to deal with, so using any method to complete the task and hiding behind covers is what you are supposed to do to survive in the area. But, of course, do not forget to protect the armor because if it goes down – you will go down with it as well.

Mission 7: Archives
Declassified Mission: Serapede Eggs left intact will hatch, spawning more Serapedes to fight.

Your task for the next Declassified Mission is to locate and destroy all the Serapede Eggs left. All in all there are ten of those things. You do not have any time limitations but the faster you complete the task – the less trouble you are going to have. Here’s the list of Eggs and places where you can find them:
1. The very first group of Serapede Eggs will be right in front of you as you start the Declassified Mission;
2. The next group of Serapede Eggs will be in the ammo room nearby. Make sure you check inside;
3. The 3rd group of Serapede Eggs will be under the fan’s shadow – right at the end of the tunnel;
4. The 4th group of Serapede Eggs will in the very first room to your right. Get inside and check out the ceiling. The Egg will be by the hole on the ground.
5. After locating the 4th Egg, do not go anywhere and look inside the hole. You will find the 5th group of Serapede Eggs there.
6. Again – in the very same room search for the light with a dead body below it. The 6th group of Serapede Eggs you are looking for will be on the left of the door in the corner above the archway.
7. When you exit the door and see a body right in front of it – the 7th group of Serapede Eggs will be on the wall.
8. Keep moving forward as you’d naturally do and when you reach a fork in the path – turn your head right. At the end of the passage you will find the 8th group of Serapede Eggs.
9. Go through the area with the double doors with the lock. Somewhere in the middle of that section you will find two groups of eggs. These are the 9th…
… and the 10th Serapede Eggs in the area.
After you destroy all the Eggs, you won’t have much time to chill out and rest because a very unpleasant number of wretches and serapedes will spawn almost immediately. Dealing with them on the open area is not the best strategy ever, so it is highly recommended to retreat and run all the way back to the area with an empty room. If you are not sure about the room I’m talking about, search for the room with bricks on the ground. Use the little ramp to get a bit higher above the ground and this will give you the amazing strategy and tactical advantage over your enemies because they won’t be able to touch you as long as you are on that ramp. Clear that area from all the foes and then complete the mission.

Mission 8: Vaults
Declassified Mission: Heavy dust will reduce visibility

The very last Declassified Mission in Chapter 1 is going to be pretty hard to complete, mostly because of the reduced visibility. So, once you open the doors and the enemies attack, you won’t see anything unless it comes close enough to reveal its silhouette through the dust. The best tactics here is to use your spotting ability. This should help a lot. In order to do such a thing press and hold the “LS” button while aiming. Also, if you press “Down” on the D-pad, you will get a general overview of the area. This might be helpful as well. Now, when you are aware of the situation around, move forward a bit and then head back to your starting point. From here let the AI experts to take care of whatever comes from the dust and you, at the same time, do not forget to protect them with the covering or suppressing fire. Remember to watch out for the cleavers running in after you and when it’s safe – aim from the back and fire when it’s possible. If the cleavers get to you after all, there is a great possibility that you will die instantly after two hits that, actually, counts as one considering the fact that cleavers swing two hits at a time. Though let’s hope that this is not going to happen. When the area is clear, look and turn left to get the Onyx pickup and refill whatever has to be refilled. When the next wave of enemies spawns, try to make your way back into the room you came from. It is highly recommended to keep your chainsaw gun ready all the time as far as the cleavers will do their best to get as close to you as possible and thanks to the dusty surrounding and reduced visibility, you won’t have a chance to spot them earlier and react accordingly. Also, the Insane difficulty plays a very important role in completing the mission. So, a working chainsaw gun in your hands is exactly that something that will protect you from getting into trouble and when you see something rushing at you, wait for it to get in the range of your gun and press the “B” button at the required moment to send the poor fellow to his ancestors. When the maulers show up, you will be forced to take advantage of all the grenades you have. Please, be as accurate and as tactical as possible because this is the point where you might get into trouble and restart from the checkpoint for a couple of times. Being backed up into the corner you are not going to have enough options. There is also a possibility to endanger your 3 Star reward, so do whatever it takes to survive the last way. By the way – do not forget about stim grenades. They are definitely going to save your life and lives of your teammates.

CHAPTER 2: Sofia's Testimony

Mission 1: Enfield Bridge
Declassified Mission: Reduced ammo, no longshots, and additional Reavers to fight

One of the biggest issues about this Declassified Mission is that you will have to complete it with the reduced ammo. It is not critical but it does mean that you will have to aim precisely and shoot accordingly. Now, when the mission starts – do not go on the bridge and instead move to the left side. Try to stay as low as possible and if everything goes the way it should – your team will take care of the approaching wave of enemies. Of course, you can help them out but get into the fight only when things get really tough and endanger the whole operation. Also, do not forget to make a few executions which will help you to get closer to the 3 Star reward. As you progress through the mission, you will come to the Reavers and this is the location where being careful means a lot. Double check everything and don’t act like a hero – this is not the place nor the time. The giant place you are in can, actually, be used to your advantage. When the Reaver appears and starts chasing you, run around the area and shoot back if you want. But, as it appears, your teammates will do all the heavy lifting. After all – they have infinite ammo and you don’t. Also, if you are looking for some action, you can run all the way to the other side of the bridge and grab a turret. It won’t be easy but if there’s a window – it’s totally worth it. Despite the fact that this is kind of a short Declassified Mission, getting a 3 Star Reward is kind of tricky in here.

Mission 2: Courtyard
Declassified Mission: Finish before poison gas deploys 5:15

Courtyard Declassified Mission is another mission with the timer and again: it is not fatal but happens to be kind of problematic. Another issue about this particular mission is that you will have to face a great amount of big enemies. But we will get back to them a bit later. As for now – run to the right side and locate the sniper. Not always but in lots of cases this might be a One Shot. Taking him down with a headshot is not necessary but will grant you with a few bonuses, so there is nothing that should stop you from doing that. Also, let’s not forget about the turret operator: he also has to be send to the world of dead. Taking care of the shrubs shouldn’t be a problem at all. After that the raging enemies will approach and facing them is inevitable as well as getting 3 Star Reward for your efforts. Though, you will have to finish one last and very important thing: make your way through the building with tickers (the faster – the better) and before getting to the door kill a bunch of enemies on your way. As far as there is no other way to pass them – getting rude and violent is the only option.

Mission 3: R&D Labs
Declassified Mission: Toxic fumes affect vision

As it appears, completing this Declassified Mission shouldn’t take much effort from you in particular. Technically, all you have to do is to hide in the back and shoot at the enemies only if it’s really important and necessary. Otherwise – there is no need to be a hero. Though – covering fire is also something that will really help your teammates to win the match. Declassified Mission of the third mission in Chapter 2 is considered to be one of the easiest ones. But, even with this in mind, do not forget to protect yourself from the enemies that will try to come really close and melee attack you.

Mission 4: Monroe Commons
Declassified Mission: Nemacysts attack beacon

Well, this Declassified Mission happens to be pretty tricky, if you know what I mean. After launching the Declassified Mission, try to stay in the back and behind the cover as long as possible. After all – there is no need to rush to the front line. Wait for the Bot to go behind a doorway and start getting another one open. It is really important to stay close and deal with any possible enemies that approach you and the Bot. the best instrument here is the bellowed chainsaw. Also, let’s not forget about the flying Nemacysts and with the very first possible opportunity, shoot those down and make sure they do not damage the bot. When you appear outside, keep staying behind and continue guarding the area. The Nemacysts won’t make you wait too long and will strike soon from the air. Take them down first and then take care of all the other groups of enemies coming your way and endangering your team. The naughty bot will keep on moving which will definitely make things a bit tougher and inconvenient. The only advice here is to stay as low as possible, recharge as fast as possible and shoot as precise as possible. And, do not forget to watch out for the Bot and adjust to his movement trajectory.

Mission 5: Atrium
Declassified Mission: Fight with pistols only

Taking into consideration the requirements for this mission, it won’t be an easy task to take care of all the enemies with pistols only. But, as we all know, Impossible is nothing. Technically, everything is not as complicated as it seems to be. First of all – the area you are going to play in is not as long as other areas meaning that you will complete it pretty quickly. Secondly – receiving 3 Stars of reward will take you no more than a couple of try outs and that, my friend, means a lot in our business. So, at the very beginning, as you start the Declassified Mission, make an attempt to grab a turret. You can find it near the statue on your right. Set it up so it covers as wide territory as possible and then rush back behind the barriers. Thank God pistols in this game have almost no recoil and shoot pretty fast. So, when you shoot, aim good and shoot fast. Basically, enemy spawn can be divided into two waves and will either appear in a form of wretches mixed with other enemies or the grenadier locusts. Make the turret do all the dirty job and as for you – look from around the corner from time to time to care of the most annoying enemies and protect the turrets from getting destroyed.

Mission 6: Crash Site
Declassified Mission: Serapedes and corpsers added to the attack

This Declassified Mission is not hard to complete and the only trouble you might face will be in the amount of enemies coming your way. All in all there will be two waves:

Wave # 1:
The very first wave in Crash Site location will consist of tickers, serapedes and corpsers. From time to time you might also see wretches but they will be either random spawns. This wave will mostly concentrate on destroying your barriers. If you have an opportunity to place turrets in the proper places, they will very likely solve the problem. Especially, these will be helpful with the annoying Serapedes

Wave # 2:
The second wave won’t be that easy to fight with and you will be forced to deal with more than just “A Lot of” enemies. The good news, though, is that the area you are going to play in will be pretty big and if by any chance something bad happens and your health gets really low, simply run, hide and wait for it to restore. Also, even if you are gone for a minute or so, your team will take care of the approaching enemies. But still – don’t count on them too much and get back as soon as possible. If you don’t get the desired 3 Star reward, simply restart the mission and play one more time. I myself wasn’t able to get it at my first try out.

Chapter 3: Paduk's Testimony

Mission 1: Amador Park
Declassified Mission: Use Gnashers and Sawed-Off Shotguns only

Gnashers and Sawed-Off Shotguns are definitely not my favorite guns but still – getting 3 Stars with both of them won’t be a problem. At least – it shouldn’t be. After you start the Declassified Mission, make an attempt to get to the place where enemies spawn. These will be either corpsers or maulers (or both). But, no matter the enemy – with the guns mentioned it will be pretty easy to take them down and take them down in big quantities. Also, you should count on your teammates and let them help you to control the approaching enemy crowds. After you cross the checkpoint, you will have to go through the gate and there will be another wave of enemies (pretty big wave of enemies). And again – you are not supposed to do all the job by yourself: make sure that your AI teammates concentrate their fire on the corpse and you, being a good team member yourself, provide them with the “covering fire” and get into the fight when something goes wrong. Probably, the only problem you are going to have is the problem with the enemies shooting at you and your team from the distance. Considering your weapons’ peculiarities, try to flank those foes while your AI friends distract them with their fire power.

Mission 2: Magadha Villa
Declassified Mission: Locusts use smoke grenades to reduce visibility

Yes, the area you are going to play in will get smoky at a certain moment but it doesn’t mean that you will get into a serious trouble with a bit reduced visibility. From the very beginning you do not have to take care of the weaker enemies coming your way. Just on the contrary: let your team send them to the world of dead. You can help them if you want to but save yourself for something bigger. So, when this “bigger” appears on the field in a face of your enemy, take care of it as fast as possible. You can also try to grab a few executions – it won’t harm. It is also highly recommended to grab a lancer that will be dropped by your enemies. This weapon will help you to become even more effective at the distance. Also, as far as bigger and harder enemies are going to show up, the lancer will help you to keep the distance between you and, what is really important, won’t let them harm you. After you kill them all and get outside, you will get in the area with almost zero visibility. It is really important here to wait for a couple of minutes (maybe less) and the area will be cleared in all the possible meanings.

Mission 3: Soleno Villa
Declassified Mission: Finish before explosives detonate in 5:15

Well, my dear friend, welcome to another mission with the timer. While you have enough time to finish all the important stuff and get a 3 Star reward, your time for taking decent decisions will be kind of limited, so, make sure your every step is rational and is worse all the effort you put into it. Now, as the mission starts, do not forget to pick up a sniper rifle. First of all – it will help you to take care of all the enemies from the distance and secondly – you will have an opportunity to add a few headshot bonuses to your statistics. By all means, it is highly recommended to take care of all the enemies shooting at you from the balcony. Once you are done, you will receive a checkpoint. After that get prepared for Maulers. They won’t take much of your time but you will have to run in circles in order to take them down effectively. Of course, the strategy is all up to you, but this one worked great for me. When Maulers are down, you will have Ragers for desert. It doesn’t matter what you will use to take them down: just make sure that this something works effectively and kills them instantly. As always, it might be a good idea to go for a few headshots. When you are done – rush to the end of the mission.

Mission 4: Windward Way
Declassified Mission: Extra locusts will attack from behind

When you read the words “Extra locusts will attack from behind,” you should really take these words seriously because when something attacks you from behind – it’s always unpleasant and, in most cases, unexpected. So, as you start the mission, you have to get yourself prepared for a lot of battling. Though, as you start the mission, you won’t be forced to face the enemy right away. What you can actually do is to hide in the back and wait for your teammates to take care of all the upcoming trouble. Sounds nice, doesn’t it? When the coast is clear and you are ready in physical and mental meanings, get back into the battle and rush onto the battlefield. As you make your way through the hordes of enemies, you will (eventually) notice a Green Car. This car might play a very important role in the further outcome. In other words – if you get into trouble and your health goes almost below zero, rush into the corner between the car and the wall. This is not the safest place on the planet but it will save you from Bloodmounts (they won’t be able to hit you in here). As for the other foes, wretches can be stopped with your chainsaw and those who shoot from the distance, miss more than just often. In other words, don’t worry and simply control the entrance for all the desperate fellows trying to kill you. When things get clearer and calmer, get out and the wall will break down. Keep killing the approaching Bloodmounts from the distance and this will keep them from damaging you heavily. As you move up, there should be a sniper rifle on your way a bit to the right. Grab that thing and move further on. When you get closer to the locust shooting the mortar, do not hesitate and send this fellow to his ancestors (he totally deserves that)! After you take care of him – head back as fast as possible over the broken wall and provide your team with the covering fire. When things get clearer and calmer – get to the spot where the mortar was and try to use this weapon against the last 2 Bloodmounts. As you understand – Bloodmounts are allergic to things like heavy weapons, including mortars. Also, do not forget about the wretches and attack them from the top.

Mission 5: Risea Estate
Declassified Mission: Locusts use One-shots to protect mortars

Accept the mission and pick up the sniper that should be in the very same room the Declassified Mission is. Your primary task will be to take care of the enemies near the mortars, those hiding on the balcony. Also, there are One Shot enemies and, of course, they can’t be left behind and alive. So, make sure you take them down too. By all means take advantage of the turret and place it so that it takes care of all the enemies rushing your way. You can also hide nearby and help out the turret to deal with the persistent enemies. When you get rid of the enemies mentioned, focus back on the enemies on the balcony. They need to be sent into the darkest corners of the Hell. But, as always, do not forget about those on the ground because, maybe, not with the quality but definitely with the quantity, the bad guys might kill you. Also, mortar shots and one shots will bother you from time to time and, of course, they also need to be taken care of. In other words, when you have no visual contact or simply need to take a breath and reload your gun, get behind the cover and stay there until the mortar shots land and One Shots are shot. The good news is that your AI teammates are not as vulnerable as you are and they do not have to stay in the cover as long as you are supposed to. So, let them do a part of the job and then do the rest. After your team is done killing the ground enemies and you clear out the way from mortars – come out and snipe the area and get rid of those who are still alive.

Mission 6: Guest Bungalows
Declassified Mission: Sentry guns and laser fences guarding the area

As you can see yourself, your primary targets are Sentry guns and laser fences in the area. So, the very same moment you see one, make sure you turn it into pieces. Though, try to do that from the distance in order to avoid direct contact with the ground enemies. You can rush close to the turrets, destroy them and get back behind the cover. After you do that – get inside the building ahead and set an ambush on the stairs. This will help you to take down all the incoming enemies trying to get you and your team. When the crowd of enemies comes to its end, try to do your best and rush the mansion ahead. It will be down the street. When there – hide inside the bottom area (this is believed to be the safest place). It will protect you from almost everything, including Reavers and enemies alike.

Mission 7: Elliot's Mansion
Declassified Mission: Locusts use on-shots

The next and the last area for this Chapter is not that hard to complete and, if you plan to get into trouble, there is always a possibility to run away and hide somewhere a bit aside from the center of the battle. You might also be interested to know that there will be two waves of enemies you will have to deal with. Both waves seem to be pretty easy as long as you put more strategy into your actions.

Wave # 1:
As always – the very first wave will be pretty basic. You can rush into the battle and deal with the enemies but it’s better to get back with the bot and hide in a safe place behind the cover. But don’t worry – you will still have your chance to get outside and deal with the enemies because there will be a plenty of those.

Wave #2:
When the 2nd wave starts, you will very likely be at the open together with the bot. Well, this is not the safest place to stay but if you need to be here it means that you need to be here. So, place a turret in front of the bot and this will protect it for a certain period of time. As for yourself, try to stay not far from the door and in case of emergency jump inside and save yourself from danger. Also, your teammates are going to be pretty helpful, so just stay with them and help out when you get an opportunity. Some time after you are going to face 2 Beserkers. Darn, I hate those things! Anyway, if you get lucky your team member will, probably, get down at least one of those killing machines and the other one will be left for you. You can make an attempt to kill it with the weapon you have but I would recommend to pick up a scorcher. With this thing everything is going to flow faster and better. After you pick up the scorcher, help your team to take down the second and the last Beserker or he might injure someone from your team. After you send it to the ancestors, the area you play in will be over.

CHAPTER 4: Cole's Testimony

Mission 1: Fortress
Declassified Mission: Frag grenades planted around beach landing with reduced access to locust defenses.

If you thing that this area is just another mission with a couple of enemies that need to be taken care of – you are so mistaken, my dear friend, so mistaken. In other words – get prepared to die a lot. The trick of this mission is that you can die in mere seconds of this location and no matter what you do – the good old-fashioned bad luck can destroy all your plans and send you back to the checkpoint. If you plan to do nothing – you might die instantly, if you plan to rush forward – you might die instantly, if you shoot back – well, I think I’ve made the point. So, a couple of restarts in this location and with this Declassified Mission is rather a must. When you appear in the new section, use the closest barricade to hide from everything that might injure or kill you. Now, using the barricades make your way and pick up a sniper rifle in front of you. Once you have it in your hands – get back and hide behind the cover. Use every opportunity to snipe out turret operators but do not forget about the deadly things flying above your head and if you see one coming your way – jump or do whatever it takes to save your life. When you are done fighting for your life and the enemies are down, move forward but still – keep your head down and behind the cover. When the beach ends – make your way to the bunker and get inside. There will also be a turret on the right. Now, when you are safe and protected, let your comrades do the rest and kill as many enemies as possible. You can also help them and provide with covering fire but don’t get too excited and try to stay low.

Mission 2: Container Terminal
Declassified Mission: Finish before the artillery strike hits in 4:45

After completing the previous mission, this one will look like a piece of cake. It won’t be hard to complete it but the only thing that still should be kept in mind is that it’s important to concentrate on Headshots, Executions, Cluster kills and things alike. This will bring you 3 Stars reward – I promise. You can use mechs as additional help but it is not obligatory and vitally important in this Declassified Mission. The only thing to keep in mind is the time. You will have a plenty of it but, again, doing something slow won’t bring you that sweet something called Victory.

Mission 3: Motor Pool
Declassified Mission: Use Boomshields and Lancers only

Even despite the fact that you will be limited in your arsenal, with a Boomshields in one hand and Lancers in the other you should be a dangerous power on every battlefield. Since you won’t be limited with any possible timers, all you have to do is to move slowly and use every cover that appears on your way. But still – the resistance here is pretty poor.

Mission 4: The Cliffs
Declassified Mission: Use torque bows and breechshots only

As you start the mission, locusts will be pretty far from your location which means that you will have more than just enough time to take them down keeping your body and soul safe. So, just take your time and enjoy taking down enemies one by one. After that you should see the elevator coming down with a few enemies in it. Obviously, make them regret that they came here and now are disturbing you for no reason. After this incident you will receive a checkpoint. Now your task is to go up the elevator without any decent cover. Well, you cover is your team! I do understand that it might not be the most humane behavior but they are AI and won’t suffer a lot from being shot at. On the other hand – you will get in a lot more serious trouble with the enemies covering you with the bullets. So, hide behind your teammates and try to use your bow with every possible and suitable opportunity. Also, do not forget about the turrets and do not let anyone to get close to them. Otherwise, you might get into trouble and endanger your team even more.

Mission 5: Central Base
Declassified Mission: Strong wind affects movement

The good news is that you will have a plenty of weapons to play with and attack the approaching enemies. On the other hands, because of the wind and reduced visibility, you won’t be able to shoot effectively and move towards the 3 Star reward. But, we have a recipe for this as well, so here’s what you are supposed to do: when you appear in the obvious area with lots of weapons, from the offered arsenal choose the longshot and lancer – they will save the day. Now, if you plan to get closer to the enemy encounter – this might not be the best idea in the world because it has very poor visibility and won’t let you do what has to be done. So, that is why I would recommend going to your right and enter a little building with a boomshot in it. Staying in this building will allow you to see things clearer and react correspondingly. As you progress through the mission, do not forget to take down enemies with headshots as often as possible. Being creative and persistent and sniping out enemies with the headshots is, probably, the only way to receive a 3 Star Reward as far as killing regular enemies with regular shots won’t treat you with the desired result and you should not expect more than 1 star for your efforts. If this happens to you – simply restart the mission and go for headshots kills one more time.

Mission 6: Central Control
Declassified Mission: Slower health regeneration resulting in death and lights are out

The biggest problem of this one will be the reduced visibility in the area because of the darkness, but again – nothing one can’t handle. As you start the mission and keep shooting back at the approaching enemies, do not forget to pick up the shield on your way forward. It will come in handy in every possible situation including the one when you simply have to stick back and slowly move up when possible. The good news is that even despite the already mentioned reduced visibility, your team will feel itself very and very comfortable. After all – they are AI fellows and we all know that some rules do not apply to personalities who are controlled by Artificial Intelligence. Now, the next area you move in will be a hallway. It is important for you to take the first turn right to find a side area. Why so important? Well, how about a few grenades that can be tossed into the group of enemies and make them disappear almost instantly? This side area also works great as a hiding spot and when you feel unsafe or you think that the damage is going to be devastating, please, don’t hesitate and hide in here for as long as you need. Also, this area is great for supporting your teammates with the covering fire without exposing yourself too much.

Mission 7: Beach
Declassified Mission: Locust use oneshots

This Declassified Mission will be kind of tough, so reserve some time for more than just one tryout. On the top of that, you will have to survive 3 Waves of enemies and with every wave they are going to get harder and harder. It also might be a good idea to let your teammates to do a part of the job. No, this is not you being a coward – this is you being strategically advanced. So, when you activate the Declassified Mission, head back and find the farthest bunker from the beach. Before getting inside the bunker, do not forget to put turrets at the exit. It is not a necessity but still can save you from unpleasant surprises. Just in case, so to speak. Now, grab a sniper rifle and start sniping the area if you see something through the scope.

Wave # 1:
The first wave of the enemies is extremely short but it doesn’t mean that you can’t take advantage of it. Literary. So, when you see the enemies approaching – try to focus on oneshot foes. At the same time, let your team deal with the others.

Wave # 2:
The second wave of enemies is going to be a bit tougher but still pretty manageable from the place you are in right now. There is no need to be original this time and simply repeat that tactics you’ve applied to the first wave. But keep it in mind that in the second wave you are going to face 2 boats and they might turn into a little trouble if you do not take them down quickly.

Wave # 3:
I know that you want all this to come to the very logical ending but the real fight you’ve been dragged into is only to begin. It looks like some of the fellows are late for the party and they need you to meet them properly. In other words – staying in the bunker is not an option anymore and you do need to get out and face the enemy. Well, I am not saying that you should get on the front line and kill each and every foe but moving your turrets closer to the battlefield and helping out your folks is definitely something you need to do. You also need to keep in mind that by the middle of Wave # 3 you are very likely to run out of ammo. So, try to shoot as accurate and as rare as possible. Also, make sure your shooting if effective. Your Turrets and your teammates will do the rest.

CHAPTER 5: Baird's Testimony

Mission 1: Wharf District
Declassified Mission: Extra locust resistance in the area

As you start the Declassified Mission, you will find a bunch of guns right near the very first encounter. You can choose whatever you like but to make everything flow faster, I would recommend to get yourself the Markza rifle. It will be extremely helpful in the next area. As you move forward, there will be a turret ahead. Try to do your best and do not draw its attention. In order to do that, simply duck behind the wall and when the turret is busy and is not looking your way – shoot off the enemies from behind the cover. You can destroy the turret if you really-really want to but taking it down will take more than just A Lot of your ammo and considering that this resource is rather valuable – I would not recommend doing that. Different enemies will pop out from time to time but being in a good position, you will be able to take them down without exposing yourself a lot. Make sure that you take down as many enemies from your current location as possible and when the coast is clear – get out from behind the cover and move forward a bit. There will be another spawn spot. You can find a cover here but I would recommend to drag the next group of enemies into the very same spot you came out from. If you want some extra help – you can and even should pick up a longshot by the stairs of the first turret. It will be helpful in your further actions as you move further on and get to the mortar enemy. Now, and this is really important, remember to be extremely careful because for some unknown reasons the mortar guy will be able to shoot you with his weapon even in those places you do not expect. Ye, I know – this sucks and does not seem to be realistic but things like this happen pretty often in the games and there is nothing else you can do but deal with it. The only recommendation here is to snipe him while he’s recharging but if you can’t do that – try to hide somewhere at the back. For instance, hiding in the nearby bathroom will really help a lot. Killing the already mentioned above mortar guy will make a difference but not that big difference, if you ask me. Aside this fellow you will have to face a great amount of other enemies and staying the safest place possible is just what you need. So, the very same moment you see the enemies spawning in the area, do not forget to rush back and take them down slowly but effectively. As always – you can count on your team but don’t count on them too much because they won’t be able to do all the work for you.

Mission 2: Parade Grounds
Declassified Mission: More powerful locust resistance

Before you start moving forward through the door – make sure you grab some weapon. You will find a couple of guns by the float. After you make the first step into the next area, you will meet a Serapede and we all know that Serapedes happen to have a very bad sense of humor. In other words – if a Serapede comes after you – there is a 80% chance that you are going to die. Serapedes are really fast and really powerful and even if you run at your best – they will still catch you. So, when this happens (and I have no doubt in that) run as fast as possible to your team. Tricking Serapedes into the blasting power of your teammates is definitely something that will save you and the general outcome of the battle. But even after you and your AI team send the naughty Serapede to the world of dead, you will still have to run around a bit in order to drop all the other enemies like wretches and corpses from your tail.

Mission 3: Upper State Street
Declassified Mission: Heavy locust and Rager offensive

If you want to start this Declassified Mission, you will have to do something else before. As you progress through the level, make sure to take care of some locusts. Otherwise, the Declassified Mission mentioned above won’t be at your disposal. For some reason, this will be one of the hardest parts of the mission in the game, so either get ready to die often, or pull yourself together and do whatever it takes to survive this part of the mission. One of the best ways to do things right is to grab the turret and place it in the way of the room to your left. Make sure that the turret is facing the bot. From the spot you are standing on move across and pick up the one-shot. After you do that, get back to the room to your left and place it there. If you go to the opposite side, there will be the Booshka hanging to the left of the stairs on your way down. Also, do not forget to grab the Onyx Ammo Cache (if you need one) and a few grenades – they won’t harm you in any possible way. After you’re prepared to fight to the end – trigger the Declassified Mission and rush to the room with the one-shot inside. Keep it quiet until you see the red car going down. When this happens – shoot the booshka grenade into it: this will very likely close the car “portal”. Now forget about the booshka and get back to the one-shot. Start taking down enemies one by one but make sure you get rid of the maulers first. Also, do not forget about Ragers – they will definitely come at you and if you do not do anything to prevent your character from being hit… well, you know where the restart button is. After all – this section is kind of hard itself and I am pretty sure that you will have to play it more than just once anyway.

Mission 4: State Street Rooftops
Declassified Mission: Use Boltoks and Longshots only

As far as hiding in the back has been working out for you since the very beginning, this time you won’t be acting original and the very same moment you see the enemies spawning in the area, go back down the ramp and let them come to you. This maneuver will make things a lot easier and as you retreat, you will be able to take at least a few down. A great role in this, of course, will be played by your team, so when you’re done – get your teammates a couple of beers or somethin’. By the way – this is a great place to aim for the heads and go for a few headshots which, of course, will make a 3 Star Rewards a lot more realistic. Do not forget about the floating enemies that will definitely appear above your head. Shoot them down ASAP and slowly progress forward if you do not want to get ambushed. As you reach the next ramp – another group of enemies will attack you as well. Obviously, defeat those naughty foes but do not forget about the flying ones that will appear almost instantly after you get things done with these. After everything is done and you clear out the area – you will get to the checkpoint which kind if makes things a bit easier. But don’t get too excited and relaxed because almost immediately a Reaver will spawn. Get close to the enemy but not TOO close, if you know what I mean. Check the area to your left and there you will find an incline and a wall. They look kind of reliable and can be used for hiding from the angry foes. So, when no one sees you (and even when someone does) hide behind the cover and when it’s possible – shoot off enemies and hide back. Also – do not forget to check the sky above: there will be a few flying enemies trying to strike you accidently. I am pretty sure there is no need to explain what has to be done to make them suffer. As for your teammates – you can count on them and if there’s a Reaver nearby – they will make him go away. But, being a good leader, you should not let them get all the credit.

Mission 5: First Avenue Rooftops
Declassified Mission: Start with no ammunition for boltoks and longshots

It doesn’t matter what kind of gun you have: if you activate this Declassified Mission, all your ammo will be gone. “How should I kill enemies with no ammo?” you will ask. Well, it’s time to get creative, my dear friend but don’t worry – things are not as problematic as they seem to be. Just on the contrary – you will get what you came for. Just make sure that you act carefully. Now, as you move to the bridge (but before actually getting on it), you are going to see a cleaver in a body to your right. Taking into consideration a minor fact that you have no ammo, do not forget to pick up that cleaver and use it in the future combats that are about to start. As you move closer to the entrance of the door beyond the bridge, don’t go there and run back instead. Here you will be forced to face either locusts with guns or enemies with cleavers. Choose whomever you think is better but I found locusts a lot easier to deal with. But again – this is your call! Once you are done in here – move to the next area and have some fun with the mortars you are about to find. They will make a difference and will help you to complete the area without making things complicated.

Mission 6: Museum Square Rooftops
Declassified Mission: Finish before Reaver barrage in 3:00

Once in a while you will be forced to check your reflexes and do whatever it takes to finish the area on time. Mission 6: Museum Square Rooftops is another place where you will be forced to do this kind of thing. So, when everything starts and you go through the first door – make sure to look to your right. Here you are very likely to find either a booksha or a few grenades. We all know that grenades are good for taking out groups of enemies and when you see one coming at you – use the explosives to make them disappear. Also, do not forget about the narrow path in front of you and clear it out from the foes as well. If you do not finish this one on time – don’t worry, usually it takes a few playthroughs to complete the task.

Mission 7: Overlook
Declassified Mission: Greatly reduced visibility

If you are not prepared, it means that you are not ready to face the enemy and show them who’s in charge in here. So, before you launch the first wave of enemies, make sure you prepare yourself for the battle properly and take all the possible advantage of the room with the crossbow and turrets. First of all, set the turrets to guard the left doorway and then use the crossbows to lay some traps. After that you can start the wave.

Wave # 1:
It looks like you won’t have to fight at the front line in this wave. Just stay inside the room and enjoy taking down enemies through the window. Your team will very likely complete the job for you but they won’t mind to receive at least a backfire as a gratitude for their efforts.

Wave # 2:
Unlike the first wave that should be pretty easy to beat, the next one will turn your life in something far more extraordinary. You are definitely going to see the best of the best from the opposite camp: bloodmounts and even a couple of reavers will be fighting to the end and you, my friend, need to understand that surviving the battle won’t be an easy task. However, you will have a few turrets at your disposal and make sure you keep them running no matter what. They do make a difference and if you let them break and die – well, you will, eventually, go after them soon. At the same time do not forget to keep away from the window and do not let anyone to kill you through it. Keeping your eyes on enemies and knowing their locations on the map should pretty much solve the problem. As for the weapon – it might be anything you prefer to play with but retro lancer is kind of a perfect fit for this location and if you equip your character with the weapon mentioned – it will give you an amazing advantage and a least +1 to the victory. Yes, it has one of the worthiest recoils from all the guns in the game but with the killing power like this it won’t matter.

CHAPTER 6: Present

Mission 1: Courtroom
Declassified Mission: Use Cleavers only

In order to activate this declassified mission you will have to clear the room with the logo first. The best way to do that is to hide near the stairs with the overlook on the middle. Keep defeating the upcoming enemies and circle around to minimize your injuries. When you’re done – do not forget to activate the Declassified Mission. Luckily, after you do that and the foes start coming – your task will be rather simple: hang back and keep running. Your AI team will do the rest. Of course, when the opportunity comes – be a gentleman and help them out but even with you being the most passive player in the world – they will be able to deal with the enemies effectively.

Mission 2: Halls of Judgement
Declassified Mission: Locust smoke grenade traps reduce visibility

And again – you will have to work with your guns first in order to start the Declassified Mission. So, as the location starts – keep making your way further on and do not forget to clear out the sky above from all kinds of enemies including the flying locusts but be careful – these are going to explode upon death. The best strategy here is to stay as far in the back as possible and use long ranged weapon. Also, do not underestimate your team – they will be extremely helpful through the mission. So, only after you clear the location and open the door – you will be able to start the Declassified Mission and show your best. As the mission begins – you will see an enemy crashing through the door. This kind of action will reduce the visibility a bit but it won’t make that big difference. Again – try to stay at the back and stay behind the cover as long as possible. Your team will do the rest. Of course, with the very first opportunity help them out and provide with the covering fire or make an attempt to perform a few headshots. You can show your strategy skills and mark enemies by pressing the “LS” button. This might be very helpful. After you clear out the area – do not feel relaxed and get prepared for another fight. Ye, these foes won’t let you rest even for a short minute. One of the greatest places to hide here is right behind the cover where you will find the Onyx Ammo Cache. As always – killing enemies from the distance is less original but works just great.

Mission 3: Terrace
Declassified Mission: Health doesn't regenerate

As you can see yourself – in this Declassified Mission your character won’t be able to regenerate his health. Yes, it kind of sucks and makes the whole situation very unpleasant. But don’t worry – we will guide you through the 9 circles of hell. In the very same room you locate the Declassified Mission logo, you will also find a few stim-grenades. Make sure you pick them up because they, probably, are the only few things that will save you from dying on the battlefield. Also, pick up every stim-grenade on your way to the end of the level because they happen to be as important as those picked up at the very beginning. When you find yourself on the stairs and feel that things are going to get dangerous – run back and hide wherever it’s safe. Also, try to stay back and snipe off enemies if they appear in your sight. As for the rest – let you team “work” the way and lead you to the victory. Strangely, but this behavior will still bring you a 3 Star Rewards.

Mission 4: North Entrance
Declassified Mission: Taking damage impairs sight

As you start the mission, here’s what has to be done: first of all – take advantage of the turret and place it ahead of you on the stairs. Also, do not forget about tripwire crossbow and place traps in whatever places you think it will work best. A few enemies will appear on your way. Take them down and keep moving forward. Try to stay at the back because, again, another group of foes will try to stop you. Make sure you break their plans. As you get to the checkpoint, you will be able to reload your weapons and stock up on ammo. If you did it well with the turret and it survived all the previous fights, I would recommend to pick it up and take it with you. Kick the door and find a proper cover to continue fighting but with the possible minimum chance of getting hurt. Your team will do most of the job, so do not even think about driving yourself into the close combat. Instead shoot off enemies from the distance and do not let them melee attack you. One reminder, though: if your turret becomes too active, you’d better shut it down. Otherwise you might get into trouble and do not receive 3 Star Rewards despite all the effort.

Mission 5: Main Entrance
Declassified Mission: Use boomshields and sawed-offs only

As far as you have pretty limited ammo in this location, there is nothing better to do than… Yes, you guessed it right: let the others do the job for you. So, when the battle starts – you should let your teammates clear the area. Stay at the back and shoot at the enemies only if you really have to (being limited on ammo really sucks). Use your melee weapon if any foe gets too close. Also, almost at the end of the mission you are going to face some enemies that will be kind of tricky to take down. In this case try to keep as close to your team as possible. Well, at least it helped me out a lot!

Mission 6: Great Staircase
Declassified Mission: Finish before ammo dump explodes in 6:00

Before accepting the Declassified Mission, you might wanna get yourself prepared for the battle. That is why do not forget to pick up the boomshot and ammo packages to your right and only then press “X” near the Declassified Mission logo. After you do that – make sure to look ahead and there you will see an E-hole opening. Keep shooting with your boomshot and clear the area as fast as possible. Also, make sure your team is on it as well. When you’re done – keep moving forward and get downstairs. While getting into the next section, try to be as careful as possible because here you will have to meet with kind of tough enemies and acting careless is definitely something that will turn you into a dead body. By the way – even despite the already mentioned 6:00 time limit – you won’t have troubles completing the area fast enough. But, of course, extra chilling out is not recommended.

Mission 7: Plaza for the Tyran Dead
Declassified Mission: Elite locust defend Karn

Congratulations! If you’ve made so far, it means that you are a persistent gamer and the word “retreat” does not happen to be in your dictionary, am I right? Well, the battle you are about to face is going to be extremely difficult. After all – this is the very last Declassified Mission and almost the last battle in the game. Don’t worry – you will be forced to die a lot, so simply accept this fact and keep playing. By the end of the level you will also face a boss and the one who survives will come back home victorious.

Phase # 1:
I do believe that the gun in your hands deals extremely high damage because the very same moment you get an opportunity to shoot at the boss – keep doing that nonstop. When you need to reload – hide behind the cover and never stay long on the same place a lot. Otherwise – you will be sent back home in a coffin. As the fight progresses – Karn (the boss) will stop for a few moments to aim and throw fire grenades. At this precise moment send all your fire power on him (shooting the glowing part around will work fine because it’s his weak point). When you deal him the required amount of damage, the beast will retreat.

Phase # 2:
After you scare off Karn, different enemies will start spawning on the surface and you will have to deal with them too. Well, try to do your best and take down as many as possible. Also, watch out for the torque bow: it’s a dangerous thing and you might get killed with it accidently. And, of course, keep moving and never stay on the same spot longer than it is necessary. After you defeat the recently spawned enemies – Karn will be back on the battlefield with a new portion of surprises. Now, instead of the fire grenades, Karn will be shooting diggers. Trust me – they are less pleasant than grenades and won’t make your fight easier. But, when this crazy fellow starts doing that – make sure you shoot the glowing on him. This time his leg is the most vulnerable part of the body. Also, do not forget to keep everything under control and keep your eyes on his mimics. At a certain point the boss will start running at you an if you do not react fast and keep shooting at him remaining on the very same spot – you will be forced to replay the mission from the very beginning. So, when you see that either dodge to the side or keep running away until he stops running at you. And again – after you deal him the required number of damage – Karn will retreat and this move will cause the flying enemies to appear on the battlefield. They will come after you and your team, so don’t worry – things will get pretty tough in here for every member of the group. Though, while your teammates shoot back and deal heavy damage to the flying foes, you can take a minute and run around the map to grab ammo and a boomshot. Do not forget to check out the crack in the wall (pretty hard to miss) and there will be an onyx cache. But for some reason I am pretty sure that you’ve figured that out for yourself. Throwing boomshots/grenades to take down the flying enemies is a very nice strategy as long as you aim and shoot properly.

Phase # 3:
When you deal with the flying enemies and the sky is clear – Karn will come back (again) and you will have to make sure that this is his last time. On the third appearance Karn won’t be original in his actions and will simply repeat the actions described above with a certain sequence. Shoot at him whenever the suitable occasion appears and dodge around when he either throws, shoots something or simply runs on your screaming strange worlds. Keep doing that until the cut scene begins.

Well, my dear friend, this is the end of the Main Judgment Campaign. If you’ve gone so far it means that you did it really well. But do not even think about going away and turning of your Xbox 360. There is another Chapter waiting for you. Well, it has not Declassified Missions but it still is interesting to play and keeps a few COG Tags that have to be collected. But OK – you can take a deep breath and order a pizza to keep the show going.

P.S. If you are reading these words it can mean two things:
- You’ve scrolled up here to see what’s actually at the end and if this post is worth reading’
- You’ve actually read the post (and I am grateful for that a lot);
But, no matter the reason, no matter if you are just a lucky guy or a stubborn gamer, this information might be really useful for you and your friends who also play the game. Well, I am not responsible for any changes and if the next things won’t work – it means that everything has gone different and the world around is not the way it used to be. But, if it still works – you can, actually, skip all the fun reading and playing this game the way described above and get to the point of earning starts immediately. So, here’s what you can do:
- First of all – find two players and make sure that the first one is playing on Insane and the other one on Casual difficulty. I can’t say for sure because I haven’t tried all the possible combinations but I do believe it’s possible to play the game on one Xbox 360 with two controllers and if you have two accounts – this will work great for you. In other case – simply find another player and ask him to play with you. Why should he say yes? Well, keep on reading to find out;
- When the game starts – let the Casual player do all the job;
- At the end of the level, right before exiting the level or when all the enemies are dead, have the Casual player quit the game;
- With your head up high – go to the exit and finish the level;
- When the status screen appears on your monitor with the starts, invite the player back in;
- DO NOT HIT THE “Continue” button – it will destroy all the effort.
Now, if you did everything right – both players (no matter the difficulty) will get 3 Stars for every mission. Technically, this method does not qualify for the Solo but if you have an opportunity to use it and a person to help you out – take the offer without any hesitations. It is totally worth it!

Nice guide. I don't have the game yet, though, but I am mainly a solo player so I'll keep this guide in mind if I decide to tackle this challenge.
