The new MI6 mode especially failed to capture my interest, though it might be worth toying around with. But considering multiplayer is inarguably the main course, GoldenEye 007: Reloaded won’t disappoint. While it lacks the charm of the original and the polish of other modern shooters, overall you’ll find a great experience that was just a few tweaks away from being amazing.

GoldenEye 007: Reloaded is mostly unchanged from last year's Wii version, but it's still a fast and exciting shooter that doesn't rely on ancient memories to be great.

Fortunately, nostalgic fans can indulge in four-player split-screen, which — while offering a third as many match types — still manages to recapture some of the fun Bond games have been grasping at for the past 14 years.

If you’re jonesing for classic, Rare-made GoldenEye and your N64 is nowhere to be found, then the updated Reloaded is definitely a must-buy. But if you don’t already have an attachment to the old game, there isn’t much here for you. There isn’t anything really wrong with this game, but there isn’t a lot going right with it, either. After 14 years, its age is showing, even with the HD facelift and updated story. GoldenEye 007: Reloaded delivers some decent action and fun, but unlike James Bond, it’s not quite the efficient superspy I’d hoped for.

So they based the new Goldeneye game off of the old one? I remember playing the heck out of that game on the N64 when I was younger. I would come home and play every day. I haven't had a chance to play the new one, but these reviews will definitely help me decide if I want to pick it up or not.

I had heard good things about this. I'd played the Wii version but I imagined the 360 version would look and handle better, especially since 360 uses an actual controller and not a little wand thing lol. As was said, I can remember playing the original 64 version for days on end.. being Bond and judo-chopping folk instead of shooting them was awesome. I'll have to look into picking this up as a psuedo-retro pick up haha
