Headset issue

Hi I'm new to the forum but I hope you guys can help i have bought a wired headset with mic it worked for about a day then stopped ? I bought another headset same issue? I replaced the 3.5mm jack on controller same issue? Xbox recognised the headset each time and I can hear through the headset but the mic is not working? Do I need a new controller or is this an easy fix??

What kind of headset it could be a manufacturer defect/issue?

Also if you do have this issue again even though you change headsets, try using it on a different controller and make sure the audio jack is compatible and works for the headset AND controller.

Thanks for that but I've tried all that and I've also replaced the 3.5mm port for a new one still no help.
