I recommend Crackdown as a title to get first. It's pretty much an old launch title worth occupying your time.

Hey Jacky! What kind of games do you like? Puzzle? Sports? Action/Adventure? Role playing? Like Funky Jammer said, Crackdown is a fun title that you can get for pretty cheap nowadays. Gears of War, Call of Duty, Halo, Madden, Tiger Woods, etc....there are all sorts of good titles depending on what type of game you'd like to start with.

Hi Jacky, and welcome to the forums! Some of the first games I got were Call Of Duty if you like shooting games, we also got some kinect games as that was the main reason for getting the xbox. Hope you enjoy yourself!
