XBox One will have this amazing option to either buy the Game on disc as usual or the ability to purchase the Game online and download it to the XBox hard drive.
Which I believe is such an amazing facility.
Now, depending on what kind of internet service you have and preference it may be easier to download or not.
I personally think I will download most of my Games, but there's always those certain games that you just got to have on disc - in case anything ever happens.
How will you purchase your games? Online or offline?

I guess it all depends, I'm sure there are some I will get on disks just because and some I will not feel like going to the store for when I want it right then and will download them.
So I guess it all depends on my mood at the time.
I wish the downloaded games were cheaper though, since they don't have to go through making the disks, cases, shipping, etc for them, but it's likely not going to happen.

mostly going to go digital with a few disk games that are going to be collectors editions I love those things.

As much as I'd love to buy it online... I like having the disc for a console game. It'd lose that console feel if I didn't have the disc.
Also, if something happened to my account or Xbox, there goes my money. =/

Probably online. It's the same situation before, where I either had the choice to buy things online, or go to a physical store and buy it. I think I would only go to physical stores when they're offering a huge discount to a game I would like. Other than that, I would most likely buy all my games online since it's more convenient.

Digitally.

Unless the online versions are cheaper, and I don't think they've yet announced if they would be, it seems to me like you'd be a sucker not to buy the physical disc. The physical disc offers much more flexibility with selling it and lending it to friends.

I still don't entirely understand how full games stored in the cloud are going to work. Seems like the load times are going to suck, I mean computer games when they stream them to you, like Diablo updates for example, they usually take a bit before you can play, and sometimes they're choppy while it's still downloading. And then they're stored after that, is our experience on the One going to be like waiting to stream-download a game every time you play it?!? I guess it could be streamlined in a way to not be noticeable, but I think it might suck.

Whichever is cheaper at the time of buying and depends on which game. I'll try to buy fighters retail whenever, so I can bring them to my friends' houses whenever. Single-player games can be either.

Retail, digital for arcade games and what not, just because there ain't physical releases of them, because if there was i would buy them physically too.

I'm going to make the majority of my purchases through retail because I like the feeling of physically owning my games.
Purchasing games digitally just makes me feel like I do not actually own the game. Even though digitally purchasing them is easier, I like owning discs to show off my collection.

I think i'm going the digital route. Truth be told that system has always worked well for me. I've never sold my games but i have lost them. My movies & music are all digital now streamed through my home media server raid array. Blu Ray movies and games are the only physical copies i have left that i still need. I've always liked my physical copies but i don't use them anymore because my digital ones are so much easier and faster to access. I'm not found of the jump but i think its something thats eventually going to happen for everyone so i'm thinking i'll just get it over with and jump now. With that, I think i may just start the digital route when it comes to the Xbox One.

I will only purchase the physical copy of my games, that is if it is not an Xbox Arcade game. Part of gaming for me is the feeling I get when opening a new game out of the wrapper. Everything from the plastic, the smell and loading it up just makes me feel like a little kid every time. I also would like for my hard drive not to get filled instantly from a plethora of games on the system. Yes, I realize I could download them again as I like, but who would want to download and re-download every time I feel like playing an old game. I'd much rather load the disc up and be on my way.

I'd like to have a the game disk thank you. I prefer a more traditional approach when it comes to console games. For the PC, I don't mind having digital downloads. But for the home consoles I also prefer to have the physical game disks. I like reading what's in the manual. I like looking at the pictures included with the disk.

i am till up in the air on this one...

since their is no way to pre order/buy a day one release game online for the xbox one they are already forcing the physical disk route...

the biggest downside to digital is the lack of pre order goodies, guns, map, gear ect ect... along with the vip/limited editions... game of the year editions with all map packs...

if you want to get people amped or really start to use the xbox live as a way to purchase.. offer a game a week early on digital and watch the madness... or offer first 24hr buy in(on new release pre order/early adoper data pack) if they want to cut out gamestop/walmart/best buy take the power of the pre order away only thing they would be good for is second hand and with big title games purchased on live/market place gamestop would about shut over night... look what red box did to blockbuster....

with them going away from drm/always connected its really hard to justify not buying a physical copy... the only benifit to digital is no disk in tray to play...but past that allot of games are still going to rely on the cloud to offload data which i think is the bigger question... how will disk/non connected gamming be compaired to cloud gaming.. with all the talks of what the cloud is/was allowing game developers to offload off the disk what are they going to give up to cram onto a disk so the game still plays the same. what is going to be the limiting factor on open world maps and load times... their is physically only so much data that can be stored to the disks and i cant see developers making and packaging multi disk games..we are back to the downloaded patches where connected all the time allowed developers to send the package while u were offline or on to do quick fixes or address problems..

When they say stored in the cloud they mean you can download them from their servers.

Whatever is cheapest. Though I don't really like getting it digitally for the 360 because I don't have enough space. I prefer discs because of the heavy need for space on the HDD and I can't be arsed to get a bigger one. For the Xbox One, probably a mixture of both, though I like having a disc so I can sell it.

I will continue to buy my games physically. Unless the digital versions of the game offer some sort of discount, I don't see any reason to buy a game digitally unless you're one of those people that don't like things taking up space. I still prefer having the actual disc and case so I'm sure I stick with just buying games at the store like I always have. I just wish that game booklets would go back to being like they were in the past.

with the recent gold give away games i am liking the no disk thing honestly. id go no disk on my xb1 if i got pre order items like gamestop offered... they could keep the price the same which would in general terms be like having drm and all that..

I actually prefer to download my games. It's more convenient and easier to browse for new games, plus you get to re download your catalogue to another machine years later if you want, which is great I think.

My only grievance is that the download games are often the same price or more than their physical counterparts. Which is just stupidly ridiculous when there is not manufacturing cost to producing the game and getting it to us. Plus, developers especially Microsoft save loads of money by having their own online store as the shops don't get a cut of profits. It's jus 100% to them, so they should at least pass some of that saving on to us, the customer.

All my games, except Xbox Arcade games, I will definitely be buying physical disks.
