Xbox One Is there ever going to be a good Superman game?

Do you think that we will finally get a great Superman game this generation. The last game Superman Returns was god awful and there has been no Superman game ever since. All the other previous ones are mediocre except Shadow of Apokolips on the PS2. Not to mention, Superman has the worst game of all time.
 
dont think so.. it seems they are cashing in on the batman play... and honesty one of the best games on 360 was a batman game...

i think the issue with superman game would be lack of what superman does... to stay true to the comic he really dosnt do much that is gamer enticing. he is super strong and flys.. but he dosnt have stealth he dosnt have gadgets and he only has 1 enemy really.

what they could do is make a collaboration with spyderman,superman,cptn america and such....but its really asking allot.
 
It depends on the studio. Like many cash-in games they never seemed to care who was making the Superman games in the past so we never got something worthy of the character. But now I'm hoping for the best when it comes to the franchise. I really want DC to think before they act and choose a good studio to make a great game.
 
Man, finally, someone speaks about this. I hope there will be too. The only times I can enjoy playing as the Man of Steel is if he's just packed into a game he's not the main star of, like Injustice. But as a solo, he sucks so bad. But yeah, we'll see if one studio can make his game awesome. Hey, why not let Rocksteady do his game? they did well with the Batman Arkham games, so why not make a Superman game? I think they can find a way to adapt their style to his.
 
Depends on the studio I guess. Nobody wants to make a good one yet. But man, I have that desire to play a great Superman game, where you can really be this awesome man of steel. I don't mean to be so invisible or something but I'd love to feel like I'm in power. Hope they can make a good one for this next-gen.

Well, It's really rare to see a superman game. I hope to see one for Xbox One. I wish they can make it as next gen as possible.

the batman control style wont work with superman. 2 very different characters. yes both are human.. but one is human/built on stealth and one is well just not... that is why you see comment about assasins creed games needing to take a page from batman games with the controls.. what rock steady did with batman control wise is about perfect for that style of game and blows assasins ceed out of the water....

but batman has a human element he takes damage and has to be sneeky he is "human" where super man for all intensive purposes is like a bull in a china shop... u can run into any situation minus one with kryptonight without worry.. where batman uses human elements to maneuver and get around tough situations superman is a battering ram and can fly.

basically what i am saying is superman is so cut and dry bland. he is superhuman with basically every general addative minus one thing that effects him. he fit much better in a game with mutiple players like injustice... now if they made a big open world game where you had to use all the characters maybe even a multiplayer than possible... but the fact is you have to dial back his capabilities to make him fun to play.
 
Kinda hard to do a superman game that is like Batman Arkham due to the fact that batman can be hurt/killed... how can you do that with superman? nothing can hurt him unless you have Kryptonite and that would get boring quick if every enemy had it so he could be hurt. If you have it where he can be hurt or killed, you would have all the fan boys crying that its not like superman because he can be hurt... its just a hard game to pull off.... it works in a Mortal Kombat type fighter game, but a stand alone single player just gets too hard..... how do you kill the man of steel? Bullets cant even hurt him.....
 
As its been said before, isn't Batman: Arkham Origins regarded to be one of the best games last generation on the Xbox 360/PS3? Check that out!
 
I thought that Superman Returns had a good concept for the Superman game, he doesn't die but the city does. It's just that EA was a mess, they had great concepts but none of those made it to the final product. There are so many Spider-man and Batman games, I just one to see a Superman game done right for once.

Yup, having a Superman game once in a while isn't a bad idea. But I guess they haven't decided whether to have one or not.

Hmmm... good point. Yeah, I guess you got good points right there. I mean, if we just put it simply... he's just this overpowered man. That's it. No question. You can make some logic that he can't kick your ass but in the end, he's just overpowered. Well, we'll see who can do something. At least Injustice had some logic to it but I don't think the next developer can use that story element since it's only for Injustice.

Let's just wait and see what happens. If they make it, then good, but if they don't well there are lots of superhero games out there that you can play instead.
 
Superman has plenty of villains that can harm him and a wealth of characters that can help make a great game just like Batman. He is not as overpowered as you think and his comics have been amazing over the years. There is plenty of material there if a good company wants to take it. It just depends on whose making the game if they can capitalize on the story.
 
Superman is a classic. I just hope they can change his get up. I'm just sick of superheroes with their briefs showing, haha. doesn't look good to me. But well if they can change it or maybe if there is an option for us to choose his outfit on the game then I'm all in.
 
Well, who knows we might see one coming out late this year. Superman's outfit can't be changed, well if you did change it it won't be superman anymore. We are quite used to his outfit because over the years we have watched, played (well some games) superman. I guess it would be a great game compared to batman when it comes out.
 
i wanted to look like superman so i got his style from his dressing now i feel as superman to wear his outfit it has s logo which boost my personality. goo.gl/58hCWk
 
Hmm, I don't think so. I don't think anyone ever nailed a character like Superman/Iron Man that is very powerful and has almost unlimited traversal capabilities. Characters like Batman and Spider-man are much easier to develop games for.
