Xbox 360 Kameo vs Zelda

I remember Kameo being marketed as Mircrosoft's Zelda killer. True it was a decent adventure game, but something was missing. Kameo felt linear compared to Zelda. I never felt like it was worth exploring off the beaten path as I would in a Zelda game.

What is your opinion on Kameo as compared to the Zelda series?
