I was watching a video this morning that while a bit ripe with bad language, struck me as having brilliant potential:

(Still can't make links.. Sorry. Mods are more than welcome to edit/fix.)
Basically if you have a Kinect and a PC that can run this game (I doubt mine would), then you can animate the models!?
That would be so much easier than trying to animate something normally, and looks like a lot of fun.
