if it is tru i have said this for months.. i don't expect kinect voice to be 100% out of box by any means but with time i can see it getting better. this is also why they won't package without kinect.

all in all im not hurt over the news a i dont know if i will hook up kinect in the room. if it goes in the living room odds are it wil but i am still in the air.

No different than the voice recognition for Siri on my iPhone or Samsung S Voice on my S4.

Sometimes you have to repeat things or slow down when your talking and stuff like that.

Once you have figured out "what works best for YOU", it gets a lot better.

I saw this pop up on KOMO (local Seattle News) and didn't realize it was from FOX news.

I'd like to point out that we've seen dozens of very positive reviews for Kinect 2.0 and very few (only 1?) negative review. Let's try to focus on the overwhelming majority of reviews.

The Kinect is really cool and has a lot of features that seem to be the next generation. The problem I find is that they made it mandatory to be included to the Xbox one package. They could have lowered it $100 so that they can compete with the PS4. I know plenty of people who would buy this anyways because it's neat.

i think that is due to microsoft being very brick room with news and other outlets. some have said they can only play the games for review in front of microsoft(i assume fox,cnn and such) but outlets like rev3 games have yet to comment on kinect yet say they have played/reviewed the release games.

maybe its me but how many real kinect/ui reviews have we seen aside from microsoft?? very very few. even at e3 games con the whole gameplay was on deck but when it came to kinect 2.0 that was done behind closed doors and had microsoft displaying it. im sure people have gotten to use it with microsoft over them or proably showing them what to do.

im not sying this to bash kinect or capabilities i just find it odd that with all therewies out already on games and next gen that this is still the one very quiet part.

it will ge better in time im sure.

unfortunatly i am one of the people who wouldnt have the kinect.. i havnt gotten one on my 360 and am 98% sure i will not use the 2.0 on the xb1 if it goes in my room.

Same here. I have seen videos on YT saying the operation was near perfect.

There is nothing I would need to hide, but the last thing I need is NSA spiing my hose and watch me play games with peopple. I mean, how can you say such stupid things? I thought peopel are more aware of problems with control since Edward Snowden, but looks like they are still people like you, that find nothing wrong with that... ih.

I said this in another thread here, but if MS or anyone wants to see a heavy guy in his undies or shorts drinking a few beers playing games, they can. Some of the things I do would probably embarrass them more than me.

They said they wanted it included with every Xbox One so more developers would use it which makes a lot of sense. It;s already used a little in DR3, Ryse and others.

I think it should be included since it assists not only with games, but with TV functionality as well. Kinda defeats MS vision for being a complete entertainment experience in the living room if the Kinect wasn't part of the package.

Wow! That sure is a nice preview of what we are all waiting for.
Responsiveness is on its max, productivity's just flying, absolutely love it.
This is a perfect example of how multitasking is not an issue at all for the X1

Awesome video!
Shows all the specifics of the new X1, as well as introducing it in a completely new and friendly way.
Guys seem to enjoy the process.
Skype is also a huge bonus.
It would be cool, if there was a chance to split screen during skype calls, so you could play and talk.

People are weird - you just have to constantly struggle to atleast make them satisfied, not to say about making happy. Sad, extremely sad.
