Original Xbox Monster component cables

I recently bought these green monster Xbox component cables in order to revitalize my consoles graphics but I'm experiencing issues with the color coming in. The original Xbox came with 3 cables (red, yellow, white) which work fine on my TV with audio and color. Now I'm wondering if I need the optical adapter that goes with the monster cables in order to get color? Or is it possible to plug the monster cables into microsofts HD pack?

Component cables use red green blue to make a color, so please plug in all colors to their appropriate ports on a TV. If your TV dosent have the ports, then I'd recommend either another TV, or a converter.
Component cables are great as the Xbox was made to run HD
