Sony has now announced that party chat and apps will not require a PlayStation Plus subscription. This includes highly used apps such as Netflix and Hulu. This is great news by Sony as I'm sure many were worried these things would be behind a pay wall, similar to Microsoft. This now gives Sony another advantage over Microsoft when it comes to their upcoming systems.

That is some excellent news, some of the best that I have heard today. I was actually worried about if Sony was going to start charging it's users for a variety of the applications, so I'm very relieved to know this information. I love the Playstation Plus application though, especially because I can download free games to play each month. I have never used the part chat application though, so I will definetly check that out.
