When I first saw this game at the E3 I gotta admit that wasn't impressed at all. It looked way too easy and it had to many QTEs.
However, I've been reading a few articles about it and apparently Crytek has been trying to make the game harder to improve the game experience.
I personally think this is a step in the right direction but I'd like to hear more opinions.

Oh god, yes. They might as well rename it "The life of Qvicktimivs Eventivs", at least from the gameplay demos we've seen so far. Crytek isn't known for making casualized games though, so I'm hoping that there'll be at least strict failure states and punishment for failing QTEs, and they'll be properly implemented as a gameplay mechanic instead of just a mandatory "Press X to win" popup that appears in every cutscene.

I think they've tuned them down a little bit since then. QTEs have their place, and they don't take away much from the gameplay when you implement them properly.
