Xbox 360 Turning off Xbox 360

I've noticed this for a while now, but with my Xbox 360 (not a slim, a white original), when you turn it off, the green light flashes three times slowly and then it finally turns off after about 45 seconds. It's really weird. It started doing it after the major overhaul update they had about a year ago. Not really a big deal, I guess, but just annoying. Does this happen to anyone else?

I haven't noticed ours doing that before. Have you tried running a disc cleaner through it lately? I don't know if that would help, but you could give it a try.

I've noticed that happen with my slim and elite. It will stay running for a bit before turning off and then after that the power bar keeps going for a while.

Lots of times I will hit the power to turn it on then back off right away and it will shut it down.
