Where is Half Life episode 3!?

Can anyone agree the wait for Half Life Episode 3 is just getting ridiculous. I know Valve wants to showcase the new engine but seriously...by now most of the people that got hooked on the Half Life series have probably moved on from gaming and now are married and have had children (it's been that long). Lol.
