So i'm thinking we can discuss the CPU in the Xbox One. We know that the system uses a variant of the AMD Jaguar which is a 8 core 1.6Ghz CPU. I still remember before the Xbox 360 and PS3 launched and the discussions regarding ray tracing and other things developers could finally due with the hardware. Anyways the CPU has 32MB of eSRAM. So we know one to two cores will be reserved for the OS. Whats nice about gaming consoles is the games get so much better over time. How long do you think it'll take developers to utilize all 8 cores in the Xbox One? What are you thoughts on the 8 core CPU and how well it bring things forward for the future of Xbox Gaming? Obviously PCs still have the advantage but how will compared in terms of future proofing?

It's a pretty solid CPU right now, definitely in the middle-top of the range. The clock speed is perhaps a bit low but other than that it's fine at the moment. It will become pretty quickly outdated as hardware moves on rather quickly these days, so it won't stay 'top of the range' forever but it will definitely be good for a couple of years. The 360 CPU is pretty old now and it really shows that it's 8 years old , it all depends on how fast the hardware progresses , if they won't be able to create anything revolutionary, then it might turn out that the Xbox One CPU will stay relevant for longer.
