Assassin's Creed 3 - Frontiersman Guide

Frontiersman missions and challenges are located within the Frontier area of the game. There are three levels of challenges, while the missions are in the form of tales that are told by Boone at his camp fire. These tales are short missions that revolve around myths passed down in the society over many generations. To start on the missions, visit the frontiersman camp fires.

Frontiersman Missions

The Boy Who Cried Wolf
For this mission, you will be directed to search for clues regarding the animal that has been attacking and killing people in the camp next to Connor's village. The search area is marked in green, and there, you will find a dead body with clues for you to investigate. This will summon the wolf responsible for the attacks, and you should quickly turn and face it in readiness for the Quick Time Event. If you miss the first button press, Connor will get attacked by the wolf, which can finish him quickly. After you kill the wolf, skin it and then return to the Frontiersmen camp.

Finding The Sasquatch
For this mission, you are required to track and kill the Sasquatch, a creature that walks on two legs like a man, but with an upper body covered in thick pelt. You will find the search area in the Northwest corner of the Frontier. Find and investigate the first clue, and use Eagle Vision to see where the tracks lead. Follow them until you enter a cave to find the Sasquatch.

The Haunted Lighthouse
This mission involves you visiting an old lighthouse that people are afraid of because it lights up mysteriously, and produces weird sounds. There is a marked search area around the lighthouse. First, climb on top of the lighthouse, where there is a clue for you to investigate.

The Headless Horseman
There is a story about a Hessian whose head was blown off by a cannonball in the battlefield, but didn't die. He now rides around, cutting off peoples' heads as he searches for his own. Your mission is to stop him, and you will find the marked search area South of Concord, in the Frontier. Use Eagle Vision to find one of the dead bodies (they appear gold) and investigate it. A cutscene will soon follow.

The Sea Monster
Go to one of the Frontiersmen Taverns located in Boston. Listen in on the story about the sea monster, then head to the Northern part of Boston to eavesdrop on three Frontiersman markers located along the harbor. Next, follow the green dot to find a widow in a cemetery. Talk to her and then go to the workshop, where you will find various clues to help you solve the mystery.

The Unidentified Flying Object
To get this mission, start by going to the Frontiersman tavern. Listen to the story then go find the Frontiersman marker in the Western part of Boston. Climb the tree that has the marker over it to find an umbrella on its branches. To get up the tree, get on top of the little outhouse then jump on to the tree from there. After that, jump from tree to tree until you reach the clue.
