Darksiders 2: Secondary Adventures

Together with a nice set of story related missions you will also have a possibility to complete a couple of Side Quests. They are not obligatory and will still let you finish the game without completing them but if you plan to unlock all 50 achievements, you will be forced to spend some time working on these two. A greater part of the Side Quests is not hard but might take a lot of time to complete. Below you will find the list of all 21 Side Quests available through the game. These side quests are arranged in alphabetical order per quest giver for your convenience.

Alya
1. The Hammer's Forge
Alya is the main weapons and armor merchant in the Forge Lands and happens to be one of the oldest characters living in the Forge Lands. She will also provide you with lots of main quests but after you complete Cauldren and the Drenchfort, she will ask you to go to the old abandoned forge and bring her brother’s Hammer “Splinter-Bone.” It will be a long walk but you will find it without any problems. Get back to Alya to finish the quest.

Blackroot
2. Sticks and Stones
Enter the Fjord and head west. Follow the Trader Icon on your map and you will find a construct among the vegetation named Blackroot. He will give you an amazingly long and time consuming Side Quest called “Sticks and Stones.” Your task is to collect all the 69 stones. This can be done by shooting them with the help of your gun – Redemption. There are 3 types of Stonebites:
Stone of Mystics (Mystic Stonebites): Blue – 34 items
Stone of Power (Power Stonebites): Red – 25 items
Stone of Resistance (Resistance Stonebites): Yellow – 10 items
While it won’t be easy to locate them all, game developers have made a decision to help you out with the following: when the stonebite is nearby, you should hear a low humming noise that kind of reminds a long chime. Usually, stonebites are hanging overhead. So, when you enter a new location and hear the sound – look around. When you spot the stonebite – aim and shoot it with Redemption in order to collect it.
The good thing about stonebites is that they will bring you some profit. Collect at least three of those and give them back to Blackroot. Instead he will treat you with a reward. Here’s what you might get for being persistent:
Rewards for Stonebite combination
3 Stones of Mystics = 5 Arcane boost
3 Stones of Power = 5 Strength
3 Stones of Resistance = 20 Resistance
2 Mystic, 1 Power = 2% Arcane Crit Chance
2 Mystic, 1 Resistance = 10% Arcane Critical Damage
2 Power, 1 Mystic = 2% Critical Chance
2 Power, 1 Resistance = 10% Critical Damage
2 Resistance, 1 Mystic = 20 Wrath
2 Resistance, 1 Power = 20 Defense
1 Power, 1 Mystic, 1 Resistance = 30 Health

Draven
3. The Bloodless
Note: this Side Quest will be at your disposal only if you have the “Death Rides” DLC pack.
Draven is an undead warrior in the Eternal Throne. He also happens to be the weapons master that is very convenient. You should see Draven standing in a circle with a few other spirits when you arrive to talk to the Lord of Bones. He will be jumping around practicing some moves. Get closer and talk to him. He will give you the Side Quest called “Bloodless.” Also, you will receive a very useful Talisman from him. When equipped it allows you to see and defeat The Bloodless. All in all there are 6 x Bloodless:
- you will find 3 of them in the Forge Lands and;
- the other 3 will be in the Kingdom of the Dead.
Bloodless is a black monster glowing in green. It is really easy to recognize him and pretty easy to kill.
Forge Land Locations
1. Stonefather's Vale. You will find the first Bloodless in the north-eastern part of the vale. This is the very same place where the Book of the Dead page was located.
2. Baneswood. The second Bloodless will be in the small path between Baneswood and the Charred Pass. First of all find an arch in the south eastern portion of Baneswood and pass under. After the arch, head to the hill with the ruins on the top. Bloodless will be here.
3. The Fjord. At the end of the Fjord you will spot a main ruin. It will be right in the center. Use your Death Grip to climb up the ruins. When on the second level – equip the amulet to locate the third Bloodless.

Kingdom of the Dead Locations
4. Lair of the Deposed King. When you appear inside the dungeon, head to the basement which is floor B2 on the map. There will be two large and square like rooms on the floor. Check the eastern one and you should spot the fourth Bloodless there.
5. Mistmount. First of all – go to the Serpent's Peak. Find a pathway leading away from the base into a dead-end. It’s curved so you can spot it on the map easily. Follow the route and in an open outdoor area you will face the fifth Bloodless.
6. Boneriven. Head to the Sentinel's Gaze. In order to move further you will have to solve a puzzle which requires Soul Splitter. At the top behind the chest you will find a hole leading into Boneriven. Jump into it, finish the dungeon and at the end of it you will face the last, sixth Bloodless.
As far as they do not appeared marked on the map, you might find the following video useful.

Karn
4. Lost and Found
Note: this Side Quest will be at your disposal only if you have the “Death Rides” DLC pack.
Karn is one of the oldest characters in the Darksiders world. Unfortunately, lots of other heroes see him as a total failure and screw up and very often he is referred to as “Pup”. After you talk to him he will give you a 3 part Side Quest. In each of these parts you will have to find a certain item and turn it back to Karn.

Lost and Found Part 1: Karn's Silver Platter
Right before you plan to enter the Cauldren dungeon – talk to Karn. He will be standing the right of the bridge. After you talk to him he will ask you to locate his Silver Platter from inside the dungeon. Now, with another quest in the list, enter the Cauldren dungeon. In order to locate the Silver Platter you will have to set the “The Lost and Found” quest to “Active.” When you enter the dungeon, pull up your map. Check out the room at the most southern part. It will have a pit and an outcrop in it. This is a smelter room. Towards the south in the room mentioned on the table next to the stairs you are going to find the Silver Platter.

Lost and Found Part 2: Karn's Helmet
You will encounter Karn on your way to the Drenchfort again, just before you enter the Fjord. Now he will ask you to find his helmet. If you want to make things a bit easier – set this quest to active and it should pinpoint the item for you. Enter the Drenchfort dungeon and go into the eastern wing. Now you will have an option to either go straight or to go right (that is “south” on the map). Well – go South. You will locate the required item (Karn's Helmet) in the room that is kind of a circular/rounded off square. This is the exact same room where you’ll be fighting with the enemy called “Earth Crag.” Also, there are two chests in here, so do not forget to loot them.

Lost and found part 3: Karn's Compass
You will meet Karn for the last time when you arrive at the Lost Temple. He will be standing outside. This time you will be asked to retrieve the last item – Karn’s Compass. If you want to make things a bit easier – set this quest to “Active” and it should pinpoint the item for you.
Usually, every dungeon looks like a long series of rooms. This one is not an exception and its rooms will go from East to West. Just move forward checking every room (if you want to) and stop when you reach halfway. Now, on the southern side you should see an outcrop of rooms that is larger than the rest. Enter these rooms and keep walking it southern and then in eastern directions until you find yourself in a room with a fountain/alter in the center. In the back you will see a gigantic tree. Karn’s Compass will be lying in the center of the room right on the fountain/alter.
After you find Karn’s last item, get back to him and close the quest. For your effort Karn is going to give you a new gauntlet to use called Gauntlets of Savagery.

Muria
You will meet Muria for the first time in one of the gazebos in Tri-Stone. She is the blindfolded maker and sells charms. She will also offer you to complete two Side Quests: “Shaman's Craft” and “Spark of Life.”

5. Shaman's Craft
Speak with Muria for the first time in Tri-Stone and ask her about her craft. It will make her ask Death to retrieve 3 items from which she will make an amazingly powerful amulet. This is how you are going to get your first Side Quest from Muria called “Shaman's Craft.”
Your task is to collect three items. To do so you will have to kill three bosses:
1. Stalker Bone: Received from killing a Stalker;
2. Mordent Dew: Received from killing a Stinger;
3. Carven Stone: Received from killing a Construct Sentinel.
It might be a good idea to find Karn and ask him a few things about every creature. If you have problems locating him – refer to the previous side missions “Lost and Found.”
Note: you need to collect all the items strictly in the order listed, otherwise – you won’t get anything. After collecting each item – return to Karn and start looking for the next one. As you progress on the missions Karn will also move to the next major location and if you have problems finding him – just follow the main quest.
1. Stalker Bone: Received from killing a Stalker
When exploring The Cauldron you are likely to come across a circular room with a lone Stalker. Well, just keep fighting with him and defeat the creature. This shouldn’t take long as well as it shouldn’t be hard. After he falls dead you will get your achievement. However, there are reports that collecting Stalker Bone might get glitchy. Well, in this case try to find another Stalker and kill him. Get back to Karn and ask him about the next item.
2. Mordent Dew: Received from killing a Stinger
This is actually really easy to get. After you finish talking with Karn, ride through the Shadow Gorge and shortly you are going to face some prowlers and stingers. Kill at least one stinger and it will drop Mordent Dew. Pick it up and get back to Karn.
3. Carven Stone: Received from killing a Construct Sentinel
Enter the Lost Temple and almost immediately you are going to appear in a big room with lots of doors. In this room you will have to fight with a floating enemy called the Construct Sentinel. In general, the enemy is really easy to be taken down. However, it uses shield and when it’s on (yellow light) – you won’t be able to cause any damage. But, just wait for this guy to lower the shield and shoot with your gun or slice him with your close combat weapon. The best strategy so far is to walk around keeping the distance and shoot him when the shield is lowered. Killing the Construct Sentinel will automatically award you with the last material - Carven Stone. If you have problems finding Construct Sentinels – try to search for them in the other rooms.
Get back to Muria and talk to her. This will close the Side Quest.

6. Spark of Life
After you finish the first Side Quest from Muria and unlock the Deathgrip ability, talk to her again. She will tell you a very sensitive story about her attempt to make a construct without using her soul. Unfortunately, she failed and that creature has turned into a real monster. Now it is called Ghorn and, obviously, you are supposed to pay Ghorn a visit. You will locate him in the Charred Pass. On your way to Ghorn you will have to kill some enemies and solve a couple of puzzles but they are pretty intuitive and can be done in no time. A great part of the level you will spend on a Construct which will make fighting the bad guys easier too. Even if Ghorn looks scary for you – don’t mention and just keep hitting him. As it appears – he is an easy target to get. When done – Fast Travel to Muria and talk to her. When the conversation is over – another successful Side Quest will be yours.

Nathaniel
7. The Lost Soul
Nathaniel is an angel residing in Lostlight. He defends the Crystal Tower and is devoted to the wisdom and teachings of The Archon. Speak to him and Death will be asked to carry a scroll to the Eternal Throne. Go there and speak to the Chancellor and Death. He should give you another Side Quest “The Chancellor's Quarry.” Fast Travel back to Lostlight and deliver all the fresh news to Nathaniel. He will ask you to consult the blind seer in the Forge Lands. And again – travel to Tri-Stone in the Forge Lands and this time talk to Muria. Return to Nathaniel in Lostlight for that last time and after you talk to him the Side Quest will appear completed.

Oran
Oran can be found in the southern area of the Fjord in the Forge Land. Oran is a construct and happens to be one of a few wardens that hadn’t been called to Earth during the Apocalypse. Nowadays he is initially dormant and won’t cause any harm. One you obtain the Maker's Key, you can reawaken Oran and receive three quests from him: “Silent Stone,” “The Wandering Stone” and “Makers Chronicle.”

8. Silent Stone
This is kind of a passive quest because Oran won’t give it to you but you will likely take it from him. As it was mentioned above – Oran is a sleeping giant and you need Maker's Key to awake him. You will find Oran In the middle of the map to the southwest of the harbor. Examine the giant and receive your Side Quest. After you complete the story related “Drenchfort” quest, you will receive the story item – Maker's Key. This key allows you to wake up sleeping constructs. Now, Fast Travel to the Fjord, find Oran and wake him up with this key. This will automatically finish your present quest and will offer you to start a new one called “The Wandering Stone.”

9. The Wandering Stone
After a little chitchat with Oran you are going to get the next Side Quest from him. Your task is to find all the missing parts of his body and activate them. All in all there are 4 of them.
1. Left Arm: The Scar
You will find Oran’s Left Arm in the South Eastern part of the map – East of the Cauldron. You can go there either using Fast Travel or ride on horse. As for the limb – it will be lying directly ahead of the entrance. Get closer and activate it.
2. Left Leg: Baneswood
You will find Left Leg near a small ruin on the unnamed southeastern trail leading to the Charred Pass. Get closer and activate it.
3. Right Arm: Shadow Gorge
Fast travel to the Shattered Forge and follow the path back to the middle of the gorge. You will see the Right Arm blocking half of the path. It is really hard to miss. Get closer and activate it.
4. Right Leg: The Fjord
You are going to find Oran’s Right Leg in the southeastern part of the Fjord. Fast travel to the Drenchfort and follow the path back. The limb will be on the left side as you make your way out. Get closer and activate it.
Now, when you have all 40 body parts activated, return to Oran and complete the Side Quest.

10. Makers Chronicle
Note: Note: this Side Quest will be at your disposal only if you have the “Death Rides” DLC pack.
After you finish the “Wandering Stone” Side Quest (and if you happen to have the already mentioned DLC pack), Oran will assign you another one. In the dialogue he will mention a lost item called the Maker's Chronicle. The item itself has been lost for ages but Oran still hopes to turn it back to Muria but with your help, of course. Well, Fast Travel to Tri-Stone and talk with Muria. She will tell you that she has no idea where the Maker's Chronicle is but she has an interesting item that will help you to locate it. However, you will have to do her a favor first: collect 6 life seeds for her practices. You won’t have any problems obtaining those because life seeds are pretty common in enemies you kill. The best place to gather those is the Fjord or Drenchfort. There you will find constantly respawning enemies of the required type. Just keep on killing them and collect the required number of seeds. When you have enough – head back to Muria and in exchange on your seeds she will give you the Lodestone. The Lodestone allows you to locate the Maker's Chronicle. Set this new quest as Active and fast travel to Baneswood. You will find the Chronicle there. Get back to Oran to finish the quest.

Ostegoth
Ostegoth is a member of a race that has been instinct for ages and now is remembered only by those who have beards older than themselves. In the game you will meet this man of wisdom at the Tree of Death, when the Horseman transports you to the Kingdom of the Dead. A character of Ostegoth features a merchant. Also, he will be the one to give you the “Lost Relics” Side Quest.

11. Lost Relics
Your task is to find lost relicts scattered all over the map. It will take some time but you can collect them while doing other missions including those directly connected with the main story. All in all there are 30 relicts in the game:
- 15 Etu-Goth (the most common relic and can be sold to Ostegoth for 3000 gilt each);
- 10 Renagoth (can be sold to Ostegoth to earn permanent HP and wrath increase);
- 5 Khagoth (sell this to Ostegoth and earn 1 free skill point).
When you get them all – get back to Ostegoth to report your success.

Relics of Etu-Goth Locations Guide
Relic #1

Relic #2

Thane
12. The Maker Warrior
Thane is a member of the Makers race and happens to be an Old One. In the game he is the trainer in the village of Tri-Stone. Death can interact with this NPC and acquire new combat moves from him. Also, challenge him for a duel (but after buying all the good stuff) and if you win – you will get a couple of Side Quests. After your victorious play Thane will ask you to defeat a few other enemies: Achidna, Bheithir, Gorewood and The Deposed King. Note: the following four Side Quests will become available ONLY if you win the fight with Thane.

13. Find and Kill Achidna
Achidna will be the first Side Quest boss from Thane’s adventure you will have to face and fight with. The trick is that unlike any other Side Quest boss, she can’t be beaten whenever you think is comfortable. Just on the contrary – she is a part of the main quest and can’t be missed that, obviously, makes everything a lot easier. Achidna is the last boss in the Psychameron but she won’t be an easy target considering an amazing support from Basileus.

14. Find and Kill Bheithir
Bheithir is another Side Quest boss that you are supposed to defeat. However, in order to access him you will have to obtain Deathgrip first. After that you can easily find this guy in the Nook dungeon. To get there you will have to travel to the Nook and make your way to the main court yard. If you’ve completed the dungeon before – you can take the door on the right hand side of the first room and follow it down. When you appear in the court yard – look for a stream of lava in the corner. Follow the door next to it. Bheithir will be flying around the room in front of you. Use Deathgrip to make your way over to the platform and start a fight. The fight itself will be pretty simple. The only thing that really makes it complicated is a narrow platform. That is why there are two methods you can use to fight the boss:
1. Use Redemption and shoot the boss repeatedly. But this will take a while considering the minor damage that method causes. But, if you have time and find it comfortable – go ahead. It might be a good idea to roll past the frontal melee and try attacking Bheithir from behind. Just make sure that you can dodge the tail swipe. If you attack from the front – Bheithir’s flame breath will coat the platform and cause some serious damage to your character. However, do not forget about the wooden ledges – they will allow you to dodge both of these attacks. Despite your expectations – jumping off the edge doesn't kill you! It is a very effective way of dodging every attack. But, you can respawn in the fire trail if it’s still on the stage plus jumping off the edge makes the fight last a lot longer: Bheithir will leave the stage and you will be forced to wait for him to get back.
If you are fighting this monster on Apocalyptic difficulty, do not forget to take advantage of the Teleport Slash. As far as fighting Bheithir from the back is one of the best strategies, you might wanna use that opportunity as much as possible. However, just getting there might be very complicated, especially – on Apocalyptic difficulty. Therefore, use Teleport Slash and this should solve the problem. Also, not only will it do all the work for you but also will recover a bit of your health which is just amazing in a situation like this.
2. Another great way to kill Bheithir is to use the following strategy. Well, it can hardly be called one because it allows you to get rid of the monster in the easiest of the possible ways without even getting hurt. So, here’s what you need to do: when fighting Bheithir, lure her to the right side of the platform. Do not forget to lock on her as a target. This will allow you to walk backwards. With a perfect timing and skillful walking you should fall onto a little lip on the edge of the platform. Now shoot her from that position as long as possible. The trick is that she won’t be able to get you there even with the breathing fire. When she starts flying, a cut scene will appear on your screen notifying you about a successful kill.

15. Find and Kill Gorewood
Gorewood is another optional boss from the “The Maker Warrior” Side Quest that you will have to fight with. Gorewood can be found in the optional dungeon called the Weeping Crag. There is nothing complicated about fighting Gorewood: just avoid his front attacks and dodge the vines he shoots out. However, it might not be a good idea to go and see him before you become good at dodging. On the lower levels Gorewood is a hard target to compete with. If you have the Teleport Slash – do not forget to use it. When the fight is over – do not forget to collect the treasure and the Power Stone located in the back of the lair.

16. Find and Kill The Deposed King
The Deposed King is also known as Argul and you will easily find him in the Lair of the Deposed King that is located in the main plains area of the Kingdom of the Dead. However, I do not recommend to go out there before you reach at least Level 17 otherwise you won’t be able to cause him enough damage and one accidental but precise attack will likely kill you. So, before we start sharing the tips, let’s take a look at Argul’s attacks.
1) Charge Mace is Argul’s favorite and most common attack but at the same time it opens a great opportunity for you to cause him a lot of damage. It looks like this: Argul will hold his mace for a couple of seconds and then will drop it on the ground freezing anything near him. In order to avoid his attacks you can do the following: wait for him to drop the mace and then, when it’s stuck, get behind him and start smashing with everything you have.
2) Shield Bash can be very dangerous if you won’t notice it beforehand. It looks like this: Argul slams his shield into the ground and slides towards you. If you’re standing on his way, he will likely smash you away. Well, it’s pretty easy to dodge but still try to be as careful as possible.
3) Regular Mace Attacks can be avoided easily. During them Argul uses a trio of mace smashes.
4) Spin Attack is Argul’s most aggressive and user’s most hated attack. When the Ice Monster loses a fourth to half of his health, he will get a second or two to prepare and then will spin in your direction. The easiest way to stay alive and avoid direct hitting is to stay as far as possible and when he starts spinning – dodge in opposite direction.
Strategy and Tips
Use all the possible fire skills and equipment you have. He is made of ice and the opposite element will cause a lot of damage – trust me. Also, before diving into the fight, do not forget to get as many potions as possible and prepare those skills and moves that recover your health.
Now, start the fight by approaching Argul. Never get close to him while going through the middle: always use either right or left wall. This will give you lots of space for maneuvering. He will likely start his fight with the Charge Mace. When you see his mace in the air – try to dodge behind his back because when the mace falls down – it will freeze everything nearby. For those few seconds when the mace is stuck in the ground – hit Argul as hard as possible. Do not try to attack Argul when his mace is still in the air: this will only provoke him to counterattack with the enormous shield.
The second phase of Argul’s attacks is based on spinning: he will raise his mace in the sky and fist pump two or three times. After that expect him to spin in your direction. This phase should come after Argul loses around a fourth to half of his health. The best way to avoid this getting hit during Spin Attack is to get as far from him as possible and send your character in the room’s corner. When the spin is on – dodge into the opposite side. As a rule, every Spin Attack is followed by the Charge Mace, so keep that in mind. Roll behind and attack him. When you finally kill the monster, do not forget to pick up the gold and his powerful mace.

Uriel
18. Light of the Fallen
Uriel is an angel and the leader of the Hellguard and leads the remainder of Heaven's forces in the ongoing war with Hell on the destroyed Earth. Uriel's Side Quest is called “Light of the Fallen” and it is likely to start the very same moment you enter the earth realm (it will begin automatically). Your task is to free 10 trapped Hellguards who are scattered all around the Earth. In order to do so you are supposed to shoot their cages. When all 10 are free to go, do not forget to get back to Uriel to receive your reward. You will find Corrupted Hellguard Locations in the description below.
1. This Hellguard should be pretty easy to find: after talking to Uriel for the first time, make your way through the northern streets and a Hellguard will be trapped in a side wall. Shoot him and grant mercy from the Corruption. If you are fighting with a large blue/yellow monster aka Suffering – you’ve gone too far.
2. After the first flight of stairs and upon entering the subway look around. There is the second trapped Hellguard on the wall. He is really easy to miss. Kill him and move forward.
3. You will locate the third Hellguard trapped to the side of the corridor shortly after the first flight of stairs and the second Hellguard. You will see him after descending the second flight of stairs.
4. In the center portion of the 1st floor map you will come across an area right after getting the map. This will be the place where you can go either straight or left. Head straight and then turn right. Now run to the end of the street and you will find a relic there. At this point turn around and as you head back to where you came from look around and you shall see the next Hellguard trapped in a wall. Kill him to grant mercy from the Corruption.
5. This one is really hard to miss because he does not always appears on the place he is supposed to be. Well, he is there but the glitch keeps him from being seen by you. So, after claiming the map head south; when you are out on a wide street – do not rush down right away. Make a few steps until you reach the skyscraper’s wall and turn on 180. Raise your head and start moving right getting to the middle of the street. Keep looking up and on the destroyed rooftop you should see the fifth Hellguard.
6. Fight and defeat the Noss on the wide street > keep moving along the map > follow through the long curving street > reach a large rectangular area that leads to tunnels and contains broken walkways > check out the southeastern corner of the area and you will see the sixth Hellguard trapped on a broken walkway. You know what to do next.
7. Keep progressing through the level using your map for guidance until you reach the next curve in the map. This will be a very large tunnel filled with cars. Blow up the cars > fight all of the enemies > check out a small passage way to the south > you will find the seventh Hellguard there. Kill him and head north.
8. Further on you will face Noss – another monster that has to be defeated. Kill him and run to the south western section of this area afterwards. The next Hellguard will be trapped not far from the chest.
9. Face and fight the third Noss > proceed half way across the bridge and turn around > Look up at the right stone support of the bridge > locate another Hellguard and kill him.
10. After the area where you can find the Fists of Elhazar and in the most northern room on the second floor of the hotel you will locate the last Hellguard trapped on the floor.
To complete the quest you will have to get back to Uriel and report about the work done. She will grant you with the secondary weapon called Sunder.

You will find this Book Page on the eastern side of Lilith's chamber at its far end.
38. Location: The Black Stone.
Claim the map in the past > climb to the top of the circular pit > you will spot the Book Page right outside the top of the pit.
39. Location: The Black Stone.
Check out the map in the present > search for room that looks like an E at the bottom left corner of the first floor (this is the place that brought you the skeleton key). As you can see – there are 3 small squares that lead to a larger square right above the E room. With the help of a portal get to the large room > search near some black corruption. The Book Page is there.
40. Location: The Black Stone.
You will find the last Book Page in the present. Make your way to Samael's chamber and progress the game by continually going from the past to the present. At a certain point you will have to enter the Great Foyer for the final time. You will find a few portals that are lower down just before entering the throne room. Open the west warp portal > look for another portal to the east. If you did everything right, these portals will take you to the 40th Book Page.

20. Death Tomb Locations
All in all there are 4 Death Tombs in the game that you must open. They are a lot like treasure rooms and have lots of great things inside: new gear, special items and else. It is pretty easy to identify Death Tomb because they have big doors with a dragon statue above and colored gems on the door. In order to open this door you will have to collect 10 “Book of the Dead Pages.” After you have enough, go to Vulgrim and sell them to him. He will give you a key instead. To open all Death Tombs you will have to collect 40 “Book of the Dead Pages.”

Location 1: The Nook (Forge Lands)
Requires 10 “Book of the Dead Pages” to be opened.
To get to the first Death Tomb, fast travel to Lost Temple entrance and head south. You will find the door there. Once inside – take your time and collect everything you can find. Also, do not forget destroy the weapon stands, break all of the pots and pull the statue out from the middle. You will find a unique Blade Master talisman inside.
Location 2: Lair of the Deposed King
Requires 20 “Book of the Dead Pages” to be opened.
You will find the second Death Tomb at the very bottom of the Lair of the Deposed King. Enter the lair and keep going down the stairs until you reach the very bottom door. Destroy chests, pick up gold and do not forget to pick up the Demonheart Talisman.
Location 3: Lostlight
Requires 30 “Book of the Dead Pages” to be opened.
The third Death Tomb is near the Vulgrim shop. You will see this door on your left as you travel forward. Enter the tomb and claim some chests, two boatman coins and the last but not the least – Hoardseeker Talisman.
Location 4: Shadow's Edge
Requires 40 “Book of the Dead Pages” to be opened.
When you get here, travel towards Black Stone and you will see this door to your right. Here you will find lots of great things including a relic, two stones of power and a powerful secondary weapon – the Spear of Storms.
If you have some problems collecting “Book of the Dead Pages,” check out the second video to locate them all.

The Crucible
As all the Side Quests, The Crucible is an optional quest you may or may not complete. The Crucible itself is a combat arena divided into four stages. Every stage consists of 25 waves of enemies that you are supposed to survive. If you die during the stage – you will have to replay it from the very beginning. If you die after you complete the stage, you will start from the 26, 51 or 76 waves correspondingly. Also, completing every stage will bring you a very special reward worth fighting for. And, there are loot chests that appear every 5 waves but if you open at least one – your streak will be over.
Note: you need to download or redeem a Crucible Pass before you can access the Crucible! Crucible Pass can be found on the back of the game manual. If you do not happen to have one – purchase it from the marketplace. Also, “The Crucible” won’t be at your disposal from the very beginning and you will have to progress through the game until you defeat the Guardian. Once you’re done – visit a tome. In the tome you will be able to start the quest.

Stage 5: Wave 101. Recommended for level 30.
You will get a possibility to fight this enemy after completing all of the Crucible waves in one visit. Once Wicked K becomes available in the wave options – select him and start the fight. If you do everything right, you will see a big structure rising. Climb the structure and get on the top of it. At a certain point the game can get glitchy here. If it does – go ahead and reload. The good news is that once you unlock the right to fight Wicked K, you will always have the option to do that. Wicked K is very extraordinary character and I did enjoy his British manners during the fight. And even despite the fact that he blocks a lot – you won’t have any problems killing him fast and easy.

21. GnoMAD's Gnomes
This is another side quest that is strictly dependent on collectibles. Your task is to collect Gnome figurines. All in all there are 4 of those. This is a secret side quest that can only be triggered as soon as you get one of the GnoMAD Gnomes scattered around the game. The very same moment you pick up the very first gnome, the “GnoMAD's Gnomes” quest will start.

1. Gnome Figurine #1. Location: City of the Dead
You will find the very first Gnome figurine in the City of the Dead. Reach the balcony in the upper levels. Step on the pressure plate in order to reveal and flip the hand-holds. Have one soul stay hanging on that flipping hand-hold. Now switch to the other soul to release the plate. This will cause the hand-hold flip back inside the walls. Again – switch back to the hanging soul and loot the secret chamber. There you will find your first Gnomad Gnome.
2. Gnome Figurine #2. Location: Ivory Citadel
This will be pretty easy to get: purify the water in the Western Tower and then check the Northern cavern. You will find the second Gnomad Gnome there.
3. Gnome Figurine #3. Location: Weeping Crag
Open the only portal in the dungeon to access the secret treasure trove. Swim in the shallows, northern pool then swim south. Before the water outlet you will find the third Gnomad Gnome.
4. Gnome Figurine #3. Location: The Black Stone
Recover the Skeleton Key in the Past > Return to the Present > Climb the western balcony > Enter the Door. It will lead you to the fourth and the last Gnomad Gnome.
