Just got the Xbox 1 and I'm trying to decide how I want to hook everything up cable wise. I can save a port on my HDMI switch box if I can run my satellite box through the xbox console, but I'm not sure if I want to do that.
Say I ran my sat box through the console, would I be able to leave the console off and just turn on my sat box and tv to watch satellite? Or since the sat box is run through the console would I have to turn on the console and negotiate watching sat tv by somehow dealing with menus on the console.
Basically if I can't just leave the xbox off and use it as a dumb pass-through I'll prob end up not running my sat box through the xbox.
