For me, my "wow" moment actually happened months before I got my 360. A friend of mine that I worked with had just bought the 360 and got the first Dead Rising along with it. At the time, I watched him play that game and my jaw just dropped... then I got a chance to play it. It was so amazing - something I had never, ever experienced before. The feeling of actually being able to use anything you can pick up on them. It was awesome!

I didn't have the money to pick one up at the time, but I wanted one sooooo bad! When I finally had the money, that was the first game I bought. I still get giddy to this day when I play that game. That will forever be one of my favorite gaming moments!

How about you?

Hmmm... my "wow" moment. I think it was the dashboard because prior I had only owned a PS2 and we all know how friendly and attractive that is. I quickly got over this and COD4 became my "wow". COD4 is the first title I bought for my 360 and the graphics, campaign cinematics and near perfect (for its time) multiplayer mesmerized me. I must say though that it's most likely the game more than the console that wowed me.

I think my original wow moment wit the 360 was the graphics! But I mean this was like what 8 years ago now? It came out in 2005 right? Well at the time I worked at Gamestop so even the games I wasn't buying I was still able to play and all the games just had the best graphics ever! Put the Xbox to shame! Even Kameo, remember that launch title? Had amazing graphics! The sports games were and still are the most realistic ever. I'm really big on graphics, I have a super nice TV and sit in optimal viewing range not where my living room thinks I should sit. I do the same wit my video games, I don't play my Wii often cause the graphics aren't cool enough. I have that one basically for my kid and for when we have a large group of people over for fun.

When I first bought my first Xbox 360 I was still heavily into Halo 2, but I was most impressed by the controller feeling a lot better and being able to play my favorite game still. The slimmer controller really made a huge difference for me, I'd probably call that my wow moment. It probably took Halo 3 to come out for me to notice the graphics because I didn't play much else haha. I also played Viva Pinata at first, which had cutesy but still pretty nice graphics.

So I have a stack of games beside me and I go ennie-meanie-minnie-moe: ah-ha! Mass Effect. Brand new - pull off the wrapping and pop it in - it's my birthday (literally) and Christmas has come early! And... wow... just wow - the dashboard was nice, but when the game came up I thought... I had no thoughts only glee. It was all too awesome. I was such a happy child (who happened to be a legal adult with a great deal of expendable cash). I have grown cynical and that saddens me.

I nearly pissed my pants when I found out you could stream videos/movies from your computer to your xbox. I didn't have to watch videos on such a small monitor anymore. It's such an amazing feature and I make use of it all the time.

I think for me it was when I first turned on the Xbox. It seemed like a new discovery and experience. It overwhelmed me so much. I don't know why I got so excited. I think I might be slightly crazy. Also when I started playing multiplayer of COD for the first time was a wow moment. It seemed like a new world to me.

My wow moment was the day I purchased Elder Scrolls Oblivion. I had never seen graphics so superior in my life. I knew the capabilities of the 360 when I purchased it, but that game in particular let me see what the 360 could be. The graphics along with the massive amount of content available forced me into playing hours upon hours. As it all progressed, Call of Duty 4 got me hooked. It took the world by storm honestly. The online feature was awesome, the game play was smooth and many people were playing, so it became extremely enjoyable for me. I feel like it set the standard for first person shooter games.
