Xbox 360 What's the strangest or most interesting rumor that you heard about the Xbox 360?

With all the speculation about the Xbox One, I started wondering about the kinds of rumors that circulated before the Xbox 360's release. What kinds of things did people say were going to happen? What are the most outlandish things you heard about the 360 before it was released? I think the only rumor I remember hearing about it was that you'd be able to install games to the hard drive and be able to play them from it, which ended up being mostly true. However, I heard that you'd be able to rent a game, install it on your hard drive, and then be able to play the game after returning it. I realize there are illegal mods which may do something similar, but the rumor I heard implied that it was an official function of the console.

What other kinds of things did you guys hear about? Did any of those rumors have any truth to them?

I have heard that the Xbox one would have backwards compatibility all the way through to the first Xbox. Of course this has proven to be false and I'm not really surprised. It is a shame though that it isn't going to have backwards compatibility, I think Microsoft would have greatly increased their sales margin if it was, and I know they have the technology to have made it possible too! I also heard it also fries eggs and bacon... (no I'm only joking about that one, lol)

Haven't heard any strange rumors from what I've heard, since I didn't really keep up with the 360 news.

I remember back when the initial Xbox 360 news was being released all my friends were saying that it was going to be a spherical device. They were incredibly disappointed when it was finally released and it wasn't round at all.
