Xbox Live. Is it a rip off?

Why pay for it? I joined Bing Rewards (now Microsoft Rewards) 2~3 years ago and haven't had to pay for it since. Granted you do have to use Bing rather than Google or Yahoo etc. and you have to be logged in but for me this isn't a hardship. I've even installed Bing on my smartphone so I can get credit there as well. Work that system!
 
I don't personally use Live, but I find it funny when people complain about paying for it. If people didn't like the service, they wouldn't pay for it. There are other options. Sony has a very similar product with free online. The fact that people still use Live means that they feel it is worth paying for instead of jumping ship to Sony.
That is so true. It is just a simple matter of leaving and using another option if you're not happy with the service, but few ever do. I think that speaks for itself.
