I've seen news about a new program made free that lets you create your own 3D models with ease. So that made me think: what if there's an app that lets us create our own 3D face with the Kinect? Thoughts?

I think the tech is already integrated on Xbox One as part of kinect's feature but an app would not hurt.

Why not? But what would be it's purpose?

That'd be cool. But like what knives0302 said, what's the purpose? But maybe it could be integrated with Project Spark, so you know, you can integrate yourself in the game? I'd like that. :-D

I'd like this one, as long as there's a reason for it. If it's just to create 3D faces that have nothing to do but mimic the weird expression you make, ah, well, the novelty will die out.

Wow, wow... Mr. PJ are we? Hahahah, you must've enjoyed playing PJ to even think of this app being integrated into the game. Well, why not? Project Spark games would definitely rock with new faces ;-D

Hahahaha. Well, you're looking to be the creator of PJ games eh? Yeah, I agree with this.

I agree. There isn't enough excitement in making a 3D face in general, but if it serves a purpose like maybe doing this for a game why not.

This app could be used by sketch artists on identifying criminals. well it could also be used for making cool animations.

Haha. Yeah, I think this would be more efficient for identifying criminals and not for actual gaming purposes.

Yo, that's a great idea! Identifying a criminal. It can even give us the ideas of the expressions, the subtlety and everything else.

I can see something like FBI working on the same tech.

Yup, the FBI can use this to their advantage. Not just the face-indicators but also the scan of the villain. Well, those sketches can be used to full extent.

Yup, that's true. It'll be easier to find that criminal that they need to find. Lots of potential!

Oh yeah. Criminology can use this. After all, somebody has been able to recreate faces from DNA samples so with the Kinect, boom! Education excels!

Education and gaming can make it happen. They can make a game where the students have to make a 3d pic of what they see on the screen in a glance.

This would be really nice. I could imagine cops doodling on Xbox One just to get an exact match for the criminal.
