Xbox One ac5: main character leak

I felt the last 2 AC games were relatively light on the parkour action compared with the Ezio ones, but probably this one will return the series to its roots. The architecture of that period is perfect for some rooftop fun.

I wonder if Ubisoft leaks stuff on purpose. Everything they do is leaked!

Well, I was thinking, if the game will be set in France, during the French Revolution, then how about the naval combat? I mean its the best part of AC IV. I'm quite curious on where they're going on with the franchise, I mean the previous games are great but its kind of getting really old, I mean they did try something different in Liberation, I mean the story approach, I wonder what the next entries would be like.

It was reported officially there's no naval combat. There is rumor however that the last-gen AC game will have naval combat. So yeah, don't expect to be fighting ships here for AC UNITY. Not gonna happen.

Hmm. Sounds intriguing but I'm already thinking of laying off the game. Unless I see a decent trailer of how cool it will be.

Me too. We don't even know how much of the AC is going to change here. Better wait for that trailer.

I'm surprised they aren't keeping the Edward character around for another game before AC5, I think it was pretty well received and he is in a pretty fun setting.
They didn't do it after AC3 because that game was horrible and people generally hated it but this seems like a wasted opportunity to me.

so the game is called unity and is avaliable for pre order @gamestop. seen it last night browsing.

Although Edward was a good character, I don't think Ubisoft will be able another trilogy of games based on a single character like they did with Ezio. Assassin's Creed games are being released yearly and many players are starting to feel franchise fatigue. They have to change things up as much as they can in every single iteration. If they can't change gameplay substantially, they have at least to change characters and settings.

Man, I'm feeling the franchise fatigue rmario is saying here. Yeah, I'm feeling like it is a wasted opportunity as well. Unity? More like "Disconti-UNITY"! Well, we'll see how the game goes.

I definitely felt that way after AC3, I had no interest in AC4 until it actually released and I saw some proper footage, but once I got it and played it, I was hooked!
I definitely wouldn't mind another pirate-themed game, but where would you guys like them to send the series over to? Feudal Japan? Vikings? I don't think they have that many options, they need to milk each setting for what they can.

I really believe that AC4 was meant to be an entirely different game, but Ubisoft didn't want to risk another IP when they were doing that with Watch Dogs. Plus a second IP probably would've taken away from AC's slice of the pie. That said, I'm mildly interested in Unity like on a scale of 1-10 I'm at a solid 4. I doubt it will be much different that the bulk of the series, just a different setting, but then again the naval stuff was never the main focus of the series. It was just a distraction from the same old in the last game and kind of in AC3.

...on that note, not really seeing why anyone was hoping for the naval elements to return. I enjoyed it too, but the main thing was always the parkour and assassination elements.

I wasn't able to enjoy AC4 for some reason. It didn't seem that good compared to ac3. Well I hope this new one does the trick.

im still in the air on ac4... i hate it and wont play it for a month but will put it in and enjoy it from time to time.. the parkour still gets to me... and the many many missions of stealth listing/tracking get under my skin.. but i always seem to step back and enjoy the graphicd and carribean view... oncei start saling and ship fighting i start to look past the stuff that bother me and enjoy that aspect of the game. i usually get burnt out or die in a naval battle and quit.. when i start i get back to the story and end up in naval battle... iver and over.... guess its how i will pla the game.

Same here. The whole carribbean thing doesn't work for me.

Honestly would dig this if the setting was in china. Like they're infiltrating the country.

Sending them on a mission to china might be a bit too much. They will be massacred with all the kung fu specialists during that timeline.
