Amazon pegs Xbox One release date Nov 27 (rumor not confirmed)

Microsoft has not made an official announcement yet regarding Xbox One release date. It has merely started taking pre-orders via retailers, Amazon is one of those retailers, and it claims this new console will be released on November 27. Only recently we saw another retailer hinting at PlayStation 4 release date, which is apparently November 13, though Sony also has not made any official announcement regarding the release date of its new console.

I think that everything related to release dates are still speculation and rumor. I just checked a Gizmodo article posted 7 hours ago and they were saying the same thing about the Amazon UK. There are a lot of blogs that talk about both consoles being released in November. I don't think that there's going to be a solid date until the end of summer though. The more people speculate; the better to get attention to that system. I think that its entirely possible both consoles will release in November purely because of the shopping that's done in November for xmas.

Although the release date is November 27th, I would expect my preorder to get to my house between December 10th-20th. Launches like these are always sloppy, especially during the holiday season. It's even rumored that PS4s might not reach pre-orderers until December 31st!

What difference does it make? All the rumors seem to point at late November, so it's likely to be around that time anyway. I guess it's more important for people who pre-ordered since they'd want to get their consoles as soon as possible. Aside from the price and limited game library, one of the things that made me not want to pre-order either console is the lack of a release date.

It is useless to know the release date, because we already know that this will be the end of the year during the month of November.
What is impportant is the time interval in the release date of the PS4 and Xbox One. This is an important factor!

my xb one os alreadyp re order/payed.. it dosnt matter when exactly or even that ps4 is comming out.

just read an news feed that has cod ghost on a place holder title for nov5
also says their is a possibility they will be game may be out before the system.

With Amazon.com currently stating the release date of Ghosts for November 5th (they call it a placeholder) and BF4 for October 29th, it is highly possible that you’ll be able to buy each game prior to the launches of the PS4 and Xbox One.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Xbox One launched some time in early November. It seems highly likely, at least. November is right before the Holidays and is also a hot-spot of game releases. It'd net them the most sales, probably.
