Anyone else getting screwed redeeming rewards for free month of Ultimate Game Pass?

My rewards page has been suspended for violations that never occurred simply because I redeemed enough reward points that I earned through the app and the Xbox One console for free month of Ultimate Game Pass. Below is a screenshot of the confirmation email that I earned a free month. Now, Xbox is threatening to suspend my account if I don't pay $20 even though I redeemed a free month.

I've considered redeeming some of my reward points but can't really figure out how. It seems that they offer all sorts of "charities" but I would rather buy controllers or other accessories. So I've given up trying. But I was just kicked out of Xbox today and can no longer access my account so I guess it really doesn't matter in my case.
