Hey guys! Just a heads up if you've been playing Borderlands 2 with random people, there is a "Graveyard Virus" that will eliminate your character permanently if you die. Yeah, that's what I said. As in no continuing, no reloading from last save point, no resurrection. You're dead. Period. After playing for days and days, devouring pizza upon pizza, drinking insane amounts of Mountain Dew and a few bags of Doritos, this would quite likely lead the average gamer to temporary insanity. Initially, the problems was thought only to be affecting the Xbox 360, but PC users have been reporting issues as well. As of right now, there seem to be no issues for the PS3.

Gearbox has submitted a patch to Microsoft to fix this problem, so hopefully it will be fixed soon. Main thing is that there is code hidden in the game and some users have exploited it. If you play against any of these players, BOOM-You're no more after you die in-game. Easy way to avoid this issue is to only play with people that you know until this whole debacle has been patched and everything is working properly again. If you're online and see anything that looks suspicious, e-mail spotted@gearboxsoftware.com. You can also check out the discussion board on Gearbox's website to see what's going on and keep up to date on progress. Gamesradar.com has a little write up on how to make sure that you don't lose your saved games as well.
