Original Xbox Console won’t hold power

hi everyone,

my original Xbox has been fine until about five months ago when it suddenly stopped holding power. The power supply cable itself is fine - it works with other xbox consoles without a problem, but when I try to power up this console it will only stay on for a few seconds before turning off itself. The disc drive will open a touch, half way, or even sometimes completely open but then will retreat back to the console and then power off
