Blizzard is gearing up to launch one of its most impactful Diablo 4 updates yet. Set to release on May 14, Patch 2.2.1 promises major improvements across the board for all playable classes. According to the official patch notes, each class will see underpowered abilities receive significant buffs, addressing long-standing balance issues in the game buy Diablo 4 gold.
Among the most affected are the Spiritborn and Barbarian classes, both of which are receiving a wide range of damage increases and functional improvements. For instance, Spiritborn's "Vital Strikes" will now deal 80% vulnerable damage instead of 45%, and "The Protector" will offer more barrier and damage potential.
The Barbarian's overhaul includes changes to key items like Ghor’s Devastating Grips, which will now deal damage based on DPS rather than tick-based metrics—effectively doubling its output. Skills like Twin Strikes are also getting a healthy 40% damage bump.
"The Protector" skill has been significantly buffed, with its base damage increased from 80% to 140% and its barrier scaling now set at 30% of maximum life. Thorns damage at Rank 5 has also been enhanced by 50%, making it more viable in both PvE and PvP scenarios.
This patch may be Blizzard's answer to recent criticism from the community, especially regarding Season 8’s slower progression and lackluster rewards. With every class receiving love, players of all builds should find renewed enjoyment in Diablo 4’s gameplay loop Diablo 4 Boosting.
