Hey guys! Here's an article about the future of Microsoft in regards to going all digital, as well as Kinect and why the Xbox One is worth $100 more than the PS4. The article touches base on wanting to eventually go fully digital only, with the ability buy, loan and resell the digital copies in the future. If you haven't heard about how they were planning to roll that out before the DRM backlash, check it out here on the Xbox site.

You know, I hadn't really ever thought about how LONG I've had my 360. I know some people out there are crabbing about the price and the fact that the PS4 is less expensive, but look-You get Kinect when you buy an Xbox One, which for those of us that bought one for our 360, know that getting Kinect bundled with it makes up for the price difference. Although, I know the Kinect is no PS Move (just kidding-what a waste of money)! When you put the initial price of the One into perspective, basing the cost spread out over the years that we have utilized the 360, it isn't really that bad. Plus, they mentioned that they never really made the 360 to be upgraded, whereas they have for the One.One of the things that's really surprised me is that my Xbox 360 is still in my house right now. It's an eight-year-old device. It's the only eight-year-old piece of technology that I use today. That kind of tail that it's enjoyed is really impressive.
But we didn't build the system anticipating that we were going to do that.
We architected Xbox One so that the game environment and the application environment are totally independent. So the game performance, just like a game console; developers can write to the metal, keep making the games better and better and better. And we have this other area over here that we can play in that can run on top of it, that can run side-by-side; you can have current things running without touching the game. That's going to give us a lot more flexibility to adapt and change than we had on the Xbox 360.
