Traitor’s Keep is the first DLC available for Fable III. Released on March 1, 2011, Traitor’s Keep includes a number of additions, including new areas, quests, and items. The official description from Fable III’s website is:

“Experience your first grand adventure as the ruler of Albion, visiting the kingdom's secret prison and tracking down the most dangerous criminals in the land. You may have led a rebellion once, but can you survive your encounters with a new wave of revolutionaries? To help you on your way, this pack also includes a Clockwork Dog Potion. Just let your dog have a sip when he's lying in his basket in the Sanctuary.”

Traitor’s Keep includes 10 achievements worth a total of 250 gamer points. The achievements mostly require you to find a number of books scattered around the new areas. The hardest achievement in the DLC is Set Them Free! which requires you to open a new Demon Door and the six in the original game. I highly suggest reading that guide before you begin playing as there is a potential glitch that can keep you from getting the achievement.

Decide the future of the Keep.
Once you’ve completed the main quest, as well as the “Manhunt” and “Undeath Sentence” side quests, you can start the side quest “Prison Management for Beginners.” For “Prison Management for Beginners” you will need to collect five volumes of the Penologist’s Handbook. You can find the volumes at the following locations:
  • Penologist’s Handbook, Volume I
    • Leave the office and go into the second cell to the right to find the book on the table inside.
  • Penologist’s Handbook, Volume II
    • From the main entrance to the keep, turn right and enter the kitchen. Go to the right and head up the stairs and enter the door on your left. Enter the third cell to the right and go to the back of the room. Go down the prisoner’s escape route to the right and follow the path until you come across an area with a chest on the left and a path on your right. Take the path to the right and open the door to find the book.
  • Penologist’s Handbook, Volume III
    • Go into the office and take the stairs down. Head to the right and follow the path to find the boiler room. The book is behind the door to your left.
  • Penologist’s Handbook, Volume IV
    • While standing outside of the keep, make your way towards the gallows. Before you reach the gallows, turn left to go onto the beach. You’ll find a cave behind a rusty gate. Open the gate and enter the cave, then make your way through to the back of the cave to find the book lying on a bed.
  • Penologist’s Handbook, Volume V
    • Start at the docks and make your way towards the keep. When you get to the stone staircase, turn right and go along the dirt path towards the crypts. Along this path you will find a gate that leads to another path. Go through the gate and enter the crypts where you will find the book sitting on a table.

Once you’ve collected all five books return to Lieutenant Hadley and choose to complete the quest and the achievement is yours.
