Hello. FixedBlade123 (Tim) here. I've been an Xbox fan for many years. I currently own the Xbox Series X but also have in my possession the Xbox One and Xbox One X. I sold my 360 a long time ago.

Anyway, I mainly joined this forum today to find some answers. I buy lots of games from Microsoft. Some expensive and high end and lots of cheapo time killers. I was recently playing Fallout 4 (for the tenth time) and had reached level 240 and had acquired more than 3 million caps. When I recently went to sign in, I was denied access and the game was over. Fortunately, it was at the exact same time that Oblivion Remastered entered the scene. So I've been playing that ever since.

Until today, that is. I was playing a couple of hours ago when I was kicked out and taken to may home screen. When I tried to re-enter the game, I was prompted to enter my Microsoft password for some reason. That's never happened before. So I entered my current password but got a message that it was "invalid." So I tried a couple of my most recent passwords and some older ones as well. None of them worked.

So, apparently, Microsoft has severed ties with my account.

Two questions:

1) Should I consider my console an expensive boat anchor at this point?
2) Is there a way I can still play games as a guest on the Xbox platform?

Just as a disclaimer: I haven't broken any Xbox/Microsoft rules that I know of. I used to play Elder Scroll Online but haven't been in a multiplayer game for several years so I can't imagine that anyone could have reported me for any reason.

Sorry for the long post. I'd normally be killing time on a Saturday playing video games but I'm already looking to move to PlayStation since I'm left with no option.
