GW2 free pass?

Are they doing something to get more people in the game? Someone just told me they received a free copy of the game and I am not sure if its a trial copy or the full game.

I'm not sure about this, but I honestly can't imagine them releasing the full version of the game for free. Even if they were experimenting with different marketing techniques, I would think giving the game away (even for a limited time) would lose them money.

I wonder if they received a review copy. How did they get it? Did they request it?

I really doubt they received the full copy for free... Maybe they somehow won a contest or drawing?
Ask them questions. I don't think there's any way to get in for free.

My guess is that this is coming from either a contest or a review copy. Those are the only legal means I can see this coming about.
