Has anyone heard about Microsoft's plan to launch their first "freemium" game for the Xbox 360 this year? The game is called Happy Wars and it will be free to play, but you can of course "enhance" your playing experience by purchasing additional items. All you will need to play is an Xbox live subscription. I believe the game is supposed to launch in the Fall of this year.

I hadn't hear about that. I'll check it out, but may just stick to my 'free' games on my iPad instead. It's one thing to play on the iPad when it's a free game because it takes two seconds to do what you have to do for each game, but I can't see logging into Xbox every day just to collect coins and build buildings or whatever the premise of the game is. If I login to play on Xbox, I want to play a REAL game. Just my two cents.

I've never heard of this, but I'm willing to try it. Contrary to JSTEP, I like the idea of a free game and if it's fun, I'll play it. What's the objective of the game?
