Implications of Virtual Reality

With the advancements in technology, sooner or later we'll have virtual reality. But if they are able to create a new game with realistic graphics that are the same as real life, and in these games you have super powers basically, would be be able to handle it? I think they would get addicted to the games and no longer want to live in the real world (there are already people like that) but on a larger scale.

I don't think it would be that big of a difference. Like you said, there are already people who do it now, without virtual reality. It would definitely create a larger push, but I don't think it would be huge.

Well, if they can create a 'simulated real world' like in Saints Row IV then people might get into it. But if I have to wear a heavy and clunky piece of head gear every time then I might just pass the opportunity
