Does anyone else feel that the 360 lacks exclusive games? It wasn't like this before, we had stuff like Alan Wake and Mass Effect... huge exclusives, but we eventually lost them to PC and PS3... we still have some huge exclusives such as Gears of War, Halo and Forza but when compared to how many Sony has it's really not much. We still do have a few like Lost Odyssey, Infinite Undiscovery, the first Dead Rising and Viva Piñata but none of these are huge exclusives. Plus, Lost Odyssey and Infinite Undiscovery were one-offs, Dead Rising's exclusivity was lost with the 2nd game and Viva Piñata is dead (plus, there was a FRIGGIN' DS game!)

Does anyone else wish the 360 had as many huge exclusives like the Sony consoles do? Because I personally do, I think it DESERVES more exclusives. Specially 1st party ones but it seems like Microsoft has no interest in actually making games.

(Sony has God of War, Uncharted, inFamous, Jak & Daxter, Ratchet & Clank, Sly Cooper, etc, etc...)

I agree that Microsoft doesn't have as many exclusive titles anymore. Personally, I don't really mind that there aren't many exclusives, as I have both systems. I really prefer playing on my Xbox though, so it would be great to have Uncharted on the Xbox!

Your thread actually just made me notice that :P

The only exclusive games I play on the Xbox 360 anymore are the Halo games, and that's about it. Would definitely like to see Microsoft push themselves a bit more in this department.

The 360 was never that great with Exclusives, since it didn't really need to be. Right out of the door, it was cheaper, more user friendly, and more reliable. The only reason Playstation 3 has so many exclusives is because they want to be the elitest pros that they are. Most games are multi-console now, so it doesn't really matter if we have exclusives or not in my opinion. Even when they were new, I didn't really care for the whole point of having that "Exclusive" experience on the console. The only reason I bought the Xbox 360 instead of the PS3 was because the other was $300 cheaper.

Indeed, and that is why i am still skeptical about the Xbox 720. Will they start having some exclusives to sell the console, or are they thinking that Gears of War, Halo and Forza are good enough to continue to pull this crap?

Probably because it's getting harder to get exclusives. And more costly as well. Probably harder to find any also. The game market is pretty big so it's not like any console can just dominate with exclusives all the time.

Game developers get more money if it is multi-system. Besides the Xbox gets the DLC first because of Microsoft's developers agreement. That pretty much says they either get exclusive rights to the game or they receive the dlc first. Of course you can still multi-console by saying the funds just weren't there for DLC development later down the road

Like I said before, Exclusives were only important when both the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 first came out. Seeing as most, if not all of the "Extremely successful" series are available on all systems, there's no point anymore. Also, to "Lehman" the only game that Microsoft has a monopoly on for First DLC is Call of Duty, and in my opinion, that's not something that is even that important. Seeing as everyone gets it later down the road anyway, who cares. As of late, the DLC for Call of Duty has been getting progressively worse.
