Below you can find the reviews for Madden NFL 13. This new installment to the long established franchise has a much improved passing game, now similar to the new NCAA game. They've also completely revamped scouting and free agency and added Connected Career mode which is basically the ultimate online experience, whether your on your console, mobile phone or computer.

After a bit of a down year last season, Madden NFL 13 rebounds nicely with a host of new features and creative revisions to legacy features, led by the eye-popping visuals of the physics-driven Infinity Engine, a shiny new Career mode, and more AI fixes than you can wave a Terrible Towel at. All in all, it’s clear the team at Tiburon took a hard look at ways to bring the franchise back to its former glory. Some annoying bugs persist here and there, but overall, Madden NFL 13 stands as one of my favorite football experiences of this generation.

Madden NFL 13 does something the Madden franchise hasn't done in years: it makes me want to keep playing. Yes, the commentators will repeat themselves and funky animations are going to pop up, but the game as a whole is so good. The TV presentation, the refined gameplay, the more lifelike physics -- it all adds up to Madden NFL 13 being something truly special.

Madden NFL 13 innovates on the already-strong gameplay with a revamped physics engine and a new Connected Careers mode. Despite a few hiccups, these changes make it one of the best releases of Madden in recent memory.

Despite a few small issues, Madden NFL 13 is the best version of the same basic game that has existed for years. Nominal improvements in most aspects create a more believable experience, both on the field and off, and the expanded career mode lets you decide how much control you want in creating your team. But these changes never go beyond what you'd expect for a yearly sequel. And though the aesthetics have been improved, the core gameplay lacks the dynamic changes that make the real sport so exciting to watch.

Overall, Madden 13 remains quite raw. The engine shows a great deal of promise, and Connected Careers features a lot of interesting ideas, but there’s no question that this is a rebuilding year. The best news is that EA finally seems to be on the right track. Give it another year, and Madden may at last be a true contender.
