My apologies if this question has been answered a hundred times. We have an Xbox One, and just bought an Xbox S. I had no idea it was 100% digital. So are all my disc games worthless on the Xbox S?
No, the games are not worthless. You can simply port your account over to the series S and all disc-purchased games should appear in your library. Keep the One if you plan to keep buying physical games.

He bought the Xbox Series S to play his disc-based games. You cannot play any disc-based games on the XBSS and they will not play digitally unless he purchases the digital version of the games. The correct answer to his question is the disc base games are worthless on the XBSS. You did help with an option to keep playing them on the XB1. The XBSX plays the disc based and digital games.
